Joining FPC is a three-part/four step process consisting of attending two classes, meeting with a member of our pastoral team, and finally joining the church during one of our Officer’s Dinners.

Description: Have you ever been asked to lead a small group, Bible study or Sunday School class, but felt illequipped or unprepared? Or, have you ever wanted to hone your skills as a teacher and are looking for the right resources to grow and learn? “Tools and Topics” is a class designed to help us disciple one another. The goal of the class is to equip disciples to disciple one another. In this group we will explore introductions to the Bible, Bible Study tools, theological questions and leadership skills.

The Arthur Gray Jones class has been in continuous existence since the 1920s and acts as a group discussion of the Bible, which we read verse by verse. After we finish Luke, we will pick a book in the Old Testament and will read and discuss it.

Description: Chaplain David Busby will be leading a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) volunteer training class on July 22nd. Attendees will learn about opportunities to serve and become approved TDCJ volunteers. Class is from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM on July 22nd. This is an excellent way to respond to Our Lord’s charge in Matthew 25:31-40, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Contact William Etheredge to register or for any questions. Description: WOC has a variety of women’s circles which meet each month in the fall and spring. Some circles meet in homes, others at church, and many of them have lunch as part of their meeting. Some are Bible study circles, one circle knits and crochets prayer shawls, and another is just for young moms. One circle doesn’t have regular meetings, but provides meals for families with new babies or those recovering from surgery. The Circle of Concern organizes and serves memorial receptions held at the church. Many women are members of more than one circle. Please refer to fpcsanantonio.org/woc to find the dates and times each circle meets, as well as contact information for each circle leader. Visitors are always welcome!
