Registration opens April 7 for residents and April 9 for non-residents. Make a splash at the Pool on Pacific with a pool pass, special events, and swim lessons for beginners through advanced swimmers. Our swim programs are designed to help everyone build confidence, improve skills, and have fun in the water. Summer Camp is back and packed with activities that spark creativity, encourage teamwork, and give children the chance to explore new interests while making lifelong memories. Throughout the season we are hosting a variety of special events, bringing the community together. From family-friendly festivals to programs and activities for all ages, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

What’s New and What’s Next

Franklin Park’s first dog park is moving closer to opening in 2026. In May, the project bid will be advertised and the Park Board anticipates selecting the lowest qualified sealed contractor bid on May 26. The anticipated project completion is the end of September. The Park District will have a formal grand opening when the park opens. Check our website and follow our social media channels for updates and announcements.
The finalized plans call for engineered wood fiber surfacing on both the 8,200-square-foot area for large dogs over 25 pounds and a separate 2,850-square-foot site for small dogs under 25 pounds. The park will have a double-gated entry for safety, benches, a human and dog water station, waste bag station with trash/recycling receptacles, and dog agility obstacles. In order to use the park, owners will have to register their dogs at the Community Center at no cost. More information regarding rules and registration information will be shared as we get closer to opening. Below is a photo of the park location before construction.

El primer parque para perros de Franklin Park está cada vez más cerca de abrir en 2026 En mayo se anunciará la licitación del proyecto y la Junta del Parque anticipa seleccionar la oferta sellada calificada más baja el 26 de mayo. La finalización del proyecto está previstaparafinalesdeseptiembre.ElDistrito de Parques realizará una gran inauguración oficial cuando el parque abra Consulta nuestro sitio web y siguenuestrasredessocialesparaactualizacionesyanuncios.
Los planes finales incluyen una superficie de fibra de madera diseñada tanto en el área de 8,200 pies cuadrados para perros grandes (más de 25 libras) comoenunáreaseparadade2,850piescuadradospara perros pequeños (menos de 25 libras). El parque contará con entrada de doble puerta para mayor seguridad, bancas, estación de agua para personas y perros, estación de bolsas para desechos con recipientes de basura y reciclaje, y obstáculos de agilidad para perros.
