Know the Father’s Provision (Luke 11: 1-4) One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” 1. Our life of faith is like long-distance race. (Hebrews 12:1) …let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (1 Corinthians 9:24–25) Do you not know that the runners in the stadium all run in the race, but only one wins the prize? Run so as to win. (2 Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (Acts 20:24) I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me... 2. It is ok to admit that we get tired during the race. 3. God has got me. (Matthew 28: 18) All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 4. God has got me today. (2 Corinthians 5:7) For we walk by faith, and not by sight. 5. God has got me every day.
