Description: In the midst of a changing culture, the strength of God in preparing us to be His witnesses never wavers. Join us as we study Peter’s epistles as he teaches disciples to not only remain engaged in the world, but to stand firm in the Lord in our various relationships despite calls from the world to conform to a different standard. This is an interactive class with a mix of textual discernment, thoughtful discussions, fellowship and prayer.

Description: The Prayer Ministry at FPC is excited to announce the launch of a Moms In Prayer International group. Our initial meetings will be held for one hour on the first Tuesday of June, July, and August, with weekly sessions beginning in September.
This is a wonderful opportunity to praise God and support one another in prayer. In small groups of 2-3, each member will pray a provided scripture over one child and one specific need of that child, as guided by the Holy Spirit. We will also pray for the First Presbyterian Children’s Center over the summer.
Moms who participate often say it’s their favorite hour of the week! We hope you’ll consider joining us. If you require childcare, please let us know.

Description: The Modern Worship Band leads the music in our Modern Worship Services each Sunday. They also prepare music for other events, such as worship nights and special services. The Modern Worship team is always open to new members including adults, college students, and advanced high school students. The ability to learn based on reading chord charts and listening to recordings is very helpful, as well as prior experience being in church bands/ worship teams.

Description: The Sanctuary Choir performs weekly in traditional worship services and prepares music for major liturgical events and community concerts. In July, rehearsals shift to Sunday mornings at 10:40 AM.

The videos share what Christians believe and let people share their own views without and wrong answers or judgment. Alpha is a chance to invite someone to learn about Christianity in a friendly, non-threatening way.

Description: FPC is one of the host sites for KinMart, an event designed by FPC partner, The Alliance, to help local foster and kinship families as they go back to school. On August 3, we will welcome preregistered families to FPC for an enjoyable and cost-less “shopping” experience for school supplies. You can help in two ways: donate school supplies by July 28 or volunteer the day of the event. Description: CAM’s annual Back-to-School Program helps students with necessary school supplies. Donors can “adopt-a-child” by purchasing items on their supply list and packing them in a new backpack. Pray for Mission Trips & Internships
Description: We are excited to announce that a total of 44 individuals will be participating in mission trips and internships from May to August 2024! Please visit our Mission Trip Blog, fpcsanantonio.org/mission-trip-updates, for prayer requests & updates.
• Pray that students who hear the gospel this summer would receive it and respond.
• Pray for travel, logistics, provision, and protection for each of these teams and individuals.
• Pray that God would be honored and glorified through each person’s work this summer.
• Pray that ministry partners would be fueled and encouraged through times of rest and care.
• Pray for reliance on and direction from the Holy Spirit through these cross-cultural service opportunities.
• Pray for wisdom, courage, and opportunity to share in spiritual conversations.
• Pray for these opportunities to shape growing vision for missional living after these trips return.

FPC is seeking volunteers to join the long-time ministry of hosting memorial receptions after funeral services of Covenant Partners (members). Join a team that offers support to those in grief and fellowship with fellow volunteers. Commitment is one month per year.
