The Rotary Club of Narvacan joined District 3790 in the recently concluded Midterm Review on January 20, 2024, at Gia's Farm Events Urdaneta Pangasinan Based on the citation club achievements, Rotary Clubs came to report their progress, achievements, and performance for the first six months. With this, clubs that achieved at least 60% Citation Goals were given recognition RC Narvacan was recognized as among the Cluster Top Club in Polio Plus Giving Qualifier, Service Project Qualifier, District Gold Citation Qualifier, and Governor's Appreciation Award recipient. DG Francis Cornejo congratulated all the clubs for their contribution to these accomplishments, and he encouraged all clubs to see more goals completed before the RY 20232024 ends

Chess is more than just a game; it can transform the minds and characters of children The Rotary Club of Narvacan, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Vigan and the Ilocos Sur Chess Club, organized a Chess Tournament for youth ages 18 years and below The tournament provided a platform for young players to showcase their skills, develop critical thinking skills, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities By competing against different opponents, children gain confidence and self-esteem through practice and improvement.
The Rotary Club of Narvacan, in partnership with ASSISTAsiaandPMFTCInc.,hastakenuptheAnnakk Project to promote, educate, and empower youth groups, schools, local communities, and civil society organizations to work towards strengthening child labor protection The ANNAKK: Child Labor Learning Session held on January 20, 2024, at Nan Chong Chinese School in Vigan City was a significant step in this direction The event saw active participation from Tabaco Farmers of Philip Morris, Universal Leaf Narvacan, and San Juan, all of whom shared their experiences and learned from the session. The session was conducted by Rtn Chevette Macalma of RC Narvacan who drew on her vast knowledge of law and child protection to enlighten the attendees The Learning Session was an essential part of the group's initiative as it provided a platform for stakeholders to share their knowledge and experiences and learn from others
TheRotaryClubofNarvacan'scommitmenttothewelfareof children is evident in its continued efforts to support programs that improve their well-being The Annakk Project is one such initiative that aims to eradicate child labor and promote child protection It is a long-term project that involvesvariousstakeholdersandaimstocreateasupportive environment for the development of children The Rotary ClubofNarvacan'spartnershipwithASSISTAsiaandPMFTC Inc has brought together organizations with a shared vision of promoting child welfare and protection The ANNAKK: Child Labor Learning Session was a success, and it is hoped that such initiatives will continue to contribute towards buildingasocietythatvaluesandprotectsitschildren

An amputee faces a lifetime of discrimination and abandonment Their inability to walk prevents them from employment to be selfsufficient, and they end up begging The Rotary Club of Narvacan joined Cluster 1a of RI District 3790 in addressing this challenge of amputee patients in the area with the Libre Artificial Limb Project "Magna Manen" last November 13, 2023 The Club transported the amputees from Narvacan to Black Nazarene Hospital, San Nicolas IlocosNorte,forthemeasurementsandfreeartificiallegs Theproject aimed to provide free limbs for amputees who came from lowincome families and could not afford to have them artificial limbs With the free prosthetic legs, the beneficiaries can return to their everyday life, have a new chance for the adult to return to work, and students can go back to school, play and run, and help themselves in their daily activities The new prostheses will allow them to better adapttotheuniqueandchallengingchangeintheirlife,givingthema new chance for an everyday and happy life This endeavor is a partnership with the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown (India) RI District 3201, Mahavir Philippine Foundation Inc, Bulacan Philippines, Black Nazarne Hospital, IncPWD Office-Ilocos Norte, and all Rotary ClubsofCluster1aofRIDistrict3790composedofRCBangued,RC Vigan RCNarvacan,RCMagsingalNorth,RCIlocosNorteCentral,RC Laoag Sunshine, and RC Laoag Metro Ilocos Norte, headed by AG MaryJaneNoble.
