A MESSAGE FROM OUR NEW COO It’s been a couple years since I have been highly involved with FPC. I started out as a client in 2017 and was the COO of a functional medicine practice in North Carolina. To say we were successful with the FPC model would be an understatement.

We reached all of our goals in a shorter period than expected, including growing average revenue from $90K to more than $300K a month. We were published in a peer reviewed medical journal for our work in brain health and successfully executed an exit strategy for our founder. There were amazing celebrations along the way and a fair share of frustrations, roadblocks and hard times.

As a proud FPC Graduate, I became a venture-backed startup founder of a technology-enabled, virtual clinic in order to provide full-service care for those with pre-Alzheimer's. This was a different world than the brick-and-mortar practice I was used to, and it came with a different set of challenges, celebrations and hard decisions.

The education I received running a seven-figure practice and then raising seven figures for a high-speed startup has given me an incredible amount of experience. I look forward to the continued translation and growth of those methodologies into our FPC family.

My Return to FPC I kept in touch with Charlie, John and many members of the FPC team after graduating from the program and was able to experience a new connection with them as a friend. Not much changed in our relationship. There was still a deep caring for my personal wellbeing and professional success, a continued dedication to their own growth, and a true commitment to impacting as many lives as possible. It’s beautiful when you get a new perspective and realize people are the same on stage as they are behind the curtain.

FPC’s commitment to change 10 million lives was repeated in each of our conversations and it eventually pulled me back in. The leadership has been willing to make significant investments in new initiatives to accelerate their vision.

They are excited about developing new tools and tactics to support and elevate the FPC clientele and their patients.

They are determined to stay on the front lines and continue to evolve into the most sought-after and respected coaching program in the wellness industry. More importantly, they are willing to make hard decisions and put forth the massive action to reach their lofty objectives and long-term goals.

I have a professional declaration of designing and implementing a new model of care and operating system to make chronic disease optional, and FPC has the model and foundation to accelerate my vision. I have developed the skills, connections, and experience to lead the business operations to the level that is required to achieve this vision. I didn’t need a job, and FPC didn’t need a new COO; but the timing and our alignment allowed for multiple exciting shifts at the executive level, a stronger and more diverse team, and a clearer path towards 10 million lives.

I’m excited about what the future holds for our FPC family and greater community. The objectives we have committed to for the remainder of 2021 will make a huge impact on our clients in many ways and I am eager to share some of those with you at our Spring Quarterly.

I look forward to connecting (and reconnecting) with each of you as we push forward in our shared vision for a healthier world.

go too slow, or drop my fuel? What if I have to pee? What if I... what if I fail?

I try not to think, Brené!

That is how I would answer Brené Brown’s “rapid fire” question of: “You are called to do something brave, but your fear is real. What’s the first thing you do?” She asks this to each of her podcast guests, and I like hearing their different responses; but mine is always the same. I just try to push forward, and I try not to think.

“No one wants to do it. You just get up, get dressed, tie your shoes, and go.”

Of course, every time I hear Brené’s “brave” question I instinctively picture myself in grandeur moments. I’m either toeing a start line, speaking in public, or on a big stage. Those are moments of bravery, no doubt; but so are all of the little moments that people don’t see. The moments we push through even after contemplation and negotiation. The moments that shape our everyday life and teach us who we are.

I have failed. I’ve failed miserably, more than once; and I learned so much more in those experiences than I did when I hit my goal. I learned that bravery is not just showing up on race day, it’s showing up week after week with complete uncertainty about how things will turn out. Bravery is making the decision to try again after spending months on end sticking to the plan, being strategic, and still being defeated.

Bravery is holding on for dear life to the taste of victory when you’ve just lost.

I give this response every time I am asked how I can possibly get out of bed at 4 a.m. on a Sunday for a long-distance training run that I like to knock out with enough time to make the 11 o’clock church service.

If you win, it feels freaking fantastic. But if you don’t and you try again, it redefines your life. Winning got me a medal. But failing… failing taught me who I was.

I set my alarm for 3:55 because I know it will take me a full five minutes to go through my “I don’t want to get up” routine; which is a unique ratio of one part thinking about how crummy I will feel for missing a long run, and two parts thinking about how amazing I will feel once I’m done. Then, I think about the post run coffee. A piping hot cup of caffeine goodness that never tastes quite as good as it does after 15 plus miles; and that’s when I roll out of bed before another thought can enter my mind.

The typical training season is 26 weeks long and leads up to one single race; a marathon. Race day is the only morning I don’t spend five minutes negotiating with myself. Instead, I spend the entire morning thinking about how the previous six months have all led up to this one single event. All of my hard work, my planning, my forfeiting of Saturday night outings has all led up to this one day and I’m about to find out if it was worth it.

“It’s just another long run. You can do this.” My mind repeatedly interjects this chant between all of the what if’s. What if I get hurt? What if I have to walk? What if I have a wardrobe malfunction? What if I start too fast, or No. 66 I May 2021

The Balance Between Quality and Quantity As entrepreneurs we graciously adapt the concept that quality is crucial, and I agree that it definitely is.

While we cannot expect to run a successful business with below standard services or products, what is often overlooked is that quantity is equally important. There isn’t a line drawn in the sand where we must choose a side. Instead, there has to be a cohesive balance between the two and consideration that sometimes it depends on the circumstance.

“If you are hyper-focused on perfection right out of the gate, you will be spending a lot of time thinking when you could be doing.”

A neurosurgeon, for example, will likely focus on quality at all costs. And let’s hope that if our loved one is ever undergoing surgery that the person holding the scalpel is not fixated on how many procedures they can perform that day, but instead attempting to provide a remarkable level of care and attention.

Conversely, a line cook working in a fast-food chain is likely focused more on output and quantity. In this particular case, speed matters when demand is high, and a line of customers is forming out the door.

Although these examples may be the extreme of each side, using this same type of analysis can prove to be beneficial in determining what is best for your business. Each task, project or initiative needs to be thought through. Here are some factors to consider:

1. When the initiative is your source of sustenance, focus on quality. For example, if you are creating

content for patient education, having the proper content is important. If you prioritize the quantity of information over its quality, you run the risk of either giving incorrect information or providing it in a way that does not meet the objective of empowering the patient. Focusing on quality in this scenario is what makes the education valuable.

2. When your initiative or project is your tool for delivering the sustenance, quality is subjective. Although you may

group your educational videos in with content, the video itself is merely the tool that you are using to deliver the valuable information. The production quality of the video, while important, does not require such meticulous attention as the content itself. Though you may want it to look good, it does not need to have the same quality standards as a feature film.

3. Repetition is quantitative and can lead to qualitative results. The final goal may be a quality product, but we may

not need that on day one. For example, when learning to do your webinar, initially, quantity is more important than quality. While you may want it to be perfect, it will take practice to get it there. If you are hyper-focused on perfection right out of the gate, you will be spending a lot of time thinking when you could be doing. It will take repetition to master and maintain the skill to get to a quality end product. So, in this example quantity is actually the path to quality.

4. Find the balance between quantity and quality and focus on achieving your overall objective. Look at your package creation, for instance, and ask yourself if a higher quantity of visits will equal a higher quality of care. Seeing every patient daily would not result in better patient outcomes. This will not help you meet your overall business objective as you would only have the capacity to see a limited number of people. Further, if you did see them daily you would not be able to run your business profitably, nor would you be able to maintain a quality of life for yourself. In this scenario, seeing them less frequently but steadily, while offering high quality visits may be the optimal balance of quantity and quality. Once that balance is achieved, it will result in meeting your overall business goals.

Consider these elements when attempting to understand which areas require greater attention to detail, and which areas would benefit from a quick output. Take heed of which feels more uncomfortable. If you are a natural perfectionist, you will likely feel more inclined to side with quality in all areas and I encourage you to remember the 80% rule and try implementing quantity in the areas in which speed, repetition, and output would serve you well. If you happen to be a quick start that practices “fire, ready, aim,” perhaps taking a closer look at the little details in certain areas could prove to be beneficial. In any case, remember: “Excellence comes when we balance quality with quantity.” – Amit Ray

MINDSET MATTERS

Respect the Timeline: The Beauty of Imperfection “A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.”

We want to grow, succeed, and be happy, but we’re constantly pushing away and trying to control the situations that will provide us with just that. We go through life doing whatever we can to avoid struggle, failure, and pain. We’re so focused on trying to get it right that we’re constantly interfering in our own lives, keeping situations from playing out as intended, and thus, delaying our growth.

We’re in hamster wheels of our own making. We’re so busy fighting off failure that it inhibits us from welcoming success. But if failure isn’t an option, then success isn’t either because failure isn’t the opposite of success, it’s an integral step towards it. This is an unhealthy relationship with failure.

“Being in a constant battle with failure is counterproductive” Think about something you are trying hard to achieve right now. Try and visualize yourself failing at it completely. Describe your true feelings of that failure below. This will indicate what your relationship with failure is and how you define it.

Now, take a look at how some of the greats define failure:

Do you see how these individuals perceive failure? Now, take a look at your definition again. Is that how you want your relationship with failure to be defined? Take a moment to redefine it.

I believe we all want the best for ourselves. We all have a desire to succeed in all areas but being in a constant battle with failure is counterproductive. When we start something new, something we’ve never done before, there’s always a learning process. This means we’re going to go through a period of not getting it right. We’re going to make mistakes before we can develop our skills to become better at it. In other words, we’re probably going to fail.

Before I became a coach, I was a salsa dance instructor. Oftentimes, I would get students who in their very first class would struggle, become frustrated, and feel disappointed. When I’d ask them about it, they’d say it was because they just weren’t getting it. “Was that your expectation on your first day?” I would always ask. “Yes, I’m an adult, and I should know better,” they’d say. I have no idea where adults got the impression that somehow the learning process skips them and that failing only applies to youth.

People expect the path of least resistance. The path that requires the least amount of effort. They want to snap their fingers, make it happen, and immediately become a success story without putting in the work. Success doesn't work that way.

Your desire to succeed means nothing without the effort. Effort is what produces results.

So, what does that effort look like? Here is the formula:

• Have a burning desire to do something – This means that this is a MUST for you, and you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.

• Be clear on your purpose – This is the one goal that is most important to you at the moment. Your desire for this goal must be so intense that the very idea of achieving it, excites you and makes you happy.

• Show up – This is about rising to the occasion, each and every time, ready to perform.

• Put in that extraordinary effort, dedication, and devotion - If we want to be successful, it takes doing more - a lot more. Achieving something outrageously extraordinary requires extreme effort.

• Have unwavering faith – This is about having complete confidence and trust, beyond any doubt, that you will make it happen. It may not happen right away, but unwavering faith is about persevering.

Are you going to struggle? Yes. Are you going to experience failure? Probably. Are you going to feel pain? Most likely.

But these are the very things that will cause you to improve. If you never experience failure, you’ll never see the need to improve. It’s a process and it requires patience to see it through. If you want it to happen fast, if you want it to happen yesterday, it’s probably not worth your time. Besides, “fast” puts the reward at risk.

You must honor and respect your timeline. It is precisely what will prepare you for success. Remember, your challenges and your failures are there to support and aid your growth. You just have to believe it and invest in yourself.

PRACTITIONER SPOTLIGHT: Dr. Troy Spurrill

A Doc’s Commitment to the Cause “Functional Medicine is like a dance and your patient's body is in the lead. As you improve one area, you see things change in another. It's a constant moving scenario.”

Troy Spurrill, D.C. at Synapse: Center for Health and Healing, had been “dancing” with functional medicine for nearly three years before being introduced to FPC; and prior to that, he had been running a chiropractic clinic for an entire 20 years.

He had been successful in his chiropractic business model. He had developed a routine, and his career was on track, but his heart ached for the patients he couldn’t help, and he became driven to find answers for them.

“The value of what we’re doing is finally equaling the money coming in.”

“I was seeing all these people who were falling through the cracks in the healthcare system. I would try and find them referrals; but many of them just didn't find success anywhere.”

After learning that functional medicine was the solution, he knew he had a tough decision to make. Diving into a new model would require a major shift in how he had run things for so long. So, he asked God to give him a sign.

“I had a good life, you know. I didn't want to get busier; and I knew what it meant in terms of responsibilities. So, I literally said, God, you need to hit me over the head with something.”

Troy’s “hit in the head” came that same week through an encounter with a patient who had experienced a “miraculous turnaround” with her health. She had encouraged Troy to build the functional medicine practice he’d often speak about, so he finally pulled the trigger. But the decision came with one condition.

“I had a deadline. If it wasn't going to work within three years, I wasn’t going to do it. And there were a few things that we had to see: the results to help patients had to be duplicatable, it had to be profitable, and it had to run without me being there.”

Troy had been treading water for three years after his shift and the date of his deadline was approaching. It was around that time when Dr. Josh, Chiropractic Neurologist and Head Researcher at Synapse, presented the entire leadership team with an alternative.

“Dr. Josh and Forrest (Dr. Forrest Sauer) went to school together and had been speaking to each other. Forrest made the referral and Dr. Josh brought it to the team. I knew FPC was a fit after the first meeting with Charlie. It was exactly what I was looking for.”

Prior to FPC, Troy’s team was experiencing burn out. They were working nonstop and had little time to enjoy any life outside of the business. After joining, they embraced FPC’s methods and incorporated a full-team approach into their processes.

“We meet every morning for 45 minutes to discuss all of our patients. We also meet once a week for three hours and its morphing us into speaking the same language and helps us be on the same page. That was a game-changer for us. And the value of what we’re doing is finally equaling the money coming in.”

“The team is bonding,” Troy said when I asked him to elaborate on his biggest triumphs. “There's zero chance I could have done this myself. Troy compared these to FPC’s values and mentioned how deeply the family-oriented culture resonated with him.

Like different people being available to discuss things and help out. There’s a lot of edification that comes from the different coaches. It gives us hope.”

Determination has been at the forefront of Troy’s entire life. In his twenties, he lost use of his arms and was told he’d spend life in a wheelchair; but was determined to prove the doctors wrong. Later, he opened his own practice and was determined to make it a success. After discovering functional medicine, he became determined to revamp the way he had practiced for the previous 20 years; and when he faced challenges in trying to do it alone, he was determined to find another way.

“We knew what we wanted but we didn’t have a good system to get there. FPC gave us what we needed. And we feel unstoppable.”

“I would have never imagined that I would be getting an award so early in the game. When I joined FPC, it was right after COVID. I hadn't worked for two months and I knew that I would need some other income options aside from seeing patients face to face. So, I dove right in and started selling plans to my patients one after another, I was flying high. Me and my wife, Paula purchased a new house in New Jersey. The move was rough. I was run down, and literally a day later I caught COVID. I felt like a football player who was knocked down on the 35-yard line. It took me six weeks to get back to the office. I was determined to keep going. Then my mother passed away and I was out of commission once again. I'm now back to working full time and looking forward to creating my webinar and start marketing out to the community so I can go online and really take my practice and my life to the next level. See the Dragon, Slay the Dragon: How to Conquer Challenges Although we know that positivity garners the best outcome, it is often difficult to avoid our initial instinct to focus on the negative when we are faced with a seemingly challenging situation. We immediately identify our flaws, our insecurities, and our weaknesses. We place our entire focus on the challenge making it bigger and bigger until it appears to be a behemoth of a dragon that seems impossible to slay. In those moments, we sometimes feel inadequate as we continue to magnify our dragon until the task itself seems insurmountable. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Having a clear perspective on the situation as a whole, gathering evidence to ensure we are correctly identifying the actual challenge, and putting a plan in place to overcome it, will allow us to slay our dragon for good.

Upon our transition into using our Quip software, I fixated on the unfamiliarity. It wasn’t what I had become so efficient at using and I saw a dragon sized challenge staring at me from my screen. I realized that I needed to slay this dragon quickly in order to be successful and knew that I had to start by changing my perspective. Though the

program itself was unfamiliar, I knew that I was fairly computer literate and chose to focus on that instead. Once I did, I noticed that some of the functionalities of Quip, such as the tagging and document creation, were similar to those of Microsoft Word and Facebook; which are both programs I was very familiar with.

Be cognizant of seemingly challenging situations that merely require you to assess your learning curve. This will help you break down your dragon into bite sized chunks as you navigate through the unknowns of your task. Once you have a grasp on its actual size, it is equally important that you are not misidentifying your challenge. Doing so is time consuming and can lead to missed opportunities

I recently spoke with a practice owner whose close rates were not where she wanted them to be, which led to her desire to focus on the webinar. We decided to take a step back and look at the big picture which in this case, was found in the reports tab. We noticed that her advertising ROI was at a very healthy $18. This meant that for every $1 she was putting into advertising she was generating $18 and there are not many investments with that type of return. She realized that the reason she wasn’t hitting her revenue goal was because she wasn’t investing enough into her advertising. The misidentification of the webinar being the challenge was unproductive and was not helping her get to where she wanted to be.

A somewhat similar situation came up when a different practice owner was hyper-focusing on the last few PMEs that didn’t move forward. This particular case required a much-needed perspective shift when we identified that she was signing more programs than ever, her influx of prospects had highly improved, and all of her conversion rates were trending in the right direction. Although this may seem like an imaginary challenge, mindset is oftentimes our biggest dragon and having a plan to combat this is helpful.

What I, and these two practice owners initially lacked, was a big picture approach and each of us had to change our perspective first in order to correctly identify our actual challenge. Keeping your stats up to date in the portal and using the reports tab weekly is crucial. This is the best way to gain a clear perspective on the overall situation.

Next, ensure you are correctly identifying your challenge by examining all of the relevant information. Taking a closer look at each piece will help you focus on the areas that truly need your attention and allow you to work on the appropriate tasks.

Then, map out your plan. Attending the right workshop, scheduling a mindset call, stat analyzation, and improving metrics through team trainings are just some of the available resources. Choose the appropriate route that will help steer you towards success.

Regardless of how big your dragon may seem, using this as a guide will help you defeat it. Work with your coach to develop a big picture approach in order to correctly identify your challenge and choose an appropriate plan of action to slay your dragon for good!

The rest of my day flowed without the negative energy and frustration when I chose to react in a more positive way to what was happening. I had my peace of mind back, and of course all the issues (mostly technology, ugh!) were ultimately resolved.

I share this with you because I know we all have challenging days and situations which are beyond our control. Although being part of a small practice that is making a big impact and changing lives is incredibly rewarding, as we all know it’s not always smooth sailing. So, when those challenging things happen, remember there is always one thing you can control… your attitude.

The 90% Rule that Puts You in Control Have you ever had a saying, a quote, or a story that you’ve heard serval times before, hit you right in the heart on a day that you particularly needed to hear it?

This happened to me a couple weeks ago with a quote I heard on a podcast. It’s something that I’ve always known and a mindset I try and live by, but sometimes still fall short in achieving. “Life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it.” Those words resonated with me so deeply on that particular day that I shared it on my next Team Workshop. I wasn’t really sure why it stuck with me that time, but it wasn’t long before I found myself reflecting on it after facing a series of frustrating issues that surfaced the very next day.

I found myself becoming incredibly anxious when one challenge after another kept popping up. They seemed never ending, created confusion, and interrupted my workflow (anyone relate?). Then, it came back to me: “Wait a minute! I have the control! I have control over whether this is going to bring me down or not!” I immediately regained my perspective and checked back in with my thoughts and attitude.

The Foolproof Process to Fill Your Seats

Kori Feldman, M.D., has cultivated a rock-solid “A-team” at Vitality Family Health and Vitality Wellness Partners that is infused with trust, commitment and an innate capability to prevail in any given situation. Together, they are impressively powerful and wildly dedicated.

Though they are mighty, even the strongest are susceptible to experience times of struggle and, as with most practices, that time came with the huge shift that was brought on by the pandemic. But by that time, Kori’s team had already been facing a challenge of their own: they were going to be one team member short for several months.

“When the pandemic first hit, Jessica was on maternity leave and was supposed to come back in May. The pandemic pushed her return back, so she ended up coming back in August. It was crazy.”

Upon her return, Jessica Nowaczyk, Office Manager, continued doing discovery calls for both sides of the hybrid practice. She joined the team in 2018 and Kori says she is creative, driven, extremely reliable and has grown significantly in the past few years.

Kori has also grown since joining FPC. Prior to onboarding in 2015, she had been running an insurance-based family medicine clinic for six years and she was frustrated. She spent an abnormal amount of time with her patients trying to persuade them to live a healthier life and she felt stuck.

“I never thought that there would be a better way. I just knew, what I knew –conventional medicine. You work yourself to death until you retire and that's it. As soon as I learned about FPC it opened up a whole new realm of possibilities of what life could be like and it made so much sense.”

Kori has been through quite the journey since her insurance days and is grateful to FPC for giving her the tools to be successful, and hit several “freedom milestones,” such as a two-week trip to Italy with her spouse. She incorporates FPC methods into her practice habitually and says that following the FPC hiring process is not only helpful, its crucial.

“I was amazed at how much easier it was to find rock-stars using the FPC process. I had dragged my feet before on making necessary changes and always paid for it. That’s one of the many reasons I appreciate my amazing team. It took so much blood, sweat, and tears to get here. It's not easy, but it's worth the effort of trying to find your A-players.”

That appreciation was pretty evident as we discussed each team member. Kori knew their likes and dislikes, and she pointed out several similarities they all shared. One of which was discovered through a recent personality test they had taken together.

“We got the Enneagram book and as a team, we filled it out and figured out what our numbers were. Tracy and I were very similar. We were both one’s.” Tracy Bongiorno, Physician Assistant, is the veteran team member at Vitality. She has been by Kori’s side for seven years and has been her “rock” through several challenges. Kori mentioned how much she loves Tracy’s practical and nurturing nature.

Jenny Bolognani, Nurse Practitioner, joined the team in 2019. Kori described her as their “hybrid virtuoso” and raved about how beautifully she handles their patients on both sides of the practice. “She is so young and yet so mature,” Kori said about her Wellness Concierge, Becca Wert Thompson. “She’s easy to bounce ideas off of and always gives me honest feedback. She is an excellent listener with an amazing heart.”

Throughout the work week this team of five is in complete solidarity. They prioritize a two-hour team training every week and their quarterly goals adorn a board in their break room. They are quick at solving problems and if something unexpectedly comes up, they put it in their group text so everyone can offer support.

Their acquaintanceship, however, goes beyond their office walls. Kori had salt caves, painting parties, and Ariel yoga on her list of past adventures and talked about how excited she was for the plans she and her team had later that same day.

“We're doing a ‘going remote’ party today as a team. Becca is getting married and moving and will be working remote next month. So, we’re going to a regenerative farm to learn about them and go on a hike. Then we're going to a farm-to-table restaurant so I'm excited! Everybody is.”

Commitment, both to the team and to their mission, is what keeps this awesome group in sync. They communicate well, they grow together, and they are always there for each other.

“Success is impossible without your team,” Kori said. “Take care of them and they will take care of you.”

Together, We Are Strong The sun is on my face, a nice cool breeze is stirring the branches and dogs are stopping to say hello. As I make my way down the hiking trail, I stop for a moment to appreciate a majestic oak off the path.

In this part of Texas, we are known for our scrub trees, so when you see an old, majestic, beautiful tree, you stop and appreciate it. You appreciate the years of growth, the deep roots and the vivid light green of new development. It’s an exquisite sight of strength and change and it reminds me of the functional medicine tree. That beautiful picture of deep healthy roots which create a strong, unbreakable foundation of health and rejuvenation.

Together, we are the strong, unbreakable roots that belong to our mission of changing 10 million lives. In order for us to create a newly developed and rejuvenated healthcare system, this mission has to start with each and every one of us. We are the ones that cause this to flow into our practices and into our communities. We are the roots that create a surge of growth that will eventually become much bigger than us.

Storms come. The direction of the wind changes from time to time and every so often there are periods of drought. Change is certain but our roots are deep. More and more people are choosing to change their lives for the better and our unity is powerful. Our strength will allow us to change lives for generations. Our strength is the unbreakable bond of the FPC family.

MASTERMIND:

A New Member Perspective

Going from zero to starting a practice from scratch and successfully building that over three years with FPC, I learned a lot. So, my wife and I decided to join the FPC Mastermind and had a first meeting with John Linton where we sat down and reframed everything.

“The Mastermind meetings are powerful” Now I thought I had some understanding of what I was doing but it’s one of those experiences where someone asks you the right questions: • What is the business actually doing for us?

• What do we want out of the business?

• What are our end goals?

• What do we really want in life in terms of quality, not just financially, but personally?

• How is the business going to help us get to those goals?

We have had hours of conversation that unpacked a completely different concept for me that is changing the way that I'm building the business!

I'm very grateful for the work that we've begun. We have set in motion the goals for the rest of this year, the next three years, and the next five years. This is so valuable. We really have a purpose that goes beyond building a business but understanding where we want to go and why.

Sarah Treat’s Kale & Quinoa Salad Dressing Recipe

FPC’s Sarah Treat is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist and owner of Local Health Market.

Her family health food store is quite popular at the FPC office. She not only caters all of our team events but is quite often our go-to place for lunch! Her entire food line is delicious!

Here is her recipe for a sauce that will make your salad robust and leave you wanting more.

Sauce Ingredients:

Apple Cider Vinegar Olive or avocado oil Bragg’s Liquid Amino’s Coconut Sugar Red Pepper Flakes Garlic Cloves, Minced

Amount:

Directions:

½C ½C ¼C 2 tbsp 2 tsp 4

1. Warm up all ingredients on the stove top and bring to a boil.

2. Immediately remove from stove-top and pour over 1-2 heads of washed and de-stemmed kale leaves.

3. Add any extras such as cherry tomatoes, garbanzo beans, shredded chicken, salmon, quinoa, walnuts, etc.

Pull out the grocery list and jot this down!
