General Information

Mission Statement

The mission of the Freeport Park District is to promote the use of recreation in generating an exciting, dynamic quality of life by providing the highest quality facilities and programs to meet the ever-changing needs and interests of individuals of all ages and abilities. The Park District will preserve and protect land and resources for the enrichment of the community and future generations.

Residency Policy

For purposes of registering for a Freeport Park District program, renting a District facility or purchasing a District service at the resident rate, the individual’s primary residence must be within the Freeport Park District boundaries. Any owner of real estate within the boundaries of the Freeport Park District and paying taxes to the Freeport Park District, but residing outside the boundaries of the Park District, shall receive the resident rate, as will his immediate family. Immediate family defined as spouse and/or children residing with property owner. Proof shall be required in the form of property tax bill and photo identification.

Gift Certificates

Freeport Park District gift cards are great for any occasion and can be used towards recreation program registrations, season passes, facility rentals and admissions. Gift cards can be purchased for any denomination and quantity. To purchase a gift card, please visit the Freeport Park District Administration Center or call us at 815-235-6114 ext. 0.

Americans with Disabilities Act

If you need assistance in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact the Freeport Park District Administration Center or state your need when registering for a Freeport Park District program.

Photo Policy

Occasionally, Park District staff may videotape, or photograph participants enrolled in programs, classes, events or enjoying park facilities. These photographs are for Park District publications, flyers, brochures and future promotional materials. All photos and videos taken on Park District property are for Park District use and become its sole property.

Financial Aid

The Freeport Park District recognizes the need within our community to provide assistance to residents who do not have the financial resources to participate in the fee-based services we provide. Financial Aid is available for Freeport Park District residents who meet the District’s Financial Aid program guidelines. Financial Aid Guidelines and Application are available at the Freeport Park District Administration Center.

Donation Policy

The Freeport Park District is committed to partnering, collaborating and supporting local non-profit organizations whose activities support or enhance leisure opportunities for the Freeport community. All donation requests shall be submitted to the Board of Commissioners through the Executive Director no later than 30 days prior to the date of the event or need.

General Use Regulations

A complete set of rules and regulations regarding the Freeport Park District is on file and available for public use at the Administrative Office located at 1122 S. Burchard Avenue. Residents are welcome to stop by and pick up a copy.

Public Nuisance Regulations

The Freeport Park District is committed to operating our parks in a safe and secure manner. A Motor Vehicle which is used in violation of Sound Amplification Systems, Window Obstructed Vision, Curfew Violation, Required Liability Insurance, Underage Possession of Alcoholic Liquor, Unlawful Possession of Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Weapon, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer shall be declared a public nuisance and a threat to public safety.

Freeport Parks Foundation

The Freeport Parks Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created to provide resources beyond conventional public funding to enrich and enhance the Freeport Park District. The Foundation is fully committed to assisting the Freeport Park District reach its full potential in terms of land acquisition, facility enhancement, parks beautification, and programming. If you are interested in contributing to the Foundation or would like additional information, please call 815-801-2500.

Bunny Trail

Saturday, April 19, 2025 • 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Trail begins by the Krape Park Carousel Hippity hop over to Krape Park and bring a basket to gather eggstra special treats. The trail begins by the carousel and walkways are stroller, wheelchair and BUNNY friendly! Along the way, the entire family can visit with the bunny, participate in fun activities, and interact with barn yard animals in the petting zoo. Admission is free and pre-registration is not required.

Wing It! Cup

Saturday, June 7, 2025 • 9:00 am - 11:00 am Wing It! Mini Golf Course, Krape Park

FORE bragging rights and fun, get a team together of up to 4 people to participate in the 2025 Wing It! Cup! Join us in celebrating our new ADA accessible, naturebased, 18-hole mini-golf course: Wing It! There will be two tee times at 9 am and 10 am with a shot-gun start. Awards and prizes will be announced at 11 am for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Each player must pre-register and regular course rates apply. Adult entry is $7 and youth is $6. Limited slots are available for this event.

Arbor Day Celebration

Friday, April 25, 2025 • 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Gunkel Shelter, Krape Park

Arbor Day will be recognized and celebrated by the Kiwanis Club, City of Freeport, and Freeport Park District. This park event brings Kiwanis Club Kids from local elementary schools to Krape Park to learn about trees and help plant one in the park. Interactive stations will be set up in the Gunkel Shelter led by Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension. Berin Jackson will guide tree planting. The public is welcome to attend.

Music on the Patio

Friday, June 13, July 11, August 8 • 5:00 - 8:00 pm Park Hills Golf Course

Golfers and non-golfers will enjoy spectacular views and toe-tapping entertainment from local musicians. Grab a foursome and a comfy lawn chair. Bring the entire family and join us outside on the patio. We’ll be serving up great entertainment, snacks, and adult beverages. Admission is free.

World Migratory Bird Day

Saturday, May 10, 2025 • 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Oakdale Nature Preserve Park

Step outside and join the Northwest Illinois Bird and Nature Alliance to recognize World Migratory Bird Day and this year’s theme of: Creating Bird-Friendly Cities and Communities! Explore the importance of protecting our shared spaces with wildlife and learn about the impact of human activities and expanding urban developments effect on birds. Attendees will learn bird-friendly practices, making sure our community becomes a safe haven for these remarkable travelers. We will go on a hike, bird watch, play games, make a craft, and learn our role in protecting birds. Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab and Education will be bringing rescued animals for a meet and greet. Come out for a night swim and a fun poolside party with the family! There will be music and games with prizes. Concessions will be available. Admission fees and rules apply. Participants 12 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Proper swim attire is required.

Pretzel City 5K

Saturday, June 28, 2025 • Race starts at 8:00 am

Check in at Gunkel Shelter in Krape Park

On Your Mark...Get Set...GO! Are you a novice looking to conquer your first 5K or a seasoned competitor training to beat your personal best? All levels of runners and walkers are welcome to participate. The course consists of flat roadways and paths that wind through picturesque Krape Park. The Pretzel City 5K is a Rockford Road Runners circuit race. All pre-registered participants will receive an event t-shirt while supplies last. Awards and refreshments to follow the completion of the race.

Wing It! Glow Golf

Saturday, July 26, 2025

7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Wing It! Mini Golf Course, Krape Park

Join us for a glow-tastic evening to celebrate our new Mini-Golf Course: Wing It! Play a round of mini-putt with glow-in-the-dark golf balls and complementary glow sticks! This annual event will “putt” a smile on faces of all ages. Standard admission fees apply.

Join us at Krape Park for a night of family fun under the stars. Pack your snacks, bug spray, chairs, and blankets! Krape Park Art Walk

Calling all area artisans and enthusiasts of handmade art! This event will have artists and crafters from across the region gather to showcase and sell their finest work! Krape Park Art Walk will bring you a great collection of creative people, skilled makers, and a vast array of what is celebrated as handmade. There will be live music, carousel rides, children’s entertainment, a community craft, and tasty servings from local food vendors. Deadline for artist and craft vendors submissions is August 1, 2025. Autumn Leaf Run

Saturday, October 4, 2025

Race starts at 9:00 am

Oakdale Nature Preserve Park

Take in the spectacular scenery at the Autumn Leaf Run. It’s open to all ages and all skill levels of runners, walkers and nature enthusiasts. The 5K trail winds through diverse terrain, including wide tree-lined trails, moderate hills, prairie areas, bridge crossings and several single-track trail sections. The start and finish lines will be in close proximity. All proceeds go to the Freeport Parks Foundation to help fund upcoming projects at Oakdale Nature Preserve Park.

KRAPE PARK ArtWalk

Oakdale Fall Festival

Saturday, October 4, 2025 • 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Oakdale Nature Preserve Park

This fun family-friendly event will have something for everyone to appreciate! Explore our trails, listen to LIVE music, and spend your afternoon at Oakdale! Enjoy wagon rides through the prairie, try your hand at axe throwing, play yard games, journey through a hay maze, paint pumpkins, complete a fall craft with the Freeport Public Library, and enjoy food and treats from local vendors! Follow the event on Facebook for the day’s itinerary and more information as the event gets closer.

Candyland Ball

Register now for this treasured gala for Dads (or significant adult) and daughters 13 yrs or younger. It’s the perfect opportunity to dress up and enjoy an evening of royalty and dancing at the Masonic Event Center. Pre-registration is required per person and space is limited.

Trick or Treat Trail

Saturday, October 25, 2025 • 3:00 - 5:00 pm

Trail begins by the Krape Park Carousel

How do you load up on Halloween treats in a fun, totally safe and festive outdoor setting? There’s a trick…it’s the Trick-or-Treat Trail! Parents appreciate the one-stop convenience, stroller-friendly walkways, and this safe alternative to trekking up and down streets. The trail begins near the carousel and admission is free.

Mom & Me Masquerade

Moms (or significant adult), your special young man 13 yrs or younger would love to escort you to an evening of dancing, prizes, games, and entertainment at the Masonic Event Center. Pre-registration is required per person and space is limited.

Winter Activities

Read Park Ice Rink

Weather permitting, ice skating and hocky are available at the regulation sized, outdoor ice rink located in Read Park adjacent to the Family Aquatic Center. The rink is lighted for nighttime use, and is shared for general skating and ice hockey. When skaters are present, hockey is restricted to the west side of the ice rink.

Krape Park Sled Hill

This popular slope is located next to the Koenig Amphitheater in Krape Park. Patrons are required to follow the posted guidelines. To protect this green space, patrons should not use the sled hill when it is closed.

Cross-Country Skiing/ Snowshoeing/Fat Tire Bicycling

Enjoy outdoor winter activities that are low impact and cardio pumping. Oakdale Nature Preserve Park and Krape Park are great locations for hiking as well as other winter sports. Please observe trail rules and etiquette.

Program Registration

Registration for Park District Programs is Handled on a First-Come, FirstServed Basis . The Importance of Registering Early

Please note that each Freeport Park District program has a registration deadline that is listed in the program description. Registration deadlines are created to allow time for staff to determine if minimum enrollment is met, create schedules, order supplies and equipment, form rosters and organize other resources to ensure a successful program. Registration may not be accepted after the published registration deadline. Many Freeport Park District programs have a maximum capacity and fill up quickly. It is strongly encouraged to register early to guarantee enrollment in a program.

Program Cancellations

The Freeport Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes.

Program Refund Policy

Refunds for classes and events will be given if requested two weeks or more prior to the program start time (minus a $5 service charge). If a refund request is made within two weeks (14 days) of the start of the class or program, only a partial reimbursement (less a $5 service charge and direct program expenses) will be issued. Refunds for bus trips (minus a $5 service charge) will be issued only for a documented medical emergency or if arrangements are made for someone to fill the opening. Cash refunds will not be issued once the class/program has begun. A Program Refund Request Form must be completed and submitted to the Park District Administration Center before a refund will be issued.

Inclusion

The Freeport Park District provides year-round opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate with their peers in general recreational programs. Inclusion opportunities are available to individuals of all ability levels and ages. If you or a family member would like to enroll in a Park District program and need assistance, simply request additional services at the time you register. The request will be reviewed and the appropriate assistance determined. The Recreation Supervisor will monitor progress throughout the program by staying in direct contact with the individual or caregiver. The sooner we have the information about your request, the better chances are for a successful inclusion experience. Please provide at least two weeks notice prior to the start of the program date for an inclusion request. Need Transportation?

The Freeport Park District does not provide transportation to and from programs, however, the Pretzel City Transit currently provides transportation 6:00 am through midnight Monday through Friday, and 6:00 am through 1:00 pm on Saturdays. All rides provided by Pretzel City Transit are demand response rides. In other words, there is no fixed route. Those needing a ride can call dispatch at 815-235-RIDE the day before to schedule a pick-up.

Behavior Policy

All participants attending Freeport Park District activities or using Freeport Park District facilities are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been created in order to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for all participants. Additional rules and guidelines may vary for specific programs as deemed necessary by staff.

All Participants/Patrons Will:

• Show respect to all participants, staff, and volunteers.

• Follow program rules and take direction from recreation staff.

• Refrain from using abusive or foul language.

• Refrain from threatening or causing bodily harm to self or others.

• Show respect for property, including equipment, supplies, and facilities.

• Not be in possession of weapons.

If Inappropriate Behavior Does Occur, Recreation Staff Will Attempt to Resolve the Problem Using the Following Conduct Model:

• First offense – verbal warning.

• Second offense – time-out of activity and discussion with supervisor.

• Third offense – suspension of activity/ facility privileges, removal from activity/facility for remainder of the day.

If a participant continues to refuse following directions of recreation staff or if the incident is an emergency, Police will be called and the participant may face further disciplinary action. The Park District reserves the right to dismiss a participant whose behavior endangers his or her own safety or the safety of others.

Bus Trips

Chicago Botanical Garden

Experience all the colors of summer and see the beautiful blooms! Explore 385 acres of nature and beauty with Bruce Cubberley, Executive Director. Spend your day as you please walking the gardens, bird watching, shopping at the Garden Shop, visiting the café for tasty drinks and treats, and browsing the art exhibits. Extensive walking is required; paths are accessible. Admission to the Gardens, Grand Tram Tour, and Model Railroad Exhibit are all included in registration. Buses will depart from the parking lot at the Administration Center in Read Park.

Chicago Cubs vs St. Louis Cardinals

Hop aboard. Let us take you out to the ball game! We’re headed to Wrigley Field to watch the Chicago Cubs. To reach the stadium, you’ll need to walk several blocks from the bus parking area and climb stadium stairs. Buses will depart from the parking lot on McKinley Avenue in Read Park.

Aurora Outlets

Shop til you drop! Join us as we adventure to the Chicago Premium Outlet Mall! This outdoor shopping mall has over 170 name-brand stores, a food court, playground, and art installations to explore. Get all your back-to-school shopping done in one stop! Walking is required, and be prepared for weather as this mall is outdoors. Buses will depart from the parking lot at the Administration Center in Read Park.

Magnificent Mile

FaLaLa! Enjoy the holiday decorations and shopping in Chicago without the hassle of city driving. We’ll drop you off right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile where you can shop, see the lights and explore unique cuisines. All children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Buses will depart from the Read Park parking lot located behind Little Cubs Field.

Swim Lessons - Level 1

All classes will be held at Read Park Family Aquatic Center

Introduction to Water Skills - Participants will learn to enter and exit water safely, float on front and back, submerge underwater, exhale underwater, explore swimming on front and back, follow basic water safety rules, and submerge to pick up objects underwater.

Fundamental Aquatic Skills - Participants will build on skills learned in Level 1 and learn to tread water, explore swimming on side, perform rhythmic breathing, glide on front and back, rollover front to back, and swim on front and back using combined strokes.

Swim Lessons - Level 3

Stroke Development - Participants will build on skills learned in Level 2 and learn to jump into deep water, dive from sitting or kneeling position, bob with head fully submerged, perform rotary breathing, survival float, swim front crawl, swim back crawl, perform butterfly kick and body motion, perform HELP and huddle positions, perform reaching assists, and use Check-Call-Care in case of an emergency.

Swim Lessons - Level 5

Stroke Refinement - Participants will build upon skills learned in Level 4 and further refine the front crawl, back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and elementary backstroke. Participants will also learn to shallow dive and begin swimming, tread water with two different kicks, survival swimming, tuck and pike surface dives, front flip turn, backstroke flip turn, and rescue breathing.

If you are looking for more individualized swim instruction, private swim lessons are available at the Read Park Family Aquatic Center. Private lessons are available for any level of swimmer age 3 and older. Private Beginning

Diving Lessons

Designed for good swimmers who are comfortable in deep water. This course develops strength, flexibility and confidence while learning basic dives off a onemeter springboard. Emphasis is placed on safe diving. Join us on the last Wednesday of the month at Tot Time! Bring your little ones to the park for a fun-filled hour of crafting, playtime, storytelling, games, and a thrilling group parachute activity to top it all off! Lil’ Kickers Soccer

Lil’ Kickers is a newly revitalized instructional soccer program. This 4-week session will focus on the basics and fundamentals of the world’s game; soccer. Participants will learn dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Location: Krape Park, Flagstaff Playground Shelter

Youth Pickleball

Pickleball is a popular paddle sport that can be enjoyed by all! It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. The rules are simple, and the game is easy to learn. Meet us at the pickleball courts in Krape Park. Paddles and balls will be provided.

Sports Sampler

This exciting instructional class will introduce your child to a different sport every class including soccer, t-ball, tennis, football, volleyball, and golf. Please ask for a schedule with class locations when registering.

Youth Tennis Lessons

This class provides a solid foundation to build skills and understand stance. Instruction includes hand-eye-coordination, racket skills, and stroke production with emphasis on ground strokes, serves, returns, and volleys. Court position, scoring, and singles and doubles are also introduced. These classes are non-continuous. Each class covers beginning fundamentals.

Master Sung Sop An and his black belt staff from the Rockford Academy instruct all classes. The Rockford Academy is World Tae Kwon Do Federation licensed, which means that each student’s belt level will be recognized anywhere in the world.

The Freeport Park District does not require you to purchase any additional equipment to participate in martial art classes. However, if you would like to move up in the rank/belt system additional equipment, uniform, and testing fees will be determined by your instructor. Participation in competitions outside of the class will require additional registration and equipment fees.

Little Ninjas

Tai Chi Chuan is a gentle form of exercise for relaxation. Tai Chi can help reduce stress and physical aches while keeping your system strong. Adult Activities & Fitness

Roll With It Fitness

Parents: Prep your strollers or wagons for an hour-long workout where kids join and ride along! Your fitness instructor will teach you stroller friendly exercises and ways to keep kids involved while achieving personal wellness goals. Meet other parents and experience trail and path exercises in our parks this summer! Locations as follows: Day 1: Read Park, Day 2: Krape Park, Day 3: Oakdale

Yoga

Join us at the Krape Park Community Building for Yoga. Classes will include movement (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and mindfulness (centering and meditation). Classes will also utilize various yoga styles and philosophies for a well-rounded, heart-centered, and joyful practice that will guide you to physical, mental and emotional balance. All levels of experience are welcome! Mats and supplies are provided for class use, or bring your own.

Adult Co-Ed Slow-Pitch Softball Leagues

In these adult softball leagues, teams will compete in a 10-week season ending with a double elimination playoff, but only the top 8 teams of each league will qualify for the playoffs. Rosters must consist of at least 7 to 13 players who are 18 years old or older; 10 players are allowed on the field at once. There are no official umpires for these leagues. The umpire will be a member of the batting team, and a mat will be used to call balls and strikes. Teams will use a 12" Clincher Double Header Ball in the 12" league, and a 14" Clincher Extra Soft Gymball in the 14" league.

Little Sprouts

Kids will explore, get messy, and make a nature-based craft that parallels our seasonal learning session. Kids will gain a better understanding about the outdoors, wildlife, and apply what they learn to leave the world a better place! Each season we will have a theme: all about bugs, animal tracks, seeds, and hibernation. Please send your little sprouts in play clothes and tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle! Jr. Naturalist

We are providing seasonal opportunities for young adults and teens to learn about gardening, growing, and wildlife in our region for specific times of the year! Participants will take home a nature-based craft. Location: Krape Park Community Building

S’more to Love

Come out to Oakdale and celebrate having S’more to Love with the seasons! Enjoy a short hike, s’mores by the fire, storytelling, and rock painting. Each participant must register. Kids 10 and under must attend with a registered adult. Location: Oakdale Nature Preserve Park

Moonlight Hike

Bring the family out for flashlight tag in the green space by the shelter and join your leader on a moonlight hike with flashlights! End the evening with a cup of cocoa fireside. NASR’s Got Talent!

If you like water, this is the sport for you! Work with trained swim instructors to improve your overall performance. Practice swim strokes, starts, turns, and the overall rules of competition. Disc Golf at Krape Park

The 18-hole course is located in the Flagstaff area of the park and uses the area’s natural terrain for a picturesque yet challenging disc golf experience. The game is a cross between frisbee and golf. Each hole is approximately 300 feet long and begins with a “drive” from a tee and ends with a “putt” into an elevated basket. The course is open year-round.

Make a Splash!!! Cool off this summer at the Read Park Family Aquatic Center, which features a 40-ft. water slide, water play features, zerodepth entry and more. The season is set to open on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Actual hours of operation are subject to weather. Passes for the 2025 season are on sale at the Administration Center in Read Park open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Group Rates

Groups of 20 or more receive a $1 per person discount off daily admission rate between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. To receive this discount, groups must present themselves at the pool at one time. Groups of 20 or more must register ahead of time by calling 815-235-6114.

Pool Rental

The Family Aquatic Center is the perfect location for birthday parties, church gatherings, company outings, or other festive occasions. The Aquatic Center can be reserved for a private party on select Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Book reservations at the Administration Center in Read Park or call us at 815-235-6114.

Skateboards, scooters and inline roller skates are all permitted at the 11,000 sq. ft. skate park located in Read Park. Helmets and other protective gear are highly recommended.

$60 — Premium setup per-field — One time setup, including smooth infield finished with 4" chalk lines, foul lines, batter boxes, pitching circle, running lanes, coach’s boxes (Krape Park).

*Scoreboard use determined upon request, deposit required, any damages will be assessed – Requires key check out and refundable damage deposit of $50.

If your group must cancel a reservation, the following policy is in effect: No refunds due to poor weather, or any other reason.

Facilities & Park Rules

Facility Rental/Reservation Policies

A $100 deposit is required for all indoor facility rentals and is due at time of reservation purchase. Your deposit will be forfeited if you do not return the key, if there is any damage, or if excessive cleanup is required.

Reservations can only be made within each calendar year. A $50 surcharge will be added to your rental fee for all reservations outside the current calendar year up to 1 year in advance. An additional fee of $100 will be charged to groups of 150 or more utilizing a Park District facility.

Non-profit organizations planning to conduct fundraisers on Freeport Park District property must apply for a permit at the Administration Center in Read Park. If the organization is not renting a facility or paying a user fee, the organization will pay a flat rate of $50. For further details about these policies, contact the Administration Center in Read Park, (815) 235-6114.

Park Usage Rules

The complete Park District rules, regulation and ordinances, which govern public usage of Park property and facilities, are available at the Administration Center or online at www.freeportparkdistrict.org/additionalinformationresources/. Tickets may be issued for violating regulations. Penalties vary. Park fines are determined by violation classifications: (A), (B), (C), and (D). Maximum fine is $500.

• Park Sites shall be open to the public from dawn until dusk, or as posted (Class C).

• Pedestrians and bicyclists always have the right of way over motor vehicles. (B)

• Park patrons may feed the white domesticated ducks in Krape Park. Feeding wild ducks and geese or any other wild animal is prohibited. (D)

• Under no circumstances are temporary signs, balloons or any other items to be pinned, stapled or otherwise attached or placed on any tree, park sign or along the roadway. This action will be considered littering. (C)

• Motor vehicles are restricted to roadways, parking lots or designated parking areas only. Vehicles are not permitted on park walkways or trails at any time. This prohibition includes loading and unloading purposes. (B)

• Fires are only allowed in designated metal fireplaces that are provided by the District. Use of all privately owned grills (gas or charcoal) is not permitted without prior approval from the District. Use of gas grills will require a certificate of insurance from your homeowner insurance carrier naming the Park District as additionally insured. (A)

• Tents, nets or canopy structures are not permitted without prior approval from the Administration Office. (B)

• Picnics and events utilizing third party suppliers (tent rental, caterers, etc.) must be approved by the Park District in advance and may require the purchase of a liability insurance policy naming the Park District as additionally insured for the duration of the event including setup and breakdown dates. The use of all third-party suppliers require at least 30 days advance notice to the event.

• The use of amplified sound (public address systems, radios, boom box, musical instruments) is prohibited unless authorized in writing by the Executive Director. Groups seeking authorization should consider use of the Koenig Amphitheater. (B)

• The use of profane, abusive or loud, boisterous language or conducting oneself in a disorderly manner is prohibited. (A)

• Activities that damage or disturb any natural or man-made feature are prohibited. (A)

• Possession or consumption of alcohol and/or illegal drugs is prohibited. (A)

• The possession or discharge of firearms, fireworks or explosives is prohibited. (A)

• Wading or swimming in all district creeks and ponds is prohibited. (D)

• Minors under 10 years of age shall at all times be under the direct supervision and control of a parent, guardian or responsible adult custodian. The applicant/user is responsible for monitoring the conduct of their guests or invitees. (D)

• All dogs and pets must be on a leash, no longer than 10 feet, at all times. Hitching or tying an animal to a tree, bush or shrub is prohibited. The owner is responsible for the conduct of the animal and shall carry equipment and supplies for removing feces and shall place feces deposited by the dog or pet in an appropriate receptacle Continuously barking dogs and/or animals displaying overly aggressive behavior will not be permitted in any park. (D)

• All waste and trash must be deposited in proper garbage receptacles. (A)
