The Park District of Franklin Park is excited to welcome campers ages 2 to 14. If you are looking for a high-quality, affordable camp program, look no further!
For Discovery and Teen Camp, please register your child according to the grade they are going into for the Fall 2026-2027 school year. For Tot and Sunshine Camp, your child must be the correct age for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds by the first day of camp. Friend and family grouping requests are not permitted.
Tot and Sunshine Camp sessions are four weeks long, and Mini Session is three weeks long. Discovery and Teen Camp sessions are two weeks long, and the Mini Sessions are one week long.

To accommodate families, we offer three registration options: Monday through Friday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (M/W/F), or Mix and Match (M&M). M&M allows you to pick three days of camp instead of the traditional M/W/F. For M&M, the days must remain the same for each session and be submitted upon registration.
We will permit a one-week rebate once per summer and per child if requested at registration to accommodate family vacations.
Park District camp counselors, group leaders, and managers participate in an extensive training program to provide a fun and safe camp. Specific staff-to-camper ratios are always maintained. The staff-to-camper ratios are as follows:
• Kindergarten & under: 1 staff to 6 campers
• Grades 1-3: 1 staff to 8 campers
• Grades 4-8: 1 staff to 10 campers
• Resident registration opened Tuesday, March 3. Please ensure your residency pass is up to date, or you will not be able to register.
• Non-resident registration opened Thursday, March 5.
• To plan activities and maintain staff-to-camper ratios, we ask that you register for each session by 5 pm on Friday before the new session begins. You may register after this deadline only with permission from the Program Manager, provided space exists. In addition, registering after this deadline will delay your child’s start date at camp.
• Day of camp registration is not permitted. If you register your child after the session has begun, your child may start camp the following day once their emergency and medical information is submitted via ePACT.

Discovery Camp goes on a field trip once per session. Teen Camp goes on a field trip twice per session. The days of the field trips vary depending on site availability and schedules. Tot and Sunshine Camps do not go on field trips. Camp schedules, including field trips, are available on the Park District website. Please check the camp schedule for field trip dates and locations.
The Parent Manual, which includes more detailed information, such as what to bring to camp, is available on the Park District website.
The Park District of Franklin Park welcomes participation in all programs and activities by individuals with disabilities and special needs. The Park District works cooperatively with West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSRA) to support children who enroll in Park District programs.
If your child may need additional support due to a disability, don’t hesitate to contact the Park District in advance – call 847-455-2852 or email srivera@fpparks.org. Our recreation team and WSSRA will evaluate each request to determine what accommodations or aid your child might need. Participants requesting inclusion services must adhere to the Park District of Franklin Park’s Behavior Management/Code of Conduct.
The Park District of Franklin Park utilizes ePACT for camper emergency contact information, pickup authorizations, pertinent medical information, and medication dispensing authorization. Within 24 hours of registration, an email invitation from member.support@epactnetwork. com will be sent to the parent/guardian to complete ePACT forms. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive the email within the 24 hours. All fields and forms must be completed and submitted a week before your child’s first day of camp. Campers must have updated ePACT forms submitted by drop-off on their first day of camp.
Staff understand and respect the differences in all families and will do their best to accommodate individual circumstances. In divorce or separation situations, Park District staff will not act as an intermediary between parents and will contact the police if necessary. All custodial parents/guardians should be listed as parents/guardians in ePACT. If requested, we can email both parents/guardians.
In cases where the child is subject to a court order (i.e., Custody Order, Restraining Order, or Protection from Abuse Order), a Certified Copy of the most recent order and all amendments must be uploaded into ePACT.
Without a court order on file, both parents will have equal access to their child as stipulated by law. The Park District cannot limit the access of one parent at the request of the other parent, regardless of the reason. Staff will contact the police should a conflict arise.
The Park District of Franklin Park reserves the right to dismiss a camper from our camp program if they do not demonstrate appropriate behavior. Please review the Park District of Franklin Park’s Behavior Management/Code of Conduct
Camp staff and managers take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of wrongdoing when camper misconduct occurs. A prompt resolution will be sought for each situation. If the risks cannot be eliminated, consequences will result and may lead to suspension or dismissal from camp. Parents/Guardians must acknowledge the Park District Code of Conduct in the camper’s ePACT forms. For more information on types of misconduct and consequences, refer to the Parent Manual and/or ePACT.
If a parent or guardian intimidates, threatens, or harms their child, another child, a staff member, another parent/guardian, or damages Park District property, he/she will be subject to suspension from Park District property under the Park District Control Ordinance. The length of suspension depends on the violation.

The Vipers organization has been a proud affiliate of the Park District of Franklin Park for over twenty years. The Franklin Park Vipers are also a proud affiliate of Leyden High School. Clinics and practices focus on ensuring that players are well-versed in the fundamental skills of the sport. Experienced players are trained to enhance their pitching, hitting, and game knowledge while newer players can focus on fundamentals. Indoor clinics and practices start after registration and will continue until the weather permits us to practice outside (April 1st). Our season runs from mid-April to the end of June, consisting of 16-24 games. In addition to the regular season, we have participated in Sunday leagues, summer tournaments, Fall Ball, and winter training.
For more information, contact the Viper Hotline at 847-350-9118.

Participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been developed to make Park District programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. Additional rules may be developed for particular programs and athletic leagues as deemed necessary by staff. Participants shall:
• Show respect to all participants and staff
• Refrain from using foul language
• Refrain from causing bodily harm to other participants and staff
• Show respect for equipment, supplies and facilities
A positive approach will be used regarding discipline. The Park District of Franklin Park reserves the right to dismiss a participant. Each situation will be evaluated on its own merit.
From time to time, the Park District has had the challenge of dealing with children registered for Park District programs whose excitement level and enthusiasm were beyond the capabilities of our staff. In the event that such a child is involved in any of these programs, the staff will notify the child’s parents that they are not capable of adequately supervising such a child. The Park District will gladly refund the prorated portion of any fees. The Park District has made every effort to hire capable staff for all programs, but there are occasions when, for the good of the entire program, the Park District must insist that parents remove unmanageable children from the program. Your cooperation as a parent will be greatly appreciated, and your understanding will allow the Park District of Franklin Park to better serve all youth.
With your child’s best interest in mind, we ask that parents do not remain in class, or bring other children into class during any of our youth programs, unless specifically approved by the instructor. This may interrupt the participant’s attention and inhibit the establishment of peer relationships. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
The Park District staff has made every effort to prepare this brochure as accurately as possible. However, errors can occur. Circumstances may require that adjustments be made to programs, fees, schedules, etc. The Park District reserves the right to make any such adjustments. The Park District apologizes for any inconvenience these errors or adjustments may cause.
Personal items brought to the Park District of Franklin Park facilities are the responsibility of the individual. We recommend that items be secured in lockers when provided at facilities.
