LETTER FROM SARAH As I approach my 10th Anniversary with FRED, I am honored to be a member of the FRED team and a witness to all our growth which has brought so many opportunities and developed strong leaders and mentors. When I joined the great FRED team in 2009, we had 8 properties in the Madison area; today there are 15. This has allowed many opportunities for FRED employees to grow. I had the pleasure of witnessing a Pool Monitor become a strong, confident Property Manager and I have witnessed a Maintenance Tech become an Assistant Manager. I cannot recall how many properties I have been fortunate enough to be a part of or how many supportive, fun and strong Supervisors or Accounting team members have led me to the path I am on today. Truthfully, each FRED person has taught me something valuable, challenged me, and made me strong and confident. Being part of FRED’s Team, you have the opportunity to work with a variety of people with amazing skills and outstanding customer service practices all because of the FRED Way! As they say, “Home is where the heart is” so we are reminded that FRED supports us and teaches us that great things can be accomplished when we work together as a team, to be accountable, to be thoughtful, to not discriminate and to put our residents needs first!

FRED FAMILY UPDATE GREETINGS FROM GREECE Greg Recounts his Family Travels Our very own Senior Financial Analyst, Greg Thelen, is on stage this month as he and his family recently took a two and a half week trip to Greece! “This was a family trip that included my wife (Maia) and two daughters (Mila – 14 and Madison – 3),” says Greg. “One of the reasons we chose Greece is because our daughter (Mila) has always been Oia is considered fascinated with Greek mythology.

The Greek people are very outgoing and some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met. On several occasions, our driver would pull over to roadside markets and buy all of us water and small candies for our daughters. Greek women would want to pick up our 3 year old and hug her non-stop. Overall the trip was an amazing and unforgettable experience.”
“First in Athens, we visited the Acropolis. After eating at a local restaurant, the wait staff invited us to learn a traditional Greek dance and then to say “Opa” and smash plates on the ground. Our 3 year old definitely got a kick out of this.
“We had to travel via high speed ferry to get to all of the islands. We visited the windmills in Mykonos Village. When we got to the hotel, the room looked like something out of the movies. It was breathtaking. “
“My wife and older daughter went on a catamaran cruise to tour the red and black beaches and watch the sunset. Oia is considered one of the top places in the world to watch the sunset. Pictures don’t do it justice.”
Amazing food all around! Generally I don’t eat lamb but I now love lamb kebabs. This ended up being our 3 year old’s favorite.”

Cody has repeatedly made the Top 10 for Call Scores in the Madison/Green Bay Portfolio ranging in the high 90th percentile. In the last two months his call scores have been 100%!

Q: What is your favorite pastime? Jon: I love being on a lake, boating, fishing, or just exploring and enjoying nature. Q: If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Jon: I would have to say pizza. You can put almost anything on a pizza and I enjoy a variety of different foods. Q: What is your dream vacation? Jon: I would enjoy traveling through Europe.

FRED EXPANDING TO ILLINOIS WEST FRED could break ground as early DUNDEE as August on a 380-unit apartment CHICAGO community aimed at filling a housing gap in West Dundee, IL. The village board gave the green light to 19 twostory buildings, each with 20 luxury rental apartments, all slated to be built and a half, with the first apartment building expected to open next spring, said Tony DeRosa, Vice President of Development at Randall Road and Recreation Drive. Construction likely will take about a year for Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc.
