ince opening in the spring of 2019, Crown Hall has become a sought-after venue for all major events — especially weddings. From the rehearsal dinner all the way to the ceremony and reception, its clean, modern atmosphere is a sophisticated location you can reimagine to fit your exact wedding vision. Having spared no expense, Sarah’s venue will have you thinking “Mad Men” meets divine chandeliers and an exquisite floor fit for royalty. With sky-high ceilings, the design is so on-point it could be in any major city (and it is certainly welcome in ours). Just a short shuttle ride from multiple hotels and Airbnb’s and boasting an on-site space for you and your party to get ready, this venue is brimming with convenience. Building on her own experience, Sarah (who also owns Bay Gourmet Catering) has perfectly executed her initial vision, having created a sleek, clean slate within her venue that she knew from Day One future brides would fall in love with — a vision she saw come to life after hosting her first wedding in June of 2019. “We believe our place is the best venue because it's one big party room where everyone can see you cut your cake, do your toast, and have your first dances,” Sarah says. “To see my dream become a reality and watch the first group come in and have such a grand time was pure job satisfaction. I love watching everyone dance on the beautiful floors and watching the house lights go down when the band is really ready to party with the guests… that's always a moment,” she adds. 58 ACCESS Magazine / March 2020
Boasting more than 6,400 square feet of usable space, The Crooked Crown, Crown on Broad, and Crown Hall make up the three semi-separate sections of the property that allow ample elbow room for you and all your guests, and with all areas completely covered, there is no need for tents or rain plans — always a safe bet when it comes to Mobile’s unpredictable weather. As for parking, they’ve got that covered, too. “We built this place with events in mind, so the entire place is Cat 5 wired with an in-house speaker system, and the
lighting is amazing, especially after the sun goes down,” Sarah says, adding that the oversized door allows for a grand arrival and a fun exit at the end of the night. Brides can also check another item off their “To-Do” lists when booking Crown Hall, as catering is part of the deal. As mentioned earlier, Sarah is also the owner of Bay Gourmet Catering, one of the most well-known caterers in the area for more than 19 years. Now with Crown Hall in the mix, all brides will work with Sarah and her team to finalize the food and bar details. Though the venue offers a menu, Sarah notes that it is not set in stone, and insists “We can meet any request.” All food is prepared in the on-site kitchen, so it is guaranteed to be fresh for your wedding. “We have been catering for almost 20 years and started when people didn't have coordinators,” Sarah says. “We did it all and still help brides navigate the whole thing. Having the event space, food, bar, some tables and chairs makes this a one-stop-shop with the exception of the flowers, cake, and photographer.” So, if you’re in the market for veils and gowns, maybe consider a Crown while you’re at it.
