Changing Light explores the subtle shift between seasons - the transition from the vibrant energy of summer into the warmer, more reflective atmosphere of fall. As daylight changes in color, intensity, and duration, so too does the way we experience artwork in color, texture, movement, and space. Bringing together a dynamic group of contemporary artists, the exhibition presents a diverse collection of artworks that respond to light in both literal and expressive ways. Abstract paintings layer bold color, gestural marks, and atmospheric textures, while mixed-media works incorporating LED light introduce an element of illumination and movement. A delicate wire hanging sculpture creates a sense of rhythm and shadow, contrasting with richly textured cement on canvas that invites a more tactile experience. The collection also embraces moments of whimsy and play from a spirited rabbit figure to resin sunflowers arranged in an ombré progression of blues, evoking the changing tones of light across a landscape. Together, the artworks move between abstraction and representation, subtlety and vibrancy, structure and spontaneity. Changing Light is a celebration of transition of the way a changing season transforms not only the world around us, but also the colors, shadows, textures, and perspectives through which we see it.
