The County Engineer/ Director of Public Works provides the vision, strategic planning, and fiscal management for the operations of the County Public Works Department. This includes county-wide capital asset planning and acquisition, development for projects, facilities and equipment, parks and trails, public utilities, county survey, roads, bridges, and dams. This position uses independent judgement to formulate, plan, and develop policies and procedures while providing engineering services and recommendations to the County Board and other local city and township officials. This is a Grade 25 position with a starting salary of $94,885.23.
