Every year over 1,200 workplace campaigns take place in our four-county footprint. United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County could not be as successful raising millions of dollars to benefit this community every year without the support of area businesses like Fiduciary Real Estate Development.
In 2018, FRED raised $23,738! The majority of these dollars went to local agency program partners or to the Community Fund, which enables United Way to invest in a variety of much-needed programs that benefit persons of all ages: from infants to youth, families, the elderly and those living with disabilities. An additional $3,373 was raised by FRED’s properties in Madison. FRED’s employees donate their time as well as their dollars. Last year’s “Bucket Brigade” filled buckets with much-needed household items which were later distributed by New Concept Self Development Center to local families transitioning to new homes or simply in need of cleaning supplies they couldn’t otherwise afford.
The generosity of FRED’s donors ensures that children can receive outpatient rehabilitation for a variety of disabilities in their own homes (Curative Care Network), that persons have access to community resources for mental illness and mental health screenings (Mental Health America of Wisconsin) and victims of domestic violence have a safe shelter to turn to (Sojourner Family Peace Center). These are just a few examples of the services provided by 220+ funded programs. Since its first workplace campaign inception in 2001, FRED has raised nearly $226,000 for our community.
Thank you for Living United! Sincerely,
FRED FUN

Until then, Constance always enjoys flying through the “Chicago Shelf”, a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) corridor where she has the freedom to navigate primarily with what she sees (visuals) as opposed to relying on instruments. “I’ll take any excuse to go out there,” she said. “Who’s up for a flight?!”
Once a Commercial Pilot’s license is under her belt, Constance plans to fly local charters for experience towards her next goal; waving from the cockpit on your next vacation.
Constance’s flight training year continued until she earned her Private Pilot’s license in May, and shortly after became the partial owner of a N734UV aircraft (top)!

“It would be really neat once I receive my Airline Transport Pilot’s license if my first major airline was where this dream began as a flight attendant - Frontier Airlines,” said Constance. “My ultimate dream would be to fly for United Airlines!”

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Meet some of our fantastic team members!
NATALIE FERN LARSEN Full-Time Utility/Cleaning, The Landmark Q: What’s the best way to start your day? I love to get my day started with a cup of coffee - the stronger the better! Some mornings when I have some extra time, I enjoy working on art projects. I really enjoy painting. Q: Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? The most relaxing place I have ever been is the ocean. I love to visit the Oregon Coast. I can’t wait to go back to visit! Q: What skill would you like to master? I am very interested in airbrushing. This is a technique that you use to layer paint and create texture in your paintings. Thinking about work I would love to learn more about the maintenance and rehab side of things. I love to gain knowledge and expand my skills. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to see something like new again.
PROPERTY SPOTLIGHT FRED communities doing amazing things.
WHAT MAKES THEM SHINE With 464 units, Arbor Lakes is FRED’s Largest Property! Recent accomplishments include the installation of three fountains at the Community Center which has truly brought the beauty of the pond to light. The apartments are also being upgraded and to date they have remodeled approximately half of the units, including complete kitchen and bath replacements. They’ve replaced the swimming pool deck at one of the two pools, making it appear brand new. Boasting a 9 ft depth, it’s perfect for a swim! If that’s not your fancy, you can also enjoy fishing, pedal boats, walking paths, sand volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, a fitness center, community gardens and more!

POLLUTION SOLUTIONS: Rain, rain, don’t go away Stormwater runoff is one of the leading contributors to water pollution in urban and developing areas in Wisconsin. At Fiduciary, we not only want to engineer our sites to minimize water pollution, but are required to by code. At Jade Apartments, we selected an underground water runoff solution to capture and hold runoff pollution from parking lots and buildings. This solution increases our infrastructure cost, but allows us to maximize developable land area to meet apartment count targets.
