LETTER FROM 2023 FRED SUMMIT Navigating New Terrain
March 16th brought us our first in-person FRED Summit Navigating New Terrain. It is an event that becomes a day of learning and fun for property management with some great takeaways from our in-house subject matter experts, as well as, our keynote speaker. This year featured Brett (with Austin Mautz and Steve Bersell) showing us how to “Think Like an Owner”, Kristin Janowski helping us with communication, Eric Isidoro who is always helping us through Entrata, and award-winning author and speaker The Gary Gregory teaching us how to be the "Captain of our Leader-Ship". Everyone was given a copy of his book, The Super Fantastic Process, with the opportunity to have it signed. We also had some fun with giveaways in the spirit of hiking. Our Entrata Regional Vice President, John Statchura, joined to introduce himself and give out more great prizes. Being a part of FRED giving is always rewarding. $5,000 was donated to Hunger Task Force along with a FRED volunteer day helping on The Farm. You can sign up here to volunteer! We capped off the day with a “Day in the Life of a Zookeeper”. The highlight was when everyone had the opportunity to feed an opossum and even give it a pet. I would like to personally thank my team of Julie, Shannon, Eric, and Will for all their hard work and efforts to pull off an amazing Summit.

Uplighting will be added around each of the columns to draw attention from the street after dark. The 11th floor clubroom will receive the same facelift, including a new shuffleboard and billiards table, along with an Instagram-worthy accent wall featuring a neon sign of the property’s well-known tagline, “Claim Your Domain.” They say “it takes a village,” and this project is no exception. Special shout-out to Jenny Doede of Plan North Partners who has been my right-hand gal in planning this highly detailed renovation. RICK JAHN Regional Maintenance Supervisor Corporate My journey with FRED started at The Fairways in Fitchburg in March of 2014. Over the last nine years, I’ve bounced my way around the portfolio, serving as Lead Maintenance Tech at six properties, including working with our construction team to open 1 Glenn Place and The 85 at Maple Grove. I’ve enjoyed the team atmosphere at FRED and have appreciated the opportunities I’ve had to advance in my career. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Jamie, Jeff, and the rest of the Maintenance Management Team to help support all our properties in my current role as Regional Maintenance Supervisor.

MEGAN KREBS Property Manager | 22 Slate & Barrington Place When asked by our majority shareholder, Ted Kellner, to facilitate units for the new University of Wisconsin Football Coaching staff, Megan Krebs went out of her way to provide great service. The UW athletics department and the coaches were very appreciative. Ted called me to let me know the UW Assistant Athletic Director had called him to single out Megan for her great service and how pleased they were. When I called to her to thank her, in her typical Megan style she said, "Well thank you, but I'm just doing my job."
