WELL HOW AND WHERE TO START? I should be good talking about myself, huh? This is actually hard for me to begin.

At this point, I had been with the same medical company and was curious of my next step in my career. Modeling came pretty easy to me with my outgoI then found out that the sales industry is where I ing and spunky personality. I was never a girly wanted to settle into. Around this time, my high girl, I loved sports and we are talking real sports. I school sweetheart, Michael Campagna, and I took excelled in basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse over our yearly trip to the beautiful oceans of Nassau, the years in school. I first was exposed to modeling Bahammas. I found myself floating above the blue was when I entered myself into the Miss Colorado waters with the love of my life where Michael asked Pre-Teen Pageant in 2000. This was my first pageant me to marry him. Not only speechless but surprised and went in not thinking I would place. I wanted that Michael and I were coming back home as an to try it out for fun. My grandma and grandpa engaged couple. Eager to start planning our big were my complete support team, not only through day, I choose to wed on what would have been this event, but through every accomplishment my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. After throughout my childhood years. Anyways, this pag- loosing my grandma during the holidays in 2007 eant was held here in Denver in the summer. I com- was sure a part in my life where I couldn't imagine peted through the typical interview, evening gown having to stand alone. Michael was my rock and and talent portions of the pageant. As the last day how could I not want to spend the rest of my life of the pageant came about, I stood on a stage not with a men like that. In the midst of planning a knowing that I would be walking away with the wedding, Michael was given a surprised birthday crown of Miss Colorado Pre-Teen 2000 and I went gift, 7 months before we were set to marry, we on to compete in Nationals where there I learned found out we were pregnant and expecting a baby that pageants were not my thing. Seeing mothers in November of 2011. So our wedding plans then of pageant contestants pressure their daughters were postponed so that our new bundle of joy into winning was not my cup of tea. Sports was could be part of one of the most exciting days of where I continued to have fun and succeed. our lives, June 9th 2012. Being pregnant was such a wonderful experience. We gave birth to a beautiModeling didnt come back into my life until after ful baby boy, Carter Lee on October 26th. After the high-school. I started networking with photograHolidays came and went with our new baby boy, phers at local promotions around the denver-metro wedding plans just fell into place. We were set to area. Bikini contests were a sure fun way to get no- wed June 9th in Littleton, CO. ticed in Colorado. Not only making extra $$$ along the way, but you meet some great people along the way. I was asked to become a Coors Light girl, and then later a Bud Light Girl. Also along the way I had the privilege to be a Hooters Girl that also allowed me to gain access into Ring Girl events, and other promotional work around the area. Submitting photos to Maxim for their yearly Maxim Hometown Hotties was also an accomplishment. How I see how things are is that the Denver market tends to only strive around the younger generation of young ladies. Up until I was 22 I was seen in front of a camera or promoting the latest product. This was when I decided to start taking my life a little more serious and began to settle down with my high school sweetheart. June 2012 | Models of Colorado.com | 11

DRINK OF THE MONTH BY: ERNESTO MARTIN CAIPIRINHA (PRONOUNCED KIE-PURR-REEN-YAH) ROUGHLY TRANSLATES TO "COUNTRY BUMPKIN". IT IS MADE WITH CACHACA, AN INTENSELY SWEET BRAZILIAN STYLE OF RUM MADE FROM SUGARCANE JUICE. THE CAIPIRINHA IS THE NATIONAL DRINK OF BRAZIL, WHERE IT ORIGINATED, AND IS A COMMON CARNAVALE DRINK. ALTHOUGH IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND, IT'S IMPORTANT TO CHOOSE A PREMIUM CACHACA FOR THIS COCKTAIL IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE THE DRINK IS NOT HEAVILY FLAVORED AND A CHEAPER BRAND CAN RUIN AN OTHERWISE PERFECT CAIPIRINHA. CAIPIRINHA: FROM BRAZIL 1. 2/3 OZ OF CACHACA=LEBLON (NATURAL CANE CACHACA) 2. 1 LIME CUT INTO SMALL WEDGES 3. 2 TEASPOONS OF CRYSTAL OR REFINED SUGAR 4. SIERRA MIST , SPRITE OR JUICE 5. ICE PREPARATION: PLACE THE LIME AND SUGAR INTO A 16 OZ TALL GLASS AND MUDDLE (MASH). NOW ADD LEBLON (CACHACA) INTO YOUR MASH FILL GLASS WITH ICE AND YOUR SIERRA MIST OR SPRITE, USUALLY ABOUT 6-8 OZ. STIR YOUR DRINK AND ENJOY YOU MIGHT EVEN DANCE. IF YOU WANT TO ADD SOME FLAVOR TO YOUR DRINK CUT BACK ON THE SPRITE AND ADD SOME JUICE.
