Christmas Pageant returns to Sanctuary in full restoration

On December 5, the children of FPC along with a host of volunteers came together to tell this story. I would like to extend a special thank you to the Children’s Committee and the Pageant Director, Rachel Buster, for all your hard work.

Additionally, a big thank you to all of the parents that made sure their children participated! I felt the Lord’s pleasure as we worshiped and it made me think of one of my favorite songs. Contemporary Christian artist, Chris Rice, sings a Christmas song called, “Welcome to our World.” The last lyrics say, “So wrap our injured flesh around You, Breathe our air and walk our sod, Rob our sins and make us holy, Perfect Son of God, Welcome to our world.”

You see, the story of Christmas explained in the Scripture of Luke 2 tells us about a Savior who would wrap our injured flesh around Himself, breathe our air and walk our sod, rob our sins and make us holy. He came to restore mankind to the Father. He came for us, something we could never do for ourselves or find no matter how long we looked, He came for us!

Glory knew Him, glory understood when He broke through this world with a cry as an innocent babe. No wonder the angels broke out in song that night saying, “Glory to God in the Highest and on earth, peace and goodwill to all men," Luke 2:14. Indeed what a glorious night it must have been, to welcome to our world, this perfect son of God!
