MESSAGE FROM THE PROVOST Dr. Kevin Kearns

As this publication demonstrates, faculty at the State University of New York at Fredonia are actively engaged in their professions as researchers, scholars, and creative artists and performers. They produce scientific inquiry, scholarly analysis and critique, artistic expression, and community-based research in the arts, business, education, and the natural sciences.

They have represented Fredonia in the pages of books and articles, at the podiums of national and international conferences, on stages and in galleries around the world. They bring that spirit of inquiry and creative expression to their work as teachers, inspiring our students with their passion for their discipline, and often involving students in their research, scholarship, and creative activity. I hope that this publication, which we intend to publish annually, will serve as public recognition of their hard work. I offer my sincerest congratulations and gratitude for their contributions.
