Shiver me timbers! Meet the pirates hanging out at Pirates Bay Adventure Golf on Paignton seafront then head to Brixham to explore the full-size replica of the Golden Hind, a splendid galleon that takes pride of place in the harbour. And now your little sailors have found their sea legs, how about getting out on the water with a seafari or ferry trip, or try kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding?

For indoor fun, little ones will love the soft play at Wizz Kidz in Brixham and splashing around at Riviera International Centre Leisure Pool in Torquay. Fancy coming face to face with a dinosaur? Head to Dinosaur World on Torquay harbourside.

Children and families will find exhibits and activities aplenty at Torquay Museum – visit the amazing Time Ark, solve The Curse of the Mummy’s Hand and find the Lost City of the Ancients. In Babbacombe, the Model Village entrances and delights kids of all ages.

And when you’ve done all that, there’s still paddling, rock-pooling and sandcastle building to enjoy. Just don’t forget the Devon ice cream!
