Timing is flexible; the winner can arrange directly with the donor for either winter or summer salmon run.

Another exceedingly structured, concentrated Syrah from this estate that will require patience. Scorched earth, chocolate, mineral, black pepper and assorted black fruits give way to a full-bodied, beautifully proportioned 2012 that has fantastic purity, solid midpalate concentration and building tannin.

2013 Bionic Frog Syrah

Out of the gate this wine reveals quite savory aromas of stems, fire pit, soot, black olive and light flowers. The flavors are intense and tightly wound, showing a lot of structure along with elegance. It’s a flat-out stunner, showing grace and power as well as a hyper-extended finish.

Ben Mann is a Bellingham native. Although he has traveled and lived in places as diverse as San Francisco, Antarctica, Bali and beyond, he has called the Pacific Northwest home since 2000. Ben identifies as a Visual Artist, allowing for the widest spectrum of creativity and employability throughout his thirty years of creating illustrative art.

The painting created for the evening is one of a kind. The lucky winner of Ben’s painting will receive a personalized addition to the artwork.
