What Makes Them Shine 22 Slate is performing very well with a full community of amazing residents! The team recently hosted an “Early Renewal Campaign” on Facebook Live for June through August renewals, which included 120 residents. It was a great way to get a jump start to the busiest months and, as a result, the property had 35 renewal leases signed. What a fun way to safely engage with residents!

The team got a lot of positive resident feedback, including requests to host more virtual events in the future.

Kevin Minter, Maintenance Supervisor is ready for the golf courses to open up so he can swing his new clubs! Claudia Torrez-Bostillo, Housekeeping enjoys listening to music, cooking, communicating with family, and is looking forward to fishing with her husband!

Although 2020 was a crazy year for almost everyone, there IS someone who was happy that I was spending more time at home – my cat, Bruce. Two and a half years ago, I found him crying underneath my car as a kitten, half starved. I took him in and immediately knew I was going to keep him and name him Bruce.

I’ve never wanted or owned a cat, but he’s found his forever home with me. We, like everyone, are trying to start 2021 with a can-do attitude and accept change. We’ve found a new home in the Riverwest neighborhood of Milwaukee, which we just moved into in April. So far, I’m in love with the neighborhood and having an apartment all to myself (and Bruce) for the first time!

PROJECT UPDATE SEASONS AT ORCHARD HILLS

First In Line For The Seasons Brand

Seasons at Orchard Hills in Oak Creek, WI was started in late fall 2018 and completed around Thanksgiving 2020. The construction manager was Moore Construction and the designer was AG Architecture.

The project faced quite a few unique challenges with the uncertainty created around the pandemic and new issues that seemed to pop up every week. Significant product delivery delays, COVID outbreaks, and labor shortages were all issues that needed to be overcome during a very uncertain time. Through all of this, the construction team was able to turn over all the buildings on time with very few quality concerns. The property's aim is to 'Redefine Suburban Living' and does so by featuring 26 unique floorplans ranging from Studio to 3-Bedroom, private entrances, in-unit washer and dryers, garage options, fitness center, state-of-theart clubhouse with a full kitchen, patio and grill area, resort style pool and complimentary coffee. Leasing hit it out of the park and built a thriving community by the final building turnover. It is also the first in our line of Seasons branded properties in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Seasons at Orchard Hills stands out for their social media following and engagement. The team held a 'Holiday Patio Decorating Contest' on Instagram and the winning photo had over 130 'likes' from residents and the community.

In-Person Baseball Is Back!

This makes being the Brewers' Official Housing Partner even more exciting for 2021. Over the years, hiring interns for MLB has become very competitive. The partnership with FRED to offer housing (currently at Synergy at the Mayfair Collection) gives them an edge in the market.
