BRIXHAM
Life in the colourful fishing town of Brixham has always centred around the harbour which is home to the world famous Brixham Fish Market and full-size replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship the Golden Hind, which warmly welcomes group visits. A leisurely stroll around the picturesque and historic harbour is a very popular thing to do with many independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to enjoy. In season, ferries are available to take visitors across to Brixham from Paignton and Torquay and an excellent local bus service is also available.
Just a 15 minute drive from Brixham is the National Trust Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s beloved holiday home. Whether your group loves gardens, history or crime-writing, Greenway’s team will be happy to help arrange your visit. For groups up for a stroll, Berry Head Nature Reserve is walkable from Brixham and rewards you with panoramic sea views and if you are lucky sightings of dolphins.
