There is nothing uite li e the start of a new school year to bring a sense of renewal and purpose to communities li e ours. As most will notice, some things loo a little different than they did last fall. The most obvious change is the absence of Coach Mar Dixon on the Cougar sideline. We will miss his energy, intensity, and presence on the field and wish him good health and happiness in retirement. oo ing forward, there are many reasons to be excited about the team that Coach Cam A ers has built and there is no doubt that great things are in store for the 2022 Cougars. The band program at Pulas i County High School has been a symbol of success and pride for the high school and residents of Pulas i County since the first notes were played in fall 1974. The program has received many awards ranging from marching band and concert ensembles, to the indoor winter performing groups. The instrumental program at Pulas i County High School has produced thousands of fine musicians over the years. It has been through the efforts of those musicians that the program at PCHS has been named a Virginia Honor Band 15 times.
