RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will perform the following:
• Animal Welfare Auditing: Complete the Hormel Foods Corporation animal welfare audit at the specified frequency within the company audit program. Must work with management to take corrective action when audit results dictate they are necessary. May include providing training to small groups.
•P rocess Monitoring: Responsible for monitoring the adherence to animal welfare programs at Quality Pork Processors as well as Hormel Foods Corporation Livestock Receiving. This will include being present during 60-70% of the time we are harvesting animals and will include weekends. Provide guidance to employees on the best techniques for animal handling and take appropriate action when standards are not met, which may include stopping the harvest process to address serious concerns. •V ideo Monitoring: Utilize our 3rd party video monitoring to remotely audit the process and verify correct animal handling procedures are being utilized. •R ecords Management: Enter animal welfare audit results into the online audit database and complete forms for audit corrective actions as necessary.

The award recognizes Ms. Olmsted’s 38 years of distinguished service with the County and is in recognition of the advocacy provided by Ms. Olmsted. This service was provided on a county, state and national level for victims of child abuse, sexual assault, crime, domestic violence and their loved ones. In addition, this award recognizes her work on behalf of individuals and communities looking for ways in which to find resiliency after natural and human made disasters. A plaque will be given to the Award recipient in April 2017. The recipient of the Award shall be a Freeborn County citizen professional or volunteer whose advocacy for an individual, family or a community exemplifies service to others. The core values of social work will serve as the foundation of the award.
