Hello, friends! It’s me, Elayna and my baby brother River.

I have had such a fun year watching River grow and learn.

Mom and I have taken him out with us several times. One of the first things we did with River was go to the White Hall Museum to look at the beautiful nativity scene they had set up at Christmas. River loved all the pretty lights and different colors. I can’t wait to go again this year.

One of my favorite things to

do in White Hall is go to Dairy Queen for an afternoon ice

cream. When I have been a

helper to mom, she takes us

to DQ for a sweet treat. I love

sitting in the booth and eating every drop of my ice cream.

While dad is at work, I help mom runs errands. One of the things we had to do was have our tires rotated at Dane’s Automotive. The nice people at Dane’s got us right into their shop and while they fixed our tires, we sat in their lobby and watched T.V. Before my show was over, they had our car ready to go and we were back on the road.

Mom found River a great daycare at Terry’s Tots.

She says when he is there, he is safe and well cared for. They specialize in making sure that kids get nutritious meals and plenty of sunshine everyday.

Now it was time to pick up mom’s medicine at Doctor’s Orders Pharmacy. Mom tells me all the time how important it is to stay healthy and taking the medicine the doctor gives us is one way to make sure of that. Sometimes, when we go to the counter, the nice person behind the register hands mom a sucker for me when she gives her the medicine.

Oh no! Dad tripped over one of my toys and hurt his ankle!

Mom had to take him to Jefferson Regional to make sure that he wasn’t hurt. She trusts them to make sure our family is well taken care of in an emergency. Luckily, they said his ankle is only sprained and not broken. I need to remember to keep my toys put up when I am not playing with them so no one gets hurt.

Now that River is here, it is time to open him a Kids’ Club Account at Fairfield Community Credit Union.

I have been putting my money in my savings account since we opened it last year.

I like taking my money into Fairfield because the nice people at the counter always tell me how much money I have put in my account and what a good saver I am.

After all the errands are complete, it is time for my dance class at Powerhouse.

I love coming to dance class and seeing all my friends and learning from my teacher. Dancing is a fun way to stay healthy and, it’s just really fun!

On Saturdays when the weather is nice, I get to go to Crenshaw Springs water park.

White Hall is so fortunate to have a cool place with water slides and a splash pad. I can’t wait for River to be able to splash with me too.

All that fun in the sun makes me hungry. I love meeting DeeDee and her mom at El Parian for a girls lunch. They have so much yummy food there. DeeDee and I love chips and salsa and looking at all the pretty colors in all the artwork in the restaurant.

DeeDee and her mom left Blue Ink Real Estate just before lunch.

They are working with their real estate agents to find a new house that will work for them.

DeeDee’s mom says Blue Ink Real Estate makes house shopping fun.

When lunch is over, we make our way to Music Warehouse to look for dad a birthday present.

I was so surprised to see so many beautiful guitars and instruments they had to offer. Dad is a great guitar player and mom and I picked him out a brand new red guitar.

I was so excited to get home and give dad his present.

He loved it. Since it was his birthday, he and mom went on a dinner date to Colonial Steakhouse. Dad says it is so nice to be able to get a big, juicy steak for a special occasion. Colonial Steakhouse makes a great meal any day.

Sunday is one of my favorite days in White Hall.

The entire family gets up, has breakfast and goes to Family Church. I love putting on my pretty clothes and going to see all the smiling people at church.

River goes to the nursery while I go to my big girl class.

Dad tackled our debt with a little help from Mrs. Kathy at Havner Law Firm.

Mom said that will take our worries away so we can enjoy our life. I am all for loads of fun in life.

We did some spring cleaning at our home.

Johnson’s Metal Recyclers helped us make sure that we disposed of all the things we no longer needed the right way. It is important to do our part in recycling and the great people at Johnson’s make the process easy for anyone.

For the stuff we decided to keep, we needed to storage room. Metal Mart gave us a great deal on a metal storage building we put on our property.

The metal building will keep all of our stuff safe and out of any type of bad weather that may come our way.

Mom told Dad that it was time for us to update some of the flooring in our house.

The bedroom carpet in mine and my brother’s room was getting old. Mom knew exactly where she needed to go, Showcase of Floors! Mr. Brad, the nice gentleman that owns Showcase of Floors, helped mom find the perfect luxury vinyl plank. I can’t wait to see the new floors in my bedroom!

Mr. Brad told us that his family has owned Showcase of Floors for 40 years! On the way home, Mom couldn’t stop talking about the wonderful service she received and the large selection of products to choose from at Showcase of Floors.

Mom said we needed some new furniture since we are a family of four now. We went to Oliver Furniture and mom found exactly what she wanted. They carry name brands such as Ashley, Corinthian, Steve Silver, Southern Motion and many more. I got to sit on lots of comfy chairs and couches.

Dad says using local businesses as much as possible is smart. Thats why we use Pine Federal Credit Union to pay for our home.

I like going to the Credit Union with mom and seeing all the busy people working and helping customers.

Some guys came to my school and talked about how important keeping our personal information safe is. Razor Shred has on-site paper and document shredding services to help protect your personal and confidential information.

My mom and dad really think about the future a lot.
