LINDY ROBBINS
I love turning our readers on to my musical past and all the amazing people I met along the way. Lindy Robbins is my wonderful and talented friend who happens to be a multi-platinum, award winning songwriter. I hope you enjoy this great interview with her and allow me to take a moment to congratulate her, not only on her success, but her recent marriage to the love of her life, Derek!

What is your favorite meal?
Caesar salad with fresh anchovies, pasta marinara with turkey meatballs or seafood, a glass of Cabernet, and chocolate or coconut cake (or both?) with a macchiato for dessert. My mouth is watering while Iwrite this!
What is your most treasured possession?
My diamond engagement and wedding rings. Love came late for me and I got engaged in Provence before the pandemic, like something out of a fairytale. I had given up on love and was genuinely happy on my own when out of the blue I met my future husband on Bumble. The rings remind me everyday that miracles happen and to never give up on my dreams.
What do you love most about your work?
The flexibility and ability to reinvent myself. I love that every day is something different or new, writing songs in a multitude of genres in studios all over the world, or lately writing with people all over the world via Zoom, cozy in my home office. My career has kept me young and I still love what I do and feel more inspired than ever.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world who would it be?
Can I say Paul McCartney and Joni Mitchell? Maybe we could collaborate on something after dessert.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am passionate about travel, and my wanderlust is incurable. I am always planning trips from local jaunts to faraway places, and I often research places to go and stay. I also love to read The New York Times and fiction. I am even writing on a novel for fun which may or may not ever get finished, but I’m having a ball trying. I also love simply relaxing at home with my husband and two cats or spending time with my family and friends.
Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
New York City, which I have lived in and may live in again someday, or London so I could still write songs for a living but hop over to Paris, Florence, Stockholm, and many other amazing cities for a weekend.
