Preserved close to its original natural state, Seneca Caverns provides a fascinating guided one hour walking tour through this unique cavern leads you through seven rooms or levels. The largest room is 250 feet in length. 110 feet below the surface, visitors will view “Ole Mist’ry River,” the crystal clear flowing stream, which is part of the vast groundwater system which underlies the surrounding region. The cavern is electrically lighted and an expert guide conduct the one-hour tour. A light jacket and walking shoes are suggested. Tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessi- ble. Carrying children is not recommended.

Featuring a Fostoria-built Allen Motor Car, 1941 Seagraves fire truck, an exhibit of items that belonged to Gov. Charles Foster, an exhibit of items pertaining to the John B. Rogers Producing Co. and other Fostoria related historical items.

Tues.-Sat. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Fostoria, Ohio Glass Association’s Glass Heritage Gallery is dedicated to preserving and illustrating the history of Fostoria, Ohio glass. Fostoria had 13 different plants at various times during the period of 1887- 1921. Most of the 1,000 pieces of glass in the Gallery are on loan from over 100 collectors. Each glass case has signage designating the manufacturer and the name or number of the pattern. Call for special appointments. No admission charge & handicapped accessible. Tours welcome! Sorrowful Mother Shrine 4106 SR 269, Bellevue 419-483-3435 sorrowfulmothershrine.org The Sorrowful Mother Shrine is an inspir- ing place of prayer where God and nature touch. Wild flowers and planted flower beds mingle in the 120 acres of woods and lawns. The center of the Shrine is the Sorrowful Mother Chapel. The Missionaries of the Precious Blood have operated the Shrine since its founding in 1850. On Sun- days and Holy Days priests and religious lead devotional services and processions; they visit with people sharing their joys and sorrows or walk with them praying at one of the many grottos, gardens or Stations of the Cross in the woods.

North St.; Chesapeake & Ohio Station; Toledo & Ohio Central/New York Central Depot; New York Central/Jackson St. Tower.


LE&W Depot 128 W. North St., Fostoria 419-435-1781 fostoriairontriangle.com This 1880’s LE&W (Lake Erie & Western) depot is one of Fostoria’s historic railroad buildings still in existence. The Fostoria Rail Preservation Society (FRPS) is the current owner of this passenger depot. Railroad historic items are on display for the public to view.
