Frank Dahlquist has dedicated his career to advancing firefighter education and training. A multi-discipline instructor with the Washington State Patrol Fire Training Academy since 2011, he has taught courses up to the Fire Officer II and Instructor II levels while also serving as a live fire instructor. His instructional expertise extends to Wildland Operations.

With extensive experience in firefighting, emergency management, and personnel leadership, Frank Dahlquist is a recognized authority in fire service operations. Rising from volunteer firefighter to Fire Chief, he developed expertise in workforce planning, labor relations, and strategic management. A certified instructor, Frank has trained firefighters across structural and wildland disciplines.

For Frank Dahlquist, firefighting is a lifelong calling. With more than 20 years of service, Frank has advanced through every rank, gaining expertise in operations, training, and administration. His work has spanned Wildland Operations, fire apparatus design, and firefighter education, all driven by a commitment to protecting communities.

Adventure and service have always shaped Frank Dahlquist’s life. He has camped across the U.S., backpacked through Europe and New Zealand, and honeymooned in Australia.

With expertise spanning Wildland Operations, labor-management relations, and structural training, Frank has led teams through some of the nation’s toughest challenges.

Frank enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling with his wife and children.

Frank Dahlquist brings over two decades of experience as a firefighter, instructor, and executive leader. Rising through the ranks from volunteer firefighter to Fire Chief, he has built expertise in operations, labormanagement, and education. He is certified as Fire Officer II, Instructor II, and Task Force Leader, among other credentials.
