Our Parks, Recreation and Events team is excited to bring back safe, socially distanced programs for our fall season. Please note that the Dorothy Hart Community Center is CLOSED to the public. However, we are enrolling online and ready to help you by phone for these new Fall Program registrations. Children’s Art Show
Rescheduled for August 27-29
at the Dorothy Hart Community Center. Admission is free
Exhibit Hours:
Thursday, August 27 from 10am-7pm Friday, August 28 from 10am-7pm Saturday, August 29 from 10am-4pm Show Guidelines: Masks will be required to enter the building per Governor’s guidance and worn at all times while in the building. Follow the signs to enter and exit the show. You will enter one way and exit another to avoid crowding. Restrooms will not be available, so please plan ahead of time. The attendees will be limited to 50 people inside at one time. We will have a staff member in the Auditorium at all time to monitor the show and enhance cleaning throughout the day. Art pieces will be spread further apart to allow for social distancing.
Drive In Family BINGO
September 9th at 6:30pm at Dorothy Hart Community Center Parking Lot $5 per player, pre-registration is required Enjoy an evening of BINGO fun and win great prizes! The Parking lot will open at 6pm. Bring your own marker. BINGO cards will be provided. Participants must remain in their vehicles at all times. Numbers will be called through radio and holding up signs. Call BINGO by honking your horn and then turning on flashers. Preregistration is required. Register online or call 540-372-1086 x0.
Drive In Senior BINGO
September 9th at 10am at Dorothy Hart Community Center Parking Lot Admission is free The Parking lot will open at 9:30am. Participants must remain in their vehicles at all times. Numbers will be called through radio and holding up signs. Call BINGO by honking your horn and then turning on flashers. Limited to the first 38 vehicles. Take an Art Walk Downtown
The City’s annual display of road side sculptures is still available now through late September. Take your family and friends out for an outdoor art walk in downtown to see the five public art sculptures located at Fall Hill Avenue, Old Mill Park, Wolf Street triangle, VRE at Caroline Street and Dixon Park. Don’t miss them! They’ll be replaced with new sculptures this October.
