New year, new energy! The end of 2020 brought Synergy two new employees: Liza Olson from Enclave (Leasing Coordinator) and Leesa Eaton (Property Manager). The team rang in the new year by sharing “delicious cheer” with all of their residents, leaving a bottle of Prosecco at each door, tied with a lovely ribbon and a card signed by their team. Last month, Synergy had over 65 tours (in-person and virtual), with 14 new leases and 6 pending, plus an application waitlist. Synergy’s main goal for 2021 is to retain a minimum of 50% of their current residents. So far, so good - they had 100% renew for February! Synergy is having an interactive, sociallydistanced Renewal/Valentine's Celebration with prizes for everyone who responds to renewal inquiries, plus our famous “Spinning the Wheel”!

Property Management Accounting Manager Corporate With the recent inauguration, I was reminded of one of my favorite family vacations. A few years ago, I took a trip to Washington, D.C. with my family. When I say family, it’s really an entourage of 14 people that includes my parents, siblings, and my own family. It was a job in itself to book the trip and coordinate with everyone on the itinerary but we had so much fun! Some of my favorite memories are touring the beautiful city, seeing inspiring monuments and museums, and hanging out with wild horses on the beach (Assateague Island National Seashore). For someone who was not born here, the trip had deep meaning and appreciation for all the wonders and possibilities that can happen here in America.

Shannon has managed through a difficult year with COVID-19. She is the go-to for employee inquiries related to Coronavirus, evaluates protocols, administers Emergency Paid Sick Leave, advises on testing locations, helps employees feel safe, and gets them needed answers. She does this on top of her daily responsibilities and in addition to homeschooling her son since his school is completely virtual. She works tirelessly to make sure the health and safety of the employees is top priority. She does all of this with a positive attitude and compassionate heart. Thank you Shannon for all you do!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS This year, FRED will bring new holidays to its calendar, closing for full or half days. AT MAPLE GROVE Observed holidays will now include Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 18th), Juneteenth Day (June 19th) and Veteran's Day (Nov 11th). Jackie Forecki, Director of Human Resources, wrote in a company address, "At FRED we want to recognize the significance of these days by designating them as a company AT MAPLE GROVE holiday." The new calendar also includes pre-planned Early Release days (ending at 2:00pm) to get a jump on weekend holidays.
