Micah 6:8 & 7:18-20
(Micah 6:8) He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
(Micah 7:18-20) Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
Micah speaks against the rulers and the prophets. (Micah 3:1-8)
Micah tells the people that God is and will be their shepherd.
1. God shepherds by gathering (Micah 2:12)
2. God shepherds by teaching. (Micah 4:1-2)
3. God shepherds by satisfying our longings. (Micah 4:6-7)
4. God shepherds by satisfying our loneliness. (Micah 7:14)
5. God shepherds by revealing himself in power. (Micah 7:15)
6. God shepherds by showing compassion and giving forgiveness. (Micah 7:18-20)
7. God shepherds the world through Jesus. (Micah 5:2, 4-5a)
