John Shultz Artist

John Shultz grew up in Plymouth, Michigan, and moved to Ann Arbor after graduating from New York University in 1978 with a BA in Journalism and Photography. He soon opened a photography studio specializing in portraiture. In the late 1980’s, John began to offer photo silkscreens to his customers. This became a popular medium for him and offered him the opportunity to work with color, paint, and composition. John gave up silkscreen portraiture and began working exclusively with oils, pastels, and digital fine art from photos that he had taken from travels around the world.
