T he Freedom T heatre is a community based theatre and cultural cetre in Jenin Refugee Camp, occupied palestine.

T he Freedom T heatre offers a unique programme of activities in performing arts and multimedia, including acting, psychodrama, playback theatre, stage design, filmmaking, photography and creative writing.

the biggest problem I have encountered in my studies in social work is girls who are deprived of their freedom, who are imprisoned in the house or subjected to violence. I want to use film to capture real stories and show people that women have the right to do what they want and that it’'s not dangerous. It’'s important because to this day there are people who imprison their daughters because they are afraid of what might happen to them. If I make films about women who are free, who work, who do what they want, then people will know there is no reason to be afraid.” d THE FREEDOM THEATRE

2011 was a devastating year for The Freedom Theatre. In April, Juliano Mer Khamis, co-founder of The Freedom Theatre and its visionary leader, was murdered. The staff and members of the theatre had to deal not only with the shock of losing a beloved colleague, teacher and friend, but also the uncertainty of not knowing who killed Juliano and why. In addition, the theatre faced ongoing harassment by the Israeli army, which rendered three innocent staff members imprisoned and many more interrogated and beaten. All were later released without charge.

Against all odds, the staff, board and members managed to keep the theatre from collapsing and thanks to the support from friends around the world, we got through the storm. A period of contemplation and reorganizing followed, from which we came out stronger in our commitment to keeping The Freedom Theatre going and once again thriving.

When the year came to an end, all our activities were once again up and running, as well as new ones initiated. We are looking ahead towards a promising new year with major projects such as a Street Theatre production and the Freedom Bus event that you are

invited to join (read more about it on our website and on www.freedombus.ps). We also hope to engage a new group of students in the Acting School and several of the former students that graduated last year have joined the theatre as promising actors or trainers.

Nevertheless, we will not forget, and we will not cease to demand, unconditionally, that those responsible for Juliano’s death be brought to justice.

Just as The Freedom Theatre was built on the inspiration and legacy of Arna, Juliano’s mother, so will its future work be built on the legacy of Juliano. It will carry on his message to promote freedom – not only for the Palestinian people but for all human beings.

We are mourning, but we will continue our resistance through art, continue our struggle, continue to do our better than best.

As Juliano would say: The Revolution must go on!

our mission The Freedom Theatre is developing a vibrant and creative artistic community in the northern part of the West Bank. While emphasising professionalism and innovation, the aim of the theatre is also to empower youth and women in the community and to explore the potential of arts as an important catalyst for social change.

Through its work, The Freedom Theatre aims to: ■■ Raise the quality of performing and visual arts in the area; ■■ Offer a space in which children and youth can act, create and express themselves freely and equally, imagine new realities and challenge existing social and cultural barriers; ■■ Empower the young generation to use the arts to promote positive change in their community; ■■ Break the cultural isolation that separates Jenin from the wider Palestinian and global communities.

Culture Cultureas asresistance resistance Although The Freedom Theatre’s focus is on theatre and visual arts, we do not take a neutral position on the issue of Israeli apartheid, colonization, occupation and military rule. Nor do we turn a blind eye to the violation of human rights in general or the rights of women and children in particular.

For the oppressed, the arts have and will always be a powerful tool against the oppressors. For the Palestinian people, artistic expression is an integrated part of their struggle for justice, equality and freedom.

The Freedom Theatre operates in Jenin Refugee Camp in the northern part of the West Bank. The area is among the most severely affected by decades of Israeli occupation and internal conflicts and is largely isolated – culturally, economically and politically.

This sense of isolation runs deep within the camp and particularly affects the young generation.

The Freedom Theatre plays an important role in strengthening resilience and contravening feelings of apathy and hopelessness by contributing to the enrichment of cultural life. Since The Freedom Theatre opened its doors in 2006, culture and the arts have been brought back to centre stage in the community. More than 100 000 aspiring artists, spectators, visitors and friends have come together in the theatre to engage, perform, create and excel.

Making quality a primary aim, The Freedom Theatre has staged several professional theatre productions, and published numerous books, photography exhibitions and short films. We have substantially increased local artistic capacity and developed an extensive network of partners and supporters in Occupied Palestine and throughout the world.

TURNING THE PYRAMID OF POWER UPSIDE DOWN Turning the pyramid of authority and power upside down is central to the work of The Freedom Theatre. We do so by challenging oppressive elements in society through presenting alternative realities and by defying hierarchical orders of power and decision-making.

Under the pressure of occupation and isolation, the local community has turned to increasingly conservative values and this has affected girls and women particularly harshly. The Freedom Theatre puts a strong focus on including girls and women in all its activities and to recruit women to positions traditionally consigned to men. Female participation has increased dramatically in recent years and during 2011 a majority of the participants in our activities were women and girls from Jenin Refugee Camp, Jenin city and surrounding areas.

While we devote great efforts to increase women’s participation and influence, the main focus is on gender equality, bringing to light the experiences, knowledge and interest of both women and men.

PROMOTING FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION Although they span a wide field, a common theme in The Freedom Theatre’s activities is its focus on critical thinking and pluralism. Children, youth and adults are exposed to a diversity of voices and opinions and are encouraged to reflect, discuss and challenge social and cultural barriers. Participants produce their own materials on themes that are not prescribed but rather developed naturally as a result of their personal and shared experiences. This allows for a wide range of issues to be communicated to the surrounding community and to the world.

2011 IN BRIEF Our main achievement in 2011 was keeping the doors of The Freedom Theatre open in the worst possible circumstances. Here is a brief summary of our other achievements throughout the year: The in-house production Alice in Wonderland ran 28 full-house performances, giving a total audience number of 8400.

The first-year Acting School students went on extensive tours in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France, participating in workshops with fellow theatre students as well as performing their play Sho Kman (What Else).

The third-year Acting School students toured the US, meeting acting students, participating in workshops and performing their play While Waiting, inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot.

The first group of students to the Acting School graduated after having successfully completed three years of study. Some of them have since taken on new roles as actors and instructors at The Freedom Theatre, passing on skills, knowledge and inspiration to others in the community.

A new workshop venue was set up in Jenin city to facilitate the activities of the Acting School. As the original plan to open a new theatre was not realised in 2011, this venue provides the extra space needed while the construction of a theatre in the city is re-evaluated.

An extensive Community Outreach Programme was initiated that will run for 18 months, consisting of Playback T heatre, Drama for Conflict T ransformation and T rauma Response.

THE FREEDOM THEATRE

A Street T heatre project was initiated in cooperation with Centro de Criação para o Teatro e Artes de Rua, Portugal, with the aim of bringing theatre into the streets and involving the residents in the process of creating and performing a production. The production will be performed in Jenin and in Guimarães, Portugal, the European Cultural Capital 2012, during the summer of 2012.

The Creative Writing course was relaunched, providing an opportunity for young members of the community to receive training in a variety of issues related to journalism and creative writing, composition, poetry, essays and short stories.

The Photography course was relaunched, providing an opportunity for young women and men to gain basic skills in photography while learning to use the camera as a tool for communication and storytelling.

T wo new Drama groups were formed, consisting of youth from the refugee camp who received training in various aspects of drama and theatre. These groups were led by former students of the Acting School who have progressed to become trainee instructors.

A programme of weekly screenings of children’s films was relaunched, providing entertainment and relief for children of the refugee camp.

Theatre Programme The theatre programme contains a range of activities that introduce particularly the young generation to theatre and drama, while simultaneously building up long-term capacity by developing a cadre of theatre professionals, actors and drama instructors.

Acting School Total participants: 12

By participating in the Acting School, a threeyear educational programme, students have the opportunity to develop professional careers in theatre, as practitioners or teachers. At the same time, the programme encourages students to engage in their communities using theatre as a tool for social change.

In 2011, the first class of students, who began their studies in 2008, successfully completed the required set of courses. The second class, due to graduate in 2013, completed their first year.

Waiting (an adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot). Working on these productions provided an opportunity for students to engage in the whole production process, in addition to providing an entertaining and thought-provoking experience for community members. Some of these were also performed abroad.

Performances

The Freedom Theatre hosted performances in its theatre hall, exposing community members to entertaining and at times thought-provoking experiences. Some performances were followed by a guided discussion, providing an opportunity for critical analysis and reflection.

Playback Theatre

Drama Workshops

Playback Theatre is an interactive theatre approach used in over fifty countries as a tool for community building, dialogue and trauma recovery. In a Playback Theatre performance, audience members share thoughts, feelings, memories and personal accounts and then watch as a team of actors and musicians transform these experiences into improvised theatre pieces. In addition to working with various groups in Jenin Refugee Camp, Jenin city, and surrounding villages this project has visited Bedouin communities in the Jerusalem and Hebron area.

Throughout the year various drama workshops were carried out exposing children and youth to the playful and healing aspects of theatre. The Freedom Theatre employed students from our graduating class to facilitate these workshops, enabling them to put theory into practice while gaining experience as instructors.

In 2011, The Freedom Theatre also held drama workshops with female prisoners in cooperation with the Palestinian Counseling Center in Jenin.

Through this project The Freedom Theatre teaches basic drama therapy and psychodrama methods in addition to building capacity in psychodrama and trauma response for social workers, psychologists, child care workers and other mental health professionals in Jenin Refugee Camp and surrounding villages.

multimedia Programme Through wide-ranging activities within the field of multimedia, The Freedom Theatre aims to encourage the young generation of Jenin to explore new forms of creative self-expression through film, photography and creative writing. More intensive training is also offered to trainees who develop skills in teaching, thereby instilling in the participants a strong sense of empowerment and responsibility towards their communities.

Filmmaking

In 2011, The Freedom Theatre’s resident filmmakers continued to document the theatre’s work while improving upon the quantity and quality of productions through the use of training and capacity building activities. Additionally, workshops in filmmaking were offered to community members, providing them with tools to tell stories through lense. These short films are available on The Freedom Theatre’s YouTube channel.

In the photography course participants gain theoretical and practical skills in using a still camera with an emphasis on photography as a means of

visual storytelling. During 2011, a photography book called Captured, consisting of a journey through the West Bank through photos from Jenin, Nablus, Bil’in, Bethlehem, Hebron and the Jordan Valley, was published and distributed widely.

Creative Writing Total participants: 11

Through this course participants receive training on a variety of themes related to journalism and creative writing, while deepening their awareness of national and international authors. The participants will contribute articles, feature stories, poems and other texts to the magazine Voices, when it is re-launched in 2012. Voices will be made available on the youth website www.voices.ps

Other Activities Dabke

Palestinian folklore is a treasure that is important to preserve. Dabke is a type of folk dance performed mainly at weddings and other special occasions. One groups of girls and one group of boys participated in dabke training at The Freedom Theatre, in cooperation with the Girls’ Rehabilitation Center in Jenin. The participants learned traditional moves combined with modern influences, incorporating elements of storytelling and drama into the dance.

Capacity Building

As a community-based organisation, The Freedom Theatre is committed to providing further training for its staff members so as to build long-term capacity and sustainability. In addition to the on-the-job training that was an integral part of our work throughout the year, several members of The Freedom Theatre 2011 ANNUAL REPORT

travelled abroad to participate in theatre management training, filmmaking and graphic design training, cultural exchanges, courses and events.

Hosting Visitors

During 2011, The Freedom Theatre received over 5000 guests who came to see the theatre, meet with students, staff and volunteers, and participate in some of our activities. The theatre facilitated overnight stays for visitors who wished to stay with families in Jenin Refugee Camp. Among the guests were journalists, representatives of foreign offices and international agencies, parliamentarians, artists, activists and other individuals from all over the world.

Excerpt from the playback performance “Midnight Raid”, December 2011 Midway through the show, Loai Tafesh raises his hand. “I have a story.” He takes the stage, sitting in the Teller’s chair beside Ben. “Not everything about the prisons is happy,” he says. We laugh a little. Until now, the stories had been colored with hope and resistance and joy.

But Loai’s story is different. “The way they interrogate you, and bother your mind—this can be difficult.”

When Loai was first imprisoned, he spent a week in solitary confinement.

“But it was strange. They fed me amazing meals, and gave me a pack of cigarettes everyday. My room was very nice.”

The bizarre luxury ended when interrogation began.

“After the first week an official took me into a room with a table. Said they were keeping me in order that I apologize. I said, ‘apologize for what?’

And they said, ‘apologize for making us enter your home yesterday and martyr your sister, your mother and your father.’”

Loai couldn’t be sure if he was telling the truth.

“But then he showed pictures.”

The Israeli official threw photos onto the table before Loai—photos of dead women, their faces and bodies covered by Palestinian flags. “’This is your mother,’ he said. ‘Your sister! Look!

Look to the photos.’”

Loai looked at the photos. He didn’t know what to think.

THE FREEDOM THEATRE

“It wasn’t until six months later, when I saw my mother in court, that I learned it was a lie.”

“Normally I wouldn’t tell this story for a bunch of actors to perform,” Loai says. “Because it’s a serious story. It was very sad. But, I am here, so I figured I would share.”

The improvisation continues. Faisal, as the Israeli officer, presents Rokh with three shimmering lengths of fabric. The photos.

“Look! Look!” demands Faisal. Rokh winds them up. “It’s not true,” he mutters. The colors gleam in the stage light. He holds them to his heart.

“Thank you, Loai.” Ben takes the microphone and turns to the actors. “Loai’s story: khaleena enshouf.”

Loai cries, discreet, at the edge of the stage. The enactment finishes and the audience erupts.

Faisal Abu-Alheja and Ahhmad Al-Rokh, both graduates of The Freedom Theatre’s Acting School, take the stage. They breathe together, absorbing Loai’s story, and launch into improvisation.

Later, Loai tells Faisal how moved he felt. “You must have rehearsed it before,” he says.

The oud shudders. Rokh takes a few solemn steps downstage and sinks onto his knees. Faisal steps behind him and forces his head down, oppression made manifest.

My eyes dart to Loai. He is rapt.

“How could we?” Faisal smiles. “We heard your story for the first time today.”

Two more stories follow Loai’s before the performance ends. By the final story, most of the audience has migrated to the front rows, crowding as close as possible to the stage and leaning in to hear the Teller.

During the past year, The Freedom Theatre regularly updated the main website (www.thefreedomtheatre.org) and initiated a process of renewing it, which will be completed in the coming year. The Acting School website (www.actingschool.ps) and the youth website Voices (www.voices.ps) were updated and given a new appearance.

E-news

Throughout 2011, The Freedom Theatre continued sending out a quarterly newsletter to supporters and friends. The newsletters were complemented with regular e-mail updates, invitations to events and performances, and press releases.

The Freedom Theatre intensified the use of various social media outlets during the year, mainly Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and a new blog.

A wide range of international and local print, radio, web and television media reported on The Freedom Theatre’s events and activities throughout the year.

The list of media coverage would be far too long to mention here but includes over 50 different national and international papers and media channels.

productions Alice in Wonderland

In The Freedom Theatre’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, the original characters were adapted to the local context, providing a thought-provoking journey into Palestinian society. Escaping a world of poverty, oppression, and conservatism Alice entered a world filled with imaginary and at times strange characters that reflected and challenged her previous life experiences. Through these encounters Alice was provided the opportunity to reflect upon her own identity while questioning what she considered “right” and “wrong”, “normal” and “abnormal”.

While Waiting

While Waiting served as an allegory to the relationship between the students of The Freedom Theatre and their deceased friend, teacher, and mentor – Juliano Mer Khamis. The play itself was an act of fidelity and a search for healing within a meaningless and 26

tragic loss. An adaptation of the original play Waiting for Godot, written by Samuel Beckett, While Waiting equally abandoned the idea of a traditional plot with characters engaging in ways that seemed meaningless and futile, represented by what appeared to be mindless repetition and meaningless actions as a metaphor to modern life.

Sho Kman

A play encapsulating how the young people of Palestine see the world around them, this production explored the internalization of the Israeli occupation and its effect on friendships, families and society. The piece took audience members through the contradictions, circumstances and rhythms of life using movement and sound, that forced young Palestinians to ask: Who am I?

looking ahead to 2012 A new group of Acting School students will be recruited.

The Freedom Theatre has worked hard to reach into the schools in Jenin Refugee camp to conduct drama workshops as part of the school curriculum.

A first step towards this aim will be taken during 2012, when we initiate collaboration with the schools providing drama training for students with learning difficulties.

A Stand-up Comedy show will be developed and performed all over the West Bank by one of our talented actors, Rabea Torkman.

A Street T heatre performance will be produced and staged in Jenin and Guimarães, the European Cultural Capital 2012. This performance will tour several cities in the West Bank in 2012 with plans for a Street Arts 28

Festival in Jenin during spring 2013.

Another upcoming production is the Freedom Bus, a nine-day playback theatre event that will take place in late September 2012. An ensemble of Palestinian actors and musicians will travel to key sites of oppression and resistance within the West Bank, listening to and enacting the experiences of community members.

Playback Theatre will also be used to enact stories from the Arab Spring and connect with youth in Gaza and potentially tour in several countries around the Middle East.

In the coming year we will increase the capacity of the filmmaking training and run an intensive professional training programme as well as evening workshops.

THE FREEDOM THEATRE

Two photography courses will be given, resulting in a digital photo exhibition as well as the publication of a photography book.

In 2012, we plan to launch a series of seminars and talkbacks, dealing with social, cultural and political issues of relevance in the community.

A local news bulletin, the only printed news outlet for the area of Jenin, will be published as a pilot project in mid 2012 as a way for The Freedom Theatre to be able to reach out with its message to a larger audience.

One or more of our new productions as well as the performance While Waiting will go on tour to Finland and possibly other countries. The Freedom Theatre will present its work in Germany, Portugal, Sweden and the United States.

Members of The Freedom Theatre will participate in other national and international presentations, conferences, and trainings.

The Creative Writing workshops will continue and the youth magazine Voices will be relaunched. The magazine will be distributed in the community and online through the youth website www.voices.ps The Freedom Theatre’s website will be renewed and our other social media outlets will be upgraded and integrated.

‫نطمح الى‬ ‫فيما يلي بعض االضاءات بما سيحدث بـ ‪2012‬‬ ‫م���ج���م���وع���ة ج������دي������دة م������ن ط���ل���اب م����درس����ة‬ ‫ال��ت��م��ث��ي��ل س��ي��ت��م ت��وظ��ي��ف��ه��م ف���ي م���س���رح ال��ح��ري��ة‪.‬‬ ‫عمل مسرح الحرية جاهدا ليصل الى م��دارس مخيمات‬ ‫الالجئين لعمل ورشات دراما كجزء من المنهاج المدرسي‪.‬‬ ‫ستكون الخطوة األولى باتجاه هذا الهدف في ‪ 2012‬بمبادرة‬ ‫تعاون مع المدارس لتوفير تعليم الدراما للطالب الذين لديهم‬ ‫صعوبات في التعلم‪.‬‬

‫في الضفة الغربية في العام ‪ 2012‬فقد خططنا له باالستمرار‬ ‫ولينتج عنه مهرجان فني في الشارع خالل ربيع ‪.2013‬‬ ‫انتاج اخر سيكون باص الحرية‪ ،‬تسعة أيام من مسرح‬ ‫اعادة التمثيل وسيتم عرضه في اخر أيلول من عام ‪.2012‬‬ ‫وسيسافر مجموعة من الممثلين الفلسطينيين والموسيقيين الى‬ ‫مواقع االضطهاد والمقاومة ضمن أراضي الضفة الغربية‬ ‫واالستماع لتجاربهم وتمثيلها ألفراد المجتمع‪.‬‬

‫سيستعمل مسرح اعادة التمثيل لتمثيل قصص من الربيع‬ ‫سيتم انجاز وأداء عروض كوميدية ارتجالية في كل الضفة العربي وللربط بين الشباب في غزة ورحالت محتملة‬ ‫الغربية بواسطة أحد ممثلينا الموهوبين ربيع تركمان‪.‬‬

‫لدول متعددة حول الشرق األوسط‪.‬‬

‫سيتم انتاج وعرض مسرح الشارع في غويماراج عاصمة في السنة المقبلة سنزيد قدرتنا االنتاجية في التدريب على‬ ‫الثقافة االوروبية لعام ‪ . 2012‬سينتقل هذا العرض الى عدة مدن صناعة األفالم وادارة مشروع مكثف مختص وورشات‬ ‫عمل مسائية‪.‬‬

‫في هذه المسرحية المقتبسة عن المسرحية األصلية أليس في‬ ‫بالد العجائب تعد الشخصيات الرئيسية نصا َ من واقع المجتمع‬ ‫الفلسطيني‪ .‬وهنا تهرب أليس من عالم مليء بالفقر واالضطهاد‬ ‫وعاداته القديمة البالية‪ ،‬لتدخل عالم مليء بالخيال‪ ،‬والشخصيات‬ ‫الغريبة التي تعكس وتتحدى تجاربها السابقة في الحياة‪ .‬وخالل‬ ‫هذه األحداث تمنح أليس فرصه لتعكس هويتها الخاصة فيما هي‬ ‫تتساءل عما تعتبره “صحيح” و “ خاطئ”‪ ،‬و” عادي” و” غير‬ ‫عادي”‪.‬‬

‫تجسد المسرحية نظره الشباب الفلسطيني للعالم من حولهم‪.‬‬ ‫وكشف هذا العمل عن تأثير تدخل االحتالل اإلسرائيلي على‬ ‫الصداقة والعائالت والمجتمع‪ .‬وتجعل هذه المسرحية أفراد‬ ‫الجمهور يدخلون في تناقضات وظروف حياتية مستعملة‬ ‫األصوات والحركات وتدفع الشباب الفلسطينيين يتسألون‪:‬‬ ‫من أنا؟‬

‫خالل االنتظار‬ ‫قدمت مسرحية خالل االنتظار كحكاية رمزية للعالقة بين‬ ‫الطالب في مسرح الحرية و فقيدهم ومعلمهم ومرشدهم “جوليانو‬ ‫مير خميس”‪ .‬إن المسرحية بحد ذاتها محاولة لتجسيد اإلخالص‬ ‫والبحث عن عالج للفقدان‪ .‬إن هذه المسرحية المقتبسة من قصة‬ ‫في انتظار غودو للكاتب صموئيل باكيت‪ ،‬تترك الحبكة التقليدية‬ ‫عن طريق الهاء الشخصيات بطريقة ال معنى لها وبال جدوى‬ ‫على ح ِد سواء‪ .‬تتمثل بأحداث متكررة ال معنى لها كتقليد‬ ‫للحياة العصرية‪.‬‬ ‫التقرير السنوي لعام ‪2011‬‬

‫قال لؤي‪ :‬في العادة أنا ال أخبر هذه القصة لمجموعة من الممثلين‬ ‫لتمثيلها‪ ،‬وألنها قصة جدية ومحزنة جدا فلهاذا أنا هنا ألمثل‬ ‫وأشارك‪.‬‬ ‫يأخذ بن الميكروفون ويلتفت للمثلين‪“ :‬شكرا يا لؤي”‬ ‫فيصل أبو الهيجا وأحمد الرخ كالهما تخرج من مدرسة التمثيل‬ ‫التابعة لمسرح الحرية‪ ،‬صعدا الى المنصة وقررا ارتجال القصة‬ ‫بعد فهمها واستيعابها‪.‬‬ ‫يعزف العود ألحانه‪ .‬ينزل الرخ عن المسرح بخطوات رصينة‬ ‫ويجثو على ركبتيه‪ .‬يدنو منه فيصل ويطأطأ رأسه ظاهرا عليه‬ ‫القمع واالضطهاد‪.‬‬ ‫انطلقت عيناي كالسهم نحو لؤي‬

‫ثالث قطع قماش المعه وصور‪.‬‬ ‫يطلب فيصل من الرخ‪“ :‬انظر انظر” يرمي بها الرخ عاليا‪:‬‬ ‫ويتمتم “انها ليست حقيقية”‪ ،‬ولمعت األضواء في المسرح‪.‬‬ ‫وعند حافة المسرح يقف لؤي محاوال اخفاء دموعه‬ ‫بعد ذلك يخبر لؤي فيصل كم أثر به ذلك “ال بد أنك تدربت عليها‬ ‫من قبل”‪.‬‬ ‫يبتسم فيصل مجيبا “كيف لنا ذلك” لقد سمعنا بقصتك وللمرة‬ ‫األولى اليوم‪.‬‬ ‫وتبعتها قصتين متتاليتين وانتهى أداء لؤي‪ ،‬ومع نهاية القصة‬ ‫األخيرة كان قد تقدم أكثرية الجمهور للصفوف األمامية محتشدين‬ ‫بأقرب ما يمكن من المسرح لالستماع للراوي‪.‬‬

‫واستمر االرتجال‪ ،‬فيصل هو الضابط االسرائيلي‪،‬ويظهر الرخ‬

‫“غارة منتصف الليل” في جنين في كانون األول من عام ‪2011‬‬

‫وعندما بدأ االستجواب انتهت كل هذه الرفاهية الغريبة‪.‬‬

‫في المنتصف وخالل العرض‪ ،‬يرفع لؤي طافش يديه “انا عندي‬ ‫قصة” ويصعد الى المنصة ويجلس على كرسي الراوي بجانب‬ ‫بن‪.‬‬

‫بعد األسبوع األول أخذني ضابط الى داخل غرفة فيها طاولة‪،‬‬ ‫وقال لي‪ :‬لقد طلبوا مني احتجازك هنا لجعلك تعتذر منا‪ .‬قلت‪:‬‬ ‫اعتذر عن ماذا؟ تعتذر عن جعلنا ندخل منزلك وقتل أختك‬ ‫ووالدتك ووالدك لم يستطع لؤي التأكد بأنهم يقولون الحقيقة‪،‬‬ ‫ولكنه أظهر صورا فيما بعد‪.‬‬

‫يقول ل��ؤي‪“ :‬ليس كل مايحدث داخ��ل السجون يعد جيدا‪،‬‬ ‫ضحكنا قليال‪ ،‬حتى األن كل القصص قد تلونت باألمل‬ ‫والمقاومة والمرح”‪.‬‬ ‫ولكن قصة ل��ؤي مختلفة “الطريقة التي يستجوبونك بها‬ ‫ويحاصرون فيها عقلك قد تكون صعبه”‪.‬‬ ‫عندما سجن لؤي ألول مرة‪ ،‬قضى أسبوعا في السجن االنفرادي‪.‬‬ ‫“ولكنه كان غريبا فقد أطعموني وجبات مميزة وأعطوني علبة‬ ‫سجائر يوميا‪ ،‬كانت غرفتي رائعة”‪.‬‬

‫القى الجندي االسرائيلي الصور على الطاولة أمام لؤي صورا‬ ‫لنساء أموات وقد تغطت وجوههن وأجسادهن بالعلم الفلسطيني‬ ‫وقال‪" :‬هذه هي والدتك وأختك‪ ،‬انظر انظر الى الصورة"‪.‬‬ ‫نظر لؤي الى الصورة‪ ،‬لم يعرف بماذا يفكر؟‬ ‫لقد رأيت والدتي منذ ستة أشهر في المحكمة لذلك علمت‬ ‫أنها كذبة‪.‬‬

‫مسرح الحرية‬

‫واش��راك المقيمين في مخيم جنين والمدينة في عملية األداء‬ ‫واالبداع واالنتاج‪ .‬الذي سيتم عرضه في جنين و في البرتغال‬ ‫في مدينة غويماراج عاصمة الثقافة األوروبية في عام‬ ‫‪ 2012‬خالل الصيف‪.‬‬ ‫تم اع��ادة اط�لاق دورة الكتابة االبداعية لتوفير فرص‬ ‫للشباب ليطلعوا على األسس واألساليب في الكتابة الصحفية‪،‬‬ ‫الكتابة االبداعية‪ ،‬تأليف المقاالت‪ ،‬القصائد‪ ،‬القطع األدبية‬ ‫والقصص القصيرة‪.‬‬ ‫تم اعادة اطالق دورة التصوير الفوتوغرافي لتوفير فرص‬ ‫للشباب والشابات الكتشاف مهارات أساسية في التصوير من‬ ‫خالل تعليمهم استخدام الة التصوير كطريقة لالتصال والتواصل‬

‫وسرد القصص‪.‬‬ ‫تم تشكيل مجموعتين للدراما تتكون من شباب من المخيم‬ ‫والذين تلقوا تدريبا في عدة مواضيع للدراما والمسرح‪ .‬تم ارشاد‬ ‫هذه المجموعات من قبل طالب سابقين في مدرسة التمثيل‬ ‫والذين أبدوا مهارات فائقه خالل تعليمهم وأصبحوا مدربين‬ ‫للمجموعات الجديدة‪.‬‬ ‫تم اطالق برنامج أسبوعي لعرض أفالم األطفال يوفر‬ ‫الترفيه ألطفال المخيم‪.‬‬

‫االنجازات الرئيسية‪2011‬‬ ‫أهم انجازاتنا في ‪ 2011‬هو ابقاء أبواب المسرح مفتوحة في أسوا‬ ‫الظروف‪ ،‬وفيما يلي ملخص مختصر النجازاتنا األخرى خالل‬ ‫هذه السنة‪:‬‬

‫تخرجت المجموعة األولى من مدرسة التمثيل بعدما أكملت‬ ‫وبنجاح ‪ 3‬سنوات من الدراسة‪ ،‬بعضهم أخذوا أدوارا جديدة‬ ‫كممثلين ومدربين في مسرح الحرية‪.‬‬

‫االنتاج المحلي أليس في بالد العجائب الذي عرض ‪28‬‬ ‫مرة بحضور كامل وصل الى ‪ 8400‬متفرج‪.‬‬

‫عقدت ورشة عمل في مدينة جنين لتسهيل الفعاليات في‬ ‫مدرسة التمثيل‪ .‬كان هناك مخطط الفتتاح مسرح جديد في مدينة‬ ‫جنين حيث من المفترض أن يوفر مساحة اضافية من أجل اقامة‬ ‫مسرح في مدينة جنين‪.‬‬

‫قام طالب السنة األولى لمدرسة التمثيل بجولة مكثفة في المانيا‬ ‫وسويسرا وفرنسا للمشاركة في ورشات عمل مع طالب‬ ‫مسارح أخرى‪ ،‬كما وعرضوا مسرحيتهم شو كمان‪.‬‬ ‫قام طالب السنة الثالثة في جولة الى أمريكا وقابلوا طالب‬ ‫التمثيل وش��ارك��وا في ورش��ات عمل وعرضوا مسرحيتهم‬ ‫خ�لال االنتظار‪ .‬المستلهمة م��ن قصة صموئيل باكيت‬

‫في انتظار غودو‪.‬‬

‫تمت المبادرة لبرنامج التواصل المجتمعي ليكون العمل به‬ ‫خالل سنة ونصف ويتضمن مسرح اعادة التمثيل‪ ،‬دراما‬ ‫الصراع‪ ،‬التغيير وبرنامج االستجابة للصدمات‪.‬‬ ‫تمت اطالق المبادرة لمشروع مسرح الشارع بالتعاون مع‬ ‫المسرح البرتغالي الذي يهدف الى احضار المسرح الى الشارع‬

‫نشاطات أخرى‬ ‫الدبكة‬

‫استضافة الزوار‬

‫الفلكلور الفلسطيني هو كنز من المهم أن نحافظ عليه‪ .‬والدبكة‬ ‫هي نوع من الرقص الشعبي يؤدى بشكل أساسي في األعراس‬ ‫وبعض المناسبات األخرى‪ .‬مجموعة من البنات ومجموعة من‬ ‫األوالد يشتركون في التدريب على الدبكة وبالتعاون مع مركز‬ ‫التأهيل النسوي في جنين‪.‬‬

‫خالل العام ‪ 2011‬استقبل مسرح الحرية أكثر من ‪ 5‬االف ضيف‬ ‫الذين قدموا لرؤية المسرح وللقاء الطالب والطاقم والمتطوعين‬ ‫وليشاركوا في بعض نشاطاتنا‪ .‬ولقد وفر المسرح مبيتا للزوار‬ ‫الذين فضلوا المكوث مع عائالت الطالب في مخيم جنين ومن‬ ‫بين الضيوف كان هناك صحفيون وممثلون عن وزارات‬ ‫الخارجية والوكاالت الدولية وأعضاء برلمان وفنانين ونشطاء‬ ‫وأفراد اخرين من جميع أنحاء العالم‪.‬‬

‫بناء القدرات‬ ‫كمؤسسة تقوم على العمل المجتمعي يدرب مسرح الحرية‬ ‫أعضاء طاقمه على بناء قدرات مستدامة وتطوير االمكانيات‬ ‫المهنية‪ ،‬ألف��راده ولهذا الغرض سافر العديد من أفراد طاقم‬ ‫مسرح الحرية الى الخارج ليشاركوا في التدريب على ادارة‬ ‫المسرح‪ ،‬صناعة االفالم‪ ،‬التصميم الجرافيكي والتبادل الثقافي‪.‬‬ ‫حيث قام عدنان نغنغية مدير المسرح بدراسة مساق في ادارة‬ ‫المسرح لمدة شهر ونصف في برلين‪.‬‬ ‫‪16‬‬

‫مسرح اعادة التمثيل (البالي باك) هو مسرح تفاعلي يتم عرضة‬ ‫في أكثر من ‪ 50‬دولة كأداة لبناء المجتمع والحوار‪ ،‬والمعالجة من‬ ‫الصدمات‪ .‬يشارك أفراد الجمهور التجارب واألفكار والمشاعر‬ ‫والذكريات ومحاسبة ال��ذات‪ ،‬ومن ثم يشاهدوا مجموعة من‬ ‫الممثلين والموسيقيين الذين يقومون بتحويل هذه التجارب الى‬ ‫قطع مسرحية مرتجلة‪ .‬باالضافة الى العمل مع عدة مجموعات‬ ‫في مخيم جنين والمدينة والقرى المجاورة‪ ،‬زار هذا المشروع‬ ‫المجتمعات البدوية في منطقتي القدس والخليل‪.‬‬

‫نفذت العديد من دورات الدراما خالل هذه السنة لألطفال‬ ‫والشباب من خالل نواحي العالج واأللعاب المسرحية‪.‬‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫وظف مسرح الحرية طالب من صفوف مدرسة التمثيل لتسهيل‬ ‫اكتسابهم خبرات عملية بعد اكتسابهم النظريات في فنون المسرح‬ ‫ولتأهيلهم لوضع نظريات في عملهم واكتساب الخبرة كمدربين‪.‬‬ ‫في العام ‪ 2011‬أقام مسرح الحرية أيضا دورات للنساء السجينات‬ ‫بالتعاون مع المركز االستشاري الفلسطيني في جنين‪.‬‬

‫الرحالت‬ ‫في ‪ 2011‬سافر طالب مدرسة التمثيل الى فرنسا‪ ،‬المانيا‪ ،‬النمسا‪،‬‬ ‫سويسرا والواليات المتحدة وعرضوا مسرحياتهم لعدد كبير من‬ ‫المشاهدين واشتركوا مع طالب وفنانين محليين‪.‬‬

‫قام مسرح الحرية بتعليم مبادئ العالج بالدراما وأساليب الدراما‬ ‫النفسية ومن خالل هذا المشروع اضافة الى بناء قدرات الدراما‬ ‫النفسية وبرنامج االستجابة للصدمات لعاملي الخدمة االجتماعية‬ ‫واالخصائيين النفسيين‪ ،‬وغيرهم من االخصائيين في الصحة‬ ‫العقلية في مخيم جنين لالجئين والقرى المحيطة‪.‬‬ ‫التقرير السنوي لعام ‪2011‬‬

‫برنامج الوسائط المتعددة‬

‫من خالل النشاطات المتنوعة في قطاع الوسائط المتعددة‪ ،‬يهدف مسرح الحرية الى تحفيز جيل‬ ‫الشباب في جنين الى اكتشاف أنماط جديدة من التعبير عن الذات االبداعية من خالل األفالم‬ ‫والتصوير الفوتوغرافي والكتابة االبداعية‪ .‬كما قدم أيضا الكثير من التدريب للمتدربين الذين‬ ‫طوروا مهاراتهم في التعليم وطبقوا التدريب باحساس قوي ومسؤولية عالية تجاه مجتمعهم‪.‬‬

‫صناع االفالم‬ ‫اجمالي المشاركه‪8 :‬‬

‫في العام ‪ 2011‬استمر صانعي األفالم المقيمون في مسرح الحرية‬ ‫بتوثيق العمل المسرحي من خالل تطويرهم الفني والنوعي‬ ‫لالنتاج ومن خالل التجريب والقدرة في بناء النشاطات‪ .‬اضافة‬ ‫لذلك قدمت ورشات عمل في صناعة األفالم ألفراد المجتمع‬ ‫ووفرت لهم األدوات لرواية القصص من خالل عدسة التصوير‪.‬‬ ‫األفالم القصيرة متوفرة على قناة اليوتيوب الخاصة بمسرح الحرية‪.‬‬

‫التصوير الفوتوغرافي‬ ‫اجمالي المشاركه‪19:‬‬

‫من خالل التصوير الفوتوغرافي اكتسب المشاركين مهارات‬ ‫نظرية وتطبيقية في استخدام الة التصوير الثابتة مع التاكيد على‬ ‫التصوير الفوتوغرافي كوسيلة لرواية القصص المرئية‪.‬‬ ‫خالل العام ‪ 2011‬أصدر كتابا سمي بـ"لقطات" احتوى على رحلة‬ ‫في أنحاء الضفة الغربية وأظهر صورا من جنين ونابلس وبلعين‬ ‫وبيت لحم والخليل ووادي األردن‪ ،‬وتم توزيعه بشكل كبير‪.‬‬ ‫‪14‬‬

‫الكتابة اإلبداعية‬ ‫اجمالي المشاركه‪11 :‬‬

‫تلقى المشاركين في هذه الدورة عدة أدوات ومساقات تتعلق‬ ‫في الكتابة الصحفية والكتابة االبداعية من خالل قراءات معمقة‬ ‫لكتاب محليين وعالميين‪ .‬الطالب المشاركون يقومون بكتابة‬ ‫النصوص المختلفة مثل القصص القصيرة والقصائد والمقاالت‬ ‫والتي يتم نشرها من على صفحات مجلة أصوات التي تم اطالقها‬ ‫من جديد في عام ‪ .2012‬تتوفر مجلة أص��وات على الموقع‬ ‫االلكتروني‪:‬‬ ‫‪www.voices.ps‬‬

‫حصل الطالب على فرصة للتطوير المهني للعمل في المسرح‬ ‫من خالل المشاركة في مدرسة التمثيل‪ ،‬برنامج تدريبي لثالثة‬ ‫سنوات كمشاركين أو كمعلمين‪ .‬وفي نفس الوقت البرنامج يحفز‬ ‫التالميذ على المشاركة في مجتمعاتهم باستخدام المسرح كأداة‬ ‫لتغيير المجتمع‪ .‬في ‪ 2011‬أتم طالب الصف األول متطلباتهم‬ ‫بنجاح والذين استهلوا دراستهم في ‪ .2008‬ومن المتوقع‬ ‫تخرج الصف الثاني في ‪.2013‬‬

‫خالل العام ‪ 2012‬نفذ طالب مدرسة التمثيل ثالثة انتاجات فائقة‬ ‫الجودة وهي‪ :‬اليس في بالد العجائب‪ ،‬شو كمان‪ ،‬خالل االتنظار‬ ‫المقتبسة عن مسرحية صموئيل باكيت في انتظار غودو‪ .‬وفر‬ ‫العمل في هذه المسرحيات فرصة للتالميذ لالندماج الكامل‬ ‫التقرير السنوي لعام ‪2011‬‬

‫قلب هرم القوى رأسا‬ ‫على عقب‬ ‫إن قلب هرم القوى رأسا على عقب هو أساس العمل لمسرح‬ ‫الحرية‪ .‬نعمل ذلك لتحدي عناصر القمع في المجتمع من خالل‬ ‫إعطاء بدائل واقعية وتحدي التسلسل الهرمي في نظام القوى‬ ‫وصانعي القرار‪ .‬اتجه المجتمع المحلي للمحافظة على العادات‬ ‫بشكل متزايد مما أثر على الفتيات والنساء بشكل قاسي‪ .‬مسرح‬ ‫الحرية ركز على إشراك الفتيات والنساء في كل نشاطاته بشكل‬ ‫كبير واستقطب النساء في مناصب كانت تناط بالرجال تقليديا‪.‬‬ ‫لقد ازدادت مشاركة النساء بشكل كبير في السنوات الحالية‪.‬‬ ‫غالبية المشاركات في نشاطاتنا كانت من النساء والفتيات من‬ ‫مخيم جنين لالجئين ومدينة جنين والمناطق المجاورة‪ .‬وفيما نحن‬ ‫نكرس جهودنا لزيادة مشاركة المرأة فان التركيز األساسي على‬ ‫المساواة بين الجنسين وجعل تجاربهم ومعارفهم واهتماماتهم‬ ‫تبصر النور‪.‬‬

‫التشجيع على حرية‬ ‫التعبير‬ ‫بالرغم من شموليته لمواضيع واسعة فان الفكرة العامة لنشاطات‬ ‫مسرح الحرية التركيز على التفكير النقدي والتعددية‪ .‬ان‬ ‫األطفال والشباب معرضون لتنوع األراء ويتم تشجيعهم على‬ ‫التعبير والنقاش بشكل حر بدون ضغوطات المجتمع‪ .‬ينتج‬ ‫المشاركون موادهم من المواضيع التي ال يتم مناقشتها ولكن‬ ‫ّ‬ ‫تطور بشكل طبيعي كنتيجة لتجاربهم أو مشاركاتهم الشخصية‪.‬‬ ‫وهذا يمنح مجاال واسعا للكثير من القضايا لكي تناقش في‬ ‫المجتمع المحيط والعالم‪.‬‬

‫الثقافة كمقاومة‬

‫على الرغم من أن مسرح الحرية يركز على المسرح والفن‬ ‫المرئي‪ ،‬نحن ال نتخذ موقفا حياديا من قضية التفرقة العنصرية‬ ‫واالحتالل واالستيطان والقوانين العسكرية االسرائيلية‪ ،‬وال‬ ‫نغض الطرف عن انتهاك حقوق االنسان بشكل عام وال حقوق‬ ‫المرأة واألطفال بشكل خاص‪ .‬أما بالنسبة لالضطهاد فان الفن‬ ‫عنده دائما أداة فعالة ضده‪ .‬بالنسبة للشعب الفلسطيني‪ ،‬فان التعبير‬ ‫الفني هو جزء ال يتجزأ من كفاحهم من أجل الحرية والمساواه‬ ‫والعدالة‪ .‬يعمل مسرح الحرية في مخيم جنين لالجئين شمالي‬ ‫الضفة الغربية في منطقة تعرضت وبشدة لعقود من االحتالل‬ ‫االسرائيلي والصراع الداخلي والعزلة الواسعة ثقافيا واقتصاديا‬ ‫وسياسيا‪ .‬هذا الشعور بالعزلة يجري بعمق في المخيم ويؤثر‬ ‫على األجيال الشابة‪.‬‬

‫يقوم مسرح الحرية باشغال دور مهم في تقوية الشعور باألمل‬ ‫بواسطة المساهمة في اغناء الحياة الثقافية‪ .‬بما أن مسرح الحرية‬ ‫فتح أبوابه في العام ‪ ،2006‬فان الثقافة والفنون اعيدت لمركز‬ ‫اهتمام المجتمع‪ .‬اكثر من ‪ 100‬الف فنان موهوب‪ ،‬مشاهدين‬ ‫‪ ،‬زوار وأصدقاء ج��اؤوا الى المسرح لينضموا أو يؤدوا‪،‬‬ ‫يبدعوا ويتفوقوا‪ .‬ان صناعة الجودة هي الغاية العليا‪ ،‬حيث‬ ‫قدم المسرح عدة عروض مسرحية عملية وأصدر العديد من‬ ‫الكتب ومعارض الصور واألفالم القصيرة وزادت وبمقدار‬ ‫كبير قدرة الفنانين المحليين كما وتطورت شبكة عمل واسعة‬ ‫من الشركاء والداعمين في فلسطين المحتلة والعالم‪.‬‬

‫رسالتنا‬

‫مسرح الحرية يقوم ببناء كادر من الممثلين المحليين النابضين بالحياة ومبدعين في شمالي الضفة‬ ‫الغربية ومن خالل تأكيده على المهنية والتجديد فان هدف المسرح تمكين الشبان والنساء في‬ ‫المجتمع واكتشاف االمكانيات الفنيه لديهم كدافع مهم للتغيير المجتمعي‪.‬‬

‫يهدف مسرح الحرية من خالل عمله الى‬ ‫‪ n‬رفع جودة األداء والفن المرئي في شمالي الضفة الغربية‪.‬‬ ‫‪ n‬اعطاء مساحة بحيث يستطيع األطفال والشباب التمثيل واالبداع والتعبير عن أنفسهم بحرية‬ ‫ومساواة‪ .‬تخيل واقع جديد يتحدى الواقع االجتماعي الموجود والحواجز الثقافية‪.‬‬ ‫‪ n‬تمكين األجيال الشابة من استخدام الفن لالرتقاء بالتغيير االيجابي في مجتمعهم‪.‬‬ ‫‪ n‬كسر العزلة االجتماعية التي تفصل جنين عن باقي مدن وقرى فلسطين‪.‬‬

‫سوزان وصفي‬ ‫معلمة تصوير فوتوغرافي وسينمائي‬ ‫أستطيع أن أتحدث عن أي شيء أريده من خالل الة التصوير وأن أعبر عن أفكاري ومعتقداتي وأحالمي‬ ‫في الحياة وبال قيود‪ .‬لقد اعتدت على التعرض للمشاكل من قبل المجتمع ألنني فتاة وهذا من‬ ‫المفترض أن يعني أال أخرج وال أعمل‪ .‬شعرت بالقيود تحيطني وعندما جئت للمسرح شعرت بأنني‬ ‫أمتلك المزيد من الحرية‪ .‬أستطيع فعل ما يحلو لي هنا ولست وحيدة بل لدي الكثير من األصدقاء‬ ‫لمساعدتي ودعمي وشعرت وكأنهم مجتمعي الذي لطالما حلمت به‪.‬‬ ‫التقرير السنوي لعام ‪2011‬‬

‫تالميذ جوليانو‬ ‫الرسالة الثورية لن تذهب سدى‪ ،‬ستأتي تعصفنا برمال صفراء وجبال مغطاة بأشجار اللوز ‪ ...‬من هنا‬ ‫من منصة الحرية‪ ،‬هنا يكون الرجال ويصنعوا ليكونوا أح��رارا ويرتبطوا في معركة الثقافة الثورية‬ ‫للحرية‪ ...‬في صحراء من الصمت هناك صوت واحد يعلو‪ ،‬انه صوت مقاتلي الحرية‪ ،‬الذين تعلموا أن‬ ‫يحملوا الثقافة والسالم على أكتافهم‪ ،‬جوليانو أطفال أمك قد استشهدوا‪ ،‬وأمك ارنا قد ماتت كذلك‪.‬‬ ‫لكن أبنائك سيبقوا على دربك‪ ،‬درب معركة الحرية وسيستمرون على نهج الثورة‪ ،‬ثورة الياسمين‪.‬‬

‫مسرح الحرية‬

‫كان عام ‪ 2011‬مؤلما لمسرح الحرية حيث قتل جوليانو مير‬ ‫خميس المؤسس وصاحب الرؤية لمسرح الحرية (في شهر‬ ‫أبريل من هذا العام) واألسوأ من ذلك أنه لم يكن على الطاقم‬ ‫واألعضاء التعامل مع صدمة فقدانهم لزميلهم ومعلمهم وصديقهم‬ ‫المحبوب جوليانو وحسب‪ ،‬ولكن عدم معرفة من الذي قتله ولماذا؟‬ ‫إضافة لذلك واجه المسرح مضايقات مستمرة من قبل الجيش‬ ‫اإلسرائيلي والذي سجن ثالثة من أعضاء الطاقم األبرياء‪ ،‬حيث‬ ‫تعرضوا للتحقيق واالستجواب والكثير من الضرب‪ ،‬وقد تم‬ ‫إخالء سبيلهم بعد احتجازهم بدون توجيه أي تهمة‪.‬‬ ‫وبالرغم من كل هذه المضايقات قرر الطاقم والمجلس واألعضاء‬ ‫المحافظة على المسرح متماسكا من االنهيار‪ ،‬وساعدنا في‬ ‫ذلك دعم أصدقاءنا في أرجاء العالم‪ ،‬واستطعنا التغلب على‬ ‫العاصفة وتبعتها فترة من الدراسة وإعادة التنظيم والتي من‬ ‫خاللها خرجنا أقوى من ذي قبل في التزامنا للمحافظة على‬ ‫مسرح الحرية مزدهرا مرة أخرى‪ .‬عندما شارف هذا العام‬ ‫على نهايته كانت جميع أنشطتنا قد عادت لسابق عهدها تماما‬ ‫وكأنها مبادرات جديدة‪.‬‬

‫التمثيل‪ .‬لقد انضم العديد من الطالب السابقين الذين تخرجوا‬ ‫في العام الماضي إلى المسرح كممثلين مدربين وواعدين‪.‬‬ ‫رغم كل هذا‪ ،‬لن ننسى ولن نتوقف عن البحث‪ ،‬غير المشروط عن‬ ‫أولئك المسئولين عن قتل جوليانو ورؤيتهم يمثلون أمام العدالة‪.‬‬ ‫وكما شيدت أرنا والدة جوليانو مسرح الحرية بالهام ورؤية‬ ‫ثاقبين‪ ،‬فان عمل المسرح مستقبال سيكون مبنيا على رؤية‬ ‫والهام جوليانو‪ ،‬وسيستمر المسرح برسالته للتشجيع على‬ ‫النضال من أجل الحرية ليس فقط للفلسطينيين وإنما النضال‬ ‫من أجل جميع أبناء البشر‪.‬‬ ‫اننا في حداد‪ ،‬ولكننا سنستمر في مقاومتنا من خالل الفن‬ ‫كما وسنستمر في النضال‪ ،‬ونستمر في فعل أفضل ما لدينا‪.‬‬ ‫كما كان جوليانو سيقول‪:‬‬ ‫الثورة يجب ان تستمر‪.‬‬

‫المشكلة الكبرى التي واجهتها خالل دراستي في مجال العمل االجتماعي هي‬ ‫قضية الفتيات والنساء اللواتي حرمن من الحرية وسجن في المنازل وتعرضن‬ ‫للعنف‪ .‬أريد أن أستخدم األفالم ألجسد قصصا حقيقيا وأبرهن للمجتمع أن‬ ‫للنساء الحق أن يفعلن ما ي��ردن‪ .‬وألن��ه وحتى يومنا هذا نجد بعض الناس‬ ‫يسجنون بناتهم خوفا مما قد يحصل لهن‪ ،‬سأقوم بصناعة فيلم يعرض‬ ‫تجربة المرأه الحرة التي تخرج من منزلها وتذهب الى العمل ليستطيع الناس‬ ‫يعلموا أن ليس هناك سبب حقيقي للخوف عليهن‪٫‬‬ ‫أن‬ ‫‪2‬‬

‫مسرح الحرية‬ ‫هو مسرح مجتمعي محلي ومركز ثقافي في‬ ‫مخيم جنين لالجئين في الضفة الغربية‪ .‬يقدم مسرح‬ ‫الحرية برنامجا فريدا من نوعه من النشاطات التي‬ ‫تعتمد على األداء الفني والوسائط المتعدده‪ ٫‬بما‬ ‫فيها التمثيل‪ ،‬الدراما العالجية‪ ،‬مسرح البالي باك‬ ‫(اع��ادة التمثيل)‪ ،‬تصميم المسرح‪ ،‬صناعة االفالم‪،‬‬ ‫التصويرالفوتوغرافيوالكتابةاالبداعية‪.‬‬

‫لسنا بحاجة لمعالجة األطفال في جنين‪ ،‬وال نحاول معالجة العنف لديهم‪ ،‬بل نحاول أن نتحدى العنف‬ ‫لديهم بطرق مثمرة‪ ،‬وان هذه الطرق ليست بديال لمقاومة الفلسطينيين من أجل نيل حريتهم‪ ،‬بل العكس‪.‬‬ ‫وهذا يجب أن يكون واضحا‪ .‬وأقول هذا وكلي علم أنه ليس جيدا بالنسبة للمموليين‪ .‬وأنا هنا لست‬ ‫كباحث اجتماعي ولست يهوديا صالحا يقوم بمساعدة العرب‪ ،‬أو عربيا فلسطينيا خيريا جاء لمساعدة‬ ‫انضم لنضال الشعب الفلسطيني من أجل نيل حريتهم بشتى‬ ‫أناس فقراء واطعامهم‪ ٫‬انما أنا مناضل ّ‬ ‫الطرق‪ .‬وأقول هنا مرة أخرى لسنا معالجين نفسيين والمسيحيين صالحيين بل نحن مقاتلين ألجل الحرية‪.‬‬ ‫‪ii‬‬
