Description: Amid a changing culture, the strength of God in preparing us to be His witnesses never wavers. Join us as we study Peter’s epistles as he teaches disciples to not only remain engaged in the world but to stand firm in the Lord in our various relationships despite calls from the world to conform to a different standard. This is an interactive class with a mix of textual discernment, thoughtful discussions, fellowship, and prayer.

By delving into this book, we equip ourselves with the knowledge and insights needed to become the wise and dependable mentors our children require. Together, we can lead them towards embracing the life-affirming truths that God has in store for us.

Description: The Modern Worship Band leads the music in our Modern Worship Services each Sunday. They also prepare music for other events, such as worship nights and special services. The ability to learn based on reading chord charts and listening to recordings is very helpful, as well as prior experience being in church bands/ worship teams.

Description: The Sanctuary Choir sings in our traditional worship services each Sunday. They also prepare music for major liturgical observances and present periodic concerts as musical offerings to the larger community. The Choir is always open to new members including adults, college students, and advanced high school students. The ability to read music and prior experience in choral singing is helpful as the choir prepares well over 100 pieces each year.

Women of the Church Monthly Circle Meetings

Description: WOC offers a range of women’s Circles that meet monthly. These meetings occur in various locations, including homes and the church, often incorporating lunch. The Circles serve different purposes, such as Bible study, knitting and crocheting prayer shawls, providing meals for families with newborns or those recovering from surgery, and supporting mothers of young children. Additionally, there is a Literature Circle that welcomes men and a Circle of Concern that organizes memorial receptions at the church. Many women participate in multiple Circles. For specific dates, times, and contact details, please refer to fpcsanantonio.org/woc. Visitors are always welcome!

Fiesta Office Closure & Parking

Church offices will be closed Friday, April 26, for the Battle of the Flowers holiday. Offices will reopen Monday, April 29. The Parking Management Company will be selling parking spaces in our large lot on a first-come, first-serve basis on Friday and Saturday, April 26 - 27. Proceeds from these days will go to support our mission partners, so we encourage everyone to purchase a spot in our lot if you will be downtown for the parades!

Katie McCoy serves as Director of Women’s Ministry at Texas Baptists. She holds a PhD in Systematic Theology from Southwestern Seminary (TX), where she served on faculty for five years. Katie’s research includes the patterns of justice for women in Old Testament laws as well as the intersection of theology, gender, and women’s studies. She is a frequent speaker and writer on women’s and gender issues. She is the author of To Be a Woman: The Confusion Over Female Identity and How Christians Can Respond and contributes to World News Group (WNG).
