Derell Bedingfield Jr is a 6’2’, 190lb outside linebacker from Cleveland, Ohio. He attends Benedictine High School, which is one of the most prestigious college preparatory Catholic schools in Ohio. Bedingfield is long, athletic, and quick off the edge. He’s an excellent run defender with solid cover skills. He is in the class of 2022. He has held a 3.3 GPA while attending Benedictine High and is the head of the Black Cultural Organization where they pride themselves in accepting and teaching everyone about the impact black culture has had on society. Bedingfield has been 3rd team All-Ohio in Division 2 and led the team his Junior season in tackles and sacks. He is also a part of the Track & Field team at Benedictine. What motivated you to get into playing this sport? I didn’t want to play at first, but being the only child for about 8 years and then growing up around all females, football gave me the brothers I never had.

How was the playing atmosphere with the new restrictions? The new restrictions helped more of the mental aspect of the game. You need to have discipline to not hang out with your guys or go on vacations. You had to be mentally strong.

Even though next season isn’t very close yet, is there anything you are looking forward to or wanting to work on yet? I honestly just want to get my scholarships so my family doesn’t worry about college tuition. I want to work on my pass coverage the most.

What’s your favorite thing about your position? My favorite thing about Outside Backer/Edge Rusher position is I get to sort of pick the biggest guy and make him look silly trying to chase me around every day.

What would you say are your main strengths on the field? My strengths are that I’m self motivated on the field. Usually, guys need music or trash talk, I go out and can do my job in a full or empty stadium. My hands and feet are quick and coordinated, and I can come around an edge with velocity that most guys can’t.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you? I would probably be described as a guy who would run through a brick wall for his guys. A hard nose, blue collared man who’s disciplined and confident yet remains humble.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Ohio? In Ohio you get the toughest guys to play every week. They play in hot autumn and the toughest winters year in and year out; we have grit. So to play these guys every year is a rush.

Three words to describe yourself? Persistent, if i want it I’m going to try my best and get it. Courageous, I’ll take the steps others won’t in order to achieve a certain goal, whether for football, a job or in my daily life. Gaudy, I’m a good person and player and you’re going to know it if you meet me, I brighten up a room.

What hobbies do you have outside of sports? Outside of sports, I’m a casual person, I don’t party or do big events. I like to chill with family and friends most of the time.

How do you balance your schoolwork and football? I manage school and football by always remembering I am a student-athlete. I have to be a great student in order to be an athlete.

What would you tell younger players who want to play high school football one day? Some advice to younger guys would be to always ask for help. It can get tough sometimes, don’t be afraid to ask a teacher for help on work or ask a coach to spend some extra time in film sessions. Always be open for new opportunities, the best ability is availability.

Do you have a favorite NFL or College Athlete? My favorite NFL player is Jerome Baker, Miami Dolphins OLB. We came from the same neighborhood, same little league team and same high school. The same colleges that pursued him are pursuing me, so I feel as if divine intervention has made our relationship possible right now.

What is one thing you can’t go a day without? I cannot go a day without my sports shows, whether Undisputed or First Take, I’m tuned in whenever I can.

Jackson Holman is a class of 2023 Wide Receiver/ Tight End for Mission Viejo High School in California. At 6’3 and 210 lbs he has great size at the receiver position. Using his size and athleticism he is able to get open and make space for his quarterback to find him. As a freshman he was able to blow by defenders and be a deep ball threat with his speed, but he was also not afraid to go up and grab a contested ball over a defender. He has no problem getting out in front of the run, using his size, and making blocks in the open field. He has also had experience on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive end and has a good feel for the game and getting to the quarterback or filling a lane to stop the run.

What is your favorite hobby outside of sports? I like to hang out with friends or play Xbox with my brothers when I have time outside of school and football.

At what age did you begin playing football? Who motivated you to get into playing this sport? I started playing flag football around 9 years old and tackle football around 13 in middle school. My dad and brothers really motivated me to play football. My dad played in the NFL and both of my brothers have played in college.

What does football mean to you? Everything. I’ve grown up with football since my childhood, and I don’t know what life would be like if I didn’t have football.

What has football taught you about yourself or life? Perseverance especially with COVID. Having the season canceled and having to just push through to brighter days.

With some of the restrictions on sports in California how have you been staying in shape and ready for the upcoming season? Without practices, I’ve been working out with my dad about 5-6 days a week. Lifting, doing track workouts,etc. just trying to get bigger, faster, and stronger during the whole year that COVID has been going on.

How do you balance your schoolwork and football? Football is around 2:30-5:30, so I do homework during school and after football. I’ll usually be done around 8pm so I can spend time with my family and watch some TV. Do you have a favorite NFL or College Athlete and what elements if any do you take from their game? Devonta Smith the WR from Alabama. I would want to have the fluidity and ease that he has to get open and down the field in games. The game just comes so easy to him.

What’s your favorite social media platform to use and why? Snapchat because I have all my friends on there, but Instagram is a close second since you can see what everyone is doing and you can also talk to them.

What’s been the highlight of your football career so far? Last Year during the Freshman team season, we had a game to win the league. That game I really took off and I had 6 catches for 235 yards and 4 Touchdowns. Helping my team win league was a huge highlight for me since I’ve only been playing since middle school. I want to do more of that at the Varsity level the next 3 years.

Tell us who you are? I’m just a guy from Irvine, California. I just want to prove what I can do. I feel there have been stereotypes and labels put on me like I’m too tall or slow, and I want to change that narrative. With my family being so involved in football, I just want to prove to them I’m the best sibling and compete with my brothers. I want to be the best in my family.

Do you have any nicknames? If so, why/how did you get it? Yeah my friends and family call me Jack-Jack, because I was born around when the Incredibles movie came out and I guess I resembled the baby, and it’s just stuck.

How do you think your coaches and teammates would describe you? Respectful, hard-worker, maybe quiet because I don’t talk much. I try to lead by example and get my work done everyday.

What would you say are some of your strengths? Off the field my strength would be academics. I am an above-average student, and I work hard in the classroom. I am pushing for a 4.2 GPA this semester. On the field I pride myself on my ability to get open and make contested catches, but the biggest thing I want to improve on is my releases.

If you weren’t a football player what do you think you would be doing instead? I’d be trying to pursue a D1 Scholarship in track or swim since I grew up doing those also.

If you weren’t a WR/TE what position do you think you would play? Either at OLB or DE. I played a little DE my freshman year and I feel I was good at my speed releases and getting past the Tackle to sack the Quarterback. And in the passing game I am lengthy and can block passing windows at OLB. What are some goals you have for yourself this season? My goals are to have around 550 yards and around 7 Touchdowns during spring ball this year.

What would you bring to a college team? And what are you looking for in a program?

I can bring a lot to a college team. I can go downfield and catch a ball, make contested catches, I’ll block, and I feel I am extremely coachable. As far as what I am looking for in a program is staff, facilities, and a coach that will put me in the best position to succeed.

Andrew Chamblee is a class of 2022 defensive end out of Maumelle High School in Maumelle, Arkansas. Chamblee is 6’7” and weighs 280 pounds. Chamblee is a solid run blocker who finishes blocks well. He is solid in his pass protection and has quick feet for his size. He is also a part of the basketball team at Maumelle High and has a 3.2 GPA. At what age did you begin playing football? I began playing football when I was four years old.

What motivated you to get into playing this sport? I just wanted to be great at something!

What does football mean to you? Football is my life. It has been my life really ever since I can remember I’ve had those pads on.

Even though next season isn’t very close yet, is there anything you are looking forward to or wanting to work on yet? Just getting to play with those people who put work in all the time for the last ride.

What’s your favorite thing about your position? My favorite thing is that I can just be a dog and real nasty at my position.

What would you say are your main strengths on the field? I would definitely say setting the tone, being a big role player on the field, and just having that edge set for my quarterback.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Arkansas?

I’d have to say those Friday sunsets before the game always hit differently with your brothers and the pads waiting to kick the other team’s butt.

Three words to describe yourself? Three words to describe me are athletic, lengthy, aggressive.

What hobbies do you have outside of sports? I like to play the game a lot just to hang with the boys and get away from things.

How do you balance your schoolwork and football? Well, when practice comes we get the work in, and then back to the books.

What would you tell younger players who want to play high school football one day? Never stop. Your enemies win when you stop or give up. Chase that dream until you can’t anymore cause it’s all a mentality.

What is one thing you can’t go a day without? I can not go a day without food!

Do you play any sports outside of football? If so, how has that made you better at football? I play basketball and run track, track made me faster and basketball made me quicker.

Outside of sports, do you have any hobbies you like to do? I like to play video games and fish.

What your favorite pre-game song to listen to? My favorite song to listen to pregame is Rebel’s Kick It by NBA Youngboy.

In your opinion, what is the best aspect of your game? My speed and my ability to play in multiple positions.

How do you think Covid-19 impacted your junior season? It had a positive impact; it gave me more time to lift and get conditioned.

What are some goals for your senior season? I want to throw for 2,500 passing yards and rush for 2,000 yards. Also, in every game, I want to have 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Finally, what are colleges going to get out of you? Colleges are going to get a hard, competitive worker who has a good attitude.

Describe a time where you were going through adversity, how did you get through it? My sophomore year I wasn’t really playing a lot, but I just kept going hard in practice and waited for my time to come.

Omari Evans

Omari Evans is a Class of 2022 Athlete for Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas. At 6’0” 170 lbs., Omari has the perfect build to be able to play on every aspect of the football field. Evans plays Quarterback and Wide Receiver on offense and Free Safety and Cornerback on Defense. In addition to playing both sides of the ball, Omari acts as a punt returner and has scored on numerous returns.

His excellent vision allows him to find space as a wide receiver, make plays on the defensive side of the ball, and see open holes in the punt return game. His vision isn’t the only thing that helps him excel. His speed is unmatched, as he ran a 4.4 40-yard dash. Omari shows out on the gridiron as well as in the classroom posting a 3.5 GPA. Omari Evans is a part of the next wave of universal players that will take over college football and eventually the league.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start? I was watching my friends play in third grade, and then I started in 4th grade.

What life skills has football taught you? Football has taught me how to be tough and humble.

What position would you consider yourself to be the best at? At the next level a receiver.

Would you consider yourself a RAC (Run After Catch), Possession, or a go up and get it type of receiver? I can go up and get it or run after catch.

As a Wide Receiver, what is your favorite route to run? Why? My favorite route is a go route because I am faster than everyone else, and I have the opportunity to score.

Would you rather have the corner press up, or play off of you? I prefer the corner to press up, so I can beat him off the line quicker.

How do you think playing corner/free safety makes you a better receiver and vice versa? Because I know what the corner is thinking when they are guarding a receiver.

As swiss army knives like Lynn Bowden and Taysom Hill take over football, do you consider yourself to be a part next wave of universal players? Yeah, a lot of people compare me to Taysom Hill.

What current or past player, do you think your game mirrors the most? Lamar Jackson, I have the ability pass and run out of the backfield.

Where have you improved the most as a player from last season? My biggest improvement was my arm. I’ve just been working on it all summer, got my arm stronger and I got bigger as well, so that helped out a lot as far as size and strength.

Describe your idea of a perfect game or a perfect play? A perfect game to me is driving the ball down the field every play. Not just in the back field, but when everyone is doing their job, getting first downs or five or plus yards on every play.

Let’s say you’re graduating and the second string QB is asking for some advice as he gets ready to become the starting QB. What advice would you give? I would say to not be afraid. Enjoy the moments as they come because it’s his turn now and he has to take control of the team.

What are you most looking forward to your senior year in high school? I’m looking forward to advancing to the championship game. That’s what I want to do, I want to win a championship football game.

What do you love most about football? The excitement, the crowd, the players, and just competing.

Starting quarterback of his General Trass Panthers in Lake Providence, Louisiana and the embodiment of a true leader, Williams Jr has a total of 26 touchdowns in his past two seasons with 16 this past season alone. He was named 2nd Team All-District. Let’s not forget the 118 points, over 1200 passing yards and 1000 rushing yards with an average 76 passing yards per game, and over 130 pass completions on 250 attempts. He has a national rank of 88 and stats that surpass the national averages, according to MaxPreps. No wonder he was named Overall Player of the Game five times last season.

You were invited to the LGF show The Randall Corner. How was that for you? Were you excited, nervous? I was nervous at first, but once I got up there and started talking about football, I just got into it. Mr. Randall made me feel comfortable, and talking to him about football made me comfortable once I got started.

If you had to compare your playing style to anyone in the NFL or College who would you compare your style to? I would say Russell Wilson because I like the way he leads his team and takes on big moments. He’s very effective with his arms and his legs so they really don’t know what to expect from him.

If I were scouting players for a starting QB position, what would make you stand out among the group? My leadership skills. I’m a big leader. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get the win at the end of the day.

Do you prefer a dominant defense or dominant offense game?

I would prefer offense because I’m a quarterback. I love being on the field. I love to make the crowd go wild. I’m just an all-around person. I like the big moments in the game.

Do you feel like you could play on defense at any position?

Oh yes ma’am. Safety. I actually played some this season. I would only get in as safety when I was needed, but I was willing to do my part to help out the team.

When did you start playing football? It started with baseball and when I moved to Louisiana. Then I got into football and I couldn’t imagine not playing. That was around when I was 5 or 7.

Who has had the most influence in your life? Tough but easy question, I’m going to say my dad. He joined the military in high school and fought for our country, then he taught me how to be the best I could be in all aspects of life.

Are there any players you try to model your game around? I admire Drew Brees, but I want to create my own legacy more than anything. I always look at people who made it and try to take something from them to try to create my legacy.

What makes you love the game of football? The fact that it’s a battle of who wants it more and that it’s a challenge every single play. My boys are going to give their all every play and so will I. Do you have a dream school that you’d like to go to? Definitely LSU, when the opportunity came, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s been my dream since coming to Louisiana.

What was your favorite play to run this past season? Either a QB run or an RPO because I know that our opponents have trouble with those, and then levels.

Ethan Frey is a Quarterback prospect in the class of 2022 and is from Rosepine high school in Rosepine, Louisiana. Ethan has elite size for his age, coming in at 6’5” and 225 pounds. He uses his frame to his advantage when looking over his offensive line, almost always making the proper read. He can also deliver an accurate pass to any part of the field using his impeccable arm strength. Coming into his junior season, Ethan made it clear that he worked all offseason to get stronger and faster, and he did just that. In addition, the quarterback can run the ball where he can kill the defense with his speed or run through defenders with his toughness making him a dual-threat. Not only is he a beast on the gridiron, he is also a beast in the classroom with a 3.8 GPA.

Going into next season, your senior season, what are some personal and team goals you would like to accomplish? I’m going to start with team goals because the team always comes first, I would want to win the state championship, win district, and go undefeated. As far as personal goals, I want to get my footwork better, get a stronger more accurate arm, and then break every record I currently have.

Tell me about your first season as a starter for Rosepine and how you dealt with the stress of being THE guy. It was some big shoes to follow. I was nervous and stressed every game, but I had some great coaches, so it was fun and stressful. Always have to start somewhere and I’m thankful to start there.

Nico Davillier is a 2022 linebacker/defensive end that plays for Maumelle High School in Maumelle, Arkansas. The junior stands at 6’5” and weighs around 270 pounds. Davillier is a very versatile player on and off the field. He has made it known that he will do whatever it takes to help his team win. A few things I’m looking for in a football program would be a great coaching staff, a home-like feeling, and somewhere that makes me a better man in the end.

What motivated you to get into playing this sport? My whole family played football and my dad handed me a football when I was younger, and I fell in love with it.

What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me because it allows me to hold myself to a higher standard, builds character, and it has made me humble in life.

What has football taught you about yourself or life? Football has taught me to never give up in life or a game. It has also shown me what kind of character I have and what kind of person I am.

How do you prepare for an upcoming game? I prepare by getting a good amount of rest, drinking plenty of water, stretching, and watching films.

How did you even get into football? Is there anything specific that motivated you to keep playing? When I was little around 5 years of age, I played on a flag football team and fell in love with the game. my family always told me I would be good at football, so I kept playing and now I’m glad I did.

While only playing 8 games last season, Scott was able to make countless highlight plays while being lined up all around the field. This defensive back is the definition of versatile as we saw him take snaps at almost every defensive back position, similar to a Tyrann Mathieu. The star safety is listed at 5’11” and 180 pounds but plays much bigger. Scott continues to get better by the day and will be a force to be reckoned with at the next level.

What are some hobbies you have outside of sports?

I love to hang with friends and play video games. My favorite game is Madden and GTA. I’m also excited for the new college football game because I will potentially be on a game and that is big.

What are some goals you want to accomplish before you graduate school? In athletics and academics? Academically, I want to graduate in the top 10 in my class.

What are you looking for in a program? A versatile defensive back that can play any position, I can play in the nickel, I can play in the box, I can come down and hit, I can cover and defend. Really just an all-around player. In a college program, I want to go somewhere I fit. I want to be able to compete for a spot and play as a freshman. I want to be somewhere that is comfortable for myself and parents.

What is one thing you cannot go a day without? Social media, I’m on there a lot.

Have you had to adapt the way you have worked out since the pandemic? If so, how? Not really because my trainer owns a gym and I work with him every day. We lift, run, and work on my craft.

I started playing football at the age of 13.

What motivated you to get into playing this sport? My motivation is the people around me and the goal of being a Hall Of Famer.

What does football mean to you? Football means alot to me! It’s a part of my life. I live for football. No matter how bad adversity is set upon me, I’m able to find a way to love football the way I should.

Talk about Miami Edison’s season. What would you say was your favorite part of the season? Even though the season was short it was still a great season for me. My favorite part was the big game in our 2nd round playoff against Chaminade- Madonna. A really tough school to beat.

What’s the biggest thing that you learned? The biggest thing I learned is becoming a leader when no one else is leading.

How was it adapting to new restrictions? It wasn’t difficult. I really got through the process easy because I was still able to do what I can do.

Even though next season isn’t very close, is there anything you are looking forward to or wanting to work on yet? Things I’m working on are my weaknesses, my stats, and me being announced All-State and All-Dade player.

What’s your favorite thing about being a defensive back? My favorite thing about being a defensive back is really shutting down one side of the field, as well clamping the stars Receiver.

What would you say are your main strengths on the field? My main strength on the field is my physicality. I am able to go against any immense receiver, as well run with them at my top speed. As well my Football IQ and route concept being able to predict the play easily. In addition, my aggression and quickness to be a dog causes trouble for the offense.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you?

Coaches describe me as a ballplayer and hard worker because of the things I put in action. They put me as a type to not talk about it but show it. I am a coachable person.For my teammates, they look at me as a leader and inspirational because I push them to pass their limits until they are at their end.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Florida?

Favorite thing about playing in Florida is the elite competition all around me. I could always find players like me competing for a greater purpose, that pushes me to be on top of everyone.

Falk has a universal build that allows him to play any position on the offensive line, but his versatility isn’t the only thing defensive coordinators have to worry about. His ability to climb to the next level and block up field is his specialty. Linebackers always have to watch out for Falk pulling around the edge; if they don’t, they are going to be on the ground as he had 34 pancakes in 7 games. Even at such a young age, Alec has a great understanding of the game and in the classroom posting a 3.4 GPA. Look out for Alec Falk to be a key part in his team’s success this season.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start? I chose to play football because I grew up all around it, from my dad playing and watching it my whole life. I started in 6th grade and have been playing ever since.

What life skills has football taught you over time? Football has taught me how to put in hard work and to be determined, as well as the importance of teamwork and leadership.

Where do you prefer the Defensive lineman to line up on you? Why? I prefer them to line in a 5 technique when I’m at tackle, because it’s easy to get my hands on them.

As an Offensive Lineman, what’s your favorite play? Any play where I get to pull around and hit linebackers.

I see you can be lined up as a tight End as well, have you caught a pass? I started as a blocking tight end for my two first years of high school, and then I was moved to the offensive line my junior year.

I played as a guard in my sophomore year, and then I played tackle my junior year.

What’s your favorite spot to line up on defense? I like to play off the edge in a 5 technique, my favorite move was a stiff arm.

How has discus and shot put made you a better football player? For discus, you have to focus on all the little things and pay attention to detail, so your throw won’t be altered. I transition this to Football every play.

Cinaden Veltkamp is a PRO style Quarterback prospect the 2022 class and plays for South Warren High-

school in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Caden has impeccable accuracy to go along with a cannon for an arm.

With this, he can fit the ball to whatever part of the field he wants. Standing at 6’5 and 215lb, Caden has amazing size for the position. He uses his height effectively to see over his O-line and make the correct read. He may be listed as a PRO style Quarterback, but he is no statue in the pocket. As a three (potentially four) year starter, He has shown progression to not just be able to stand in the pocket and make the throw, but by his junior year, Caden was all over the field. Whether he was taking advantage of running lanes or scrambling to improvise for his team, he proved that he has the running ability to burn the defense on the ground or through the air with his arm talent. Caleb Merritt is an athlete in the class of 2022 for John Borroughs High School in Saint Louis, Missouri. Merritt stands in at 6’0 and 175 lbs.; this build allows him to excel anywhere in an offense. This is shown in his play as he not only pounds the rock at running back, but also slices through defenses at wide receiver. At either position, his speed and agility are what defenses fear the most, as he ran a 4.5 40yard dash. Although he shows off his exceptional athleticism in game, he credits his success to his football IQ. His intelligence isn’t just on the football field though, he also does great in the classroom with a 3.76 GPA. With this combination of skill and smarts, Caleb Merritt should be an exciting player to watch in the future.

When did you start playing football and what got you into it? I started when I was 6 or 7 years old, I watched the NFL with my dad and started loving the sport.

Favorite moment of your career so far? My favorite moment is to come in the future.

What current or past player do you think you play like the most? Antonio Brown and Odell, both of them are super elusive and win routes outsmarting the CB rather than just outrunning them.

Do you like playing inside or outside? I like the outside more because there is more space to run; you have more time to analyze the defense. It all depends on the game plan though.

Noah Southern is a do-it-all player, in the class of 2021 for Carl Junction High School in Carl Junction, Missouri. Standing at 6’2 and 205 lbs., he has a build that can play any position on the field. Southern plays both sides of the ball for Carl Junction and produces results wherever he is. On defense, he plays middle linebacker and acts as a threat for any offensive coordinator as he recorded 151 total tackles this season. Although he is listed at MLB, Southern is a swiss army knife on defense from playing incredible pass coverage to blowing up plays in the backfield. If his defensive feats weren’t enough to impress, he also a nightmare to guard at receiver. This season he recorded over 800 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns while averaging 15 yards per reception. Either offensively or defensively, Southern will have a positive impact on your team.

When did you start playing football and what got you into it? I started playing in kindergarten flag football. My dad signed me up so I played.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? I would put my pads on, have my helmet in my right hand and say a prayer. I would then tap my helmet on the ground twice and put my helmet on.

What current or past player do you think you play like the most? Defense Troy Polamalu, because I try to impact every play.

Do you play any sports outside of football, and what do you think you add to your game? Baseball and wrestling, Baseball helped with being tough mentally, since you will fail quite a bit and you have to clear your head. Wrestling helped with tackling.

Do you have a quote or anything that pushes you daily? “We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know who holds tomorrow” Favorite moment of your career so far? Junior year on offense, ran across the middle, caught it with one hand, trucked one kid broke some tackles, and scored.

My favorite moment with the team was going out to eat after a win.

What motivates you to get up and train every day? Imagine my future self and imagine how my future self would see himself back then.

Who has pushed you most in your football journey? My dad, he would pass to me when I was young. In high school, it was my linebacker coach, Coach Schultz, and later it was Coach Duley.

What do you think sets you apart from other athletes? Work ethic in sports and in school, and his faith, everything I do is in God’s hands.

What do you think the best part of your game is? Open field tackling, no matter who it is I can tackle them in 1 on 1.

Would you consider yourself a run stuffer or a pass coverage guy? Pass coverage, not the biggest guy but I’m quick and I have good ball skills.

Favorite type of play to run? Man on the running back and pick him off.

Will Stallings Jr. is a hard hitting safety who has a knack for filling any running lane and stopping the other teams running back in his tracks.

He has great side to side movement and has the speed to keep up with any receiver and make a play on the ball. On the other side of the ball as a running back he has the ability to be patient enough to find the open hole and gain yards and has big play potential anytime he touches the ball.

Any defender who gets in his way may think twice once he gets moving donwfield. Overall on both sides of the ball he is a playmaker and impacts the game with his speed and physicality.

What hobbies do you have outside of football? Mostly lifting weights.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start? My dad played, and I loved it since I was a kid. It’s my dream sport and I honestly loved the contact and physicality of it. I began playing when I was 5 years old.

What has your training/ workout schedule looked like over the pause in play for california high school football? Monday through Sunday I would either lift or do speed work.

How do you balance schoolwork and football? Good time management and I wake up at 5:30am to get a good workout in and then just going to class and asking questions.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned from playing football and from your coaches? To stay physical when I’m on the field and that football is a very mental game. Football has also taught me to work hard.

Explain a time you faced adversity? How did you get through it and come out the other side better? COVID this past year, it took a season away from me. It was hard not playing, but I was able to workout and work harder with the break and get better.

What are your biggest strengths? My physicality and being a good teammate.

I look at where the Linebackers are lined up and imagine my line and where to go.

William JD Stewart is an Outside Linebacker in the class of 2022 and plays for Greenville Christian Highschool out of Greenwood, Mississippi. JD, 6’2 and 225lb, is a bonafide run stopper who comes off the line with speed and anger. He keeps his shoulders square and his eyes up in order to come off the block and stop the run. He has many moves in his bag in order to shed the block such as his bull rush, which he uses to beat the O-lineman a majority of the time.

Even when he is not capable of getting to the QB, he has the instincts to read the eyes and put a hand or two up in order to block the pass.

Over his three (about to be four) years of starting, JD has shown a nice progression in his game. From getting into the backfield in every play as a freshman, he now can offer great sideline to sideline range in the passing game. Overall, JD Stewart can provide nice value all over the field. From stopping the run game to stopping the passing game, he is sure to be a menace as well as a leader on and off the field wherever he goes. While JD is a great football player, he is also a great student with a 3.0 GPA. What are some of your hobbies outside of the game? I have to say working out or hanging out with my friends.

What NFL player would you compare your game to? TJ Watt and Khalil Mack because I see myself dominating the edge or dropping into coverage just like them.

Marcus Shaw is a Middle Linebacker from New Iberia, Louisiana and attends New Iberia Senior High. Shaw is listed at 5’10, 220lbs and is in great athletic shape to play multiple positions including his primary position of Linebacker. According to his tape, Shaw has a great nose for the football. He is consistent on his reads and has a great sense of pursuit once the ball is snapped. He is a proficient tackler and is a key leader on the defensive side of the football. With all these skills molded into one athlete, Shaw was able to achieve a 1st Team All District distinction in his hometown. Shaw has stated that his role model is Ray Lewis and the comparison is quite clear. He’s an excellent athlete with a great football IQ, athletic tangibility, and prominent leadership skills. Marcus is the epitome of a grit linebacker who doesn’t back down from a challenge. He made an immediate impact on his high school football team as a leader as well as a player and was able to help propel his football team to a winning record in their district this past season. Add Marcus Shaw to the list of players who will be playing on Saturday because this kid is special.

What did football teach you about life and yourself in general once you began playing? It taught me how to lead people. I can use the skills that I use on the football field in real life.

Who or what has been your biggest motivation or role model in sports? Ray Lewis, I play linebacker (as well as DE) so he was a great role model to me growing up. I enjoyed watching Ray Lewis play football.

Do you have a favorite memory from your playing career in high school? Yeah, it was the first game last year. It was 25-27, they needed to go for 2 on the goal line and we needed a stop. They ran the ball and I made a game saving tackle to help my team win the game.

Other than football, are you involved in any other sports or activities in school? If so, what have you gained from these activities that could benefit your life? Yeah, I Powerlift. It helps me stay in good physical shape and helps me stay conditioned during and after football season.

As a linebacker, what is it like to be the leader of the defense? Have you been able to bring any of those leadership skills from the field to your everyday life? You have to make sure that everybody knows what they are doing and that we’re all on the same page and once they see that you’re doing the right thing, my teammates are going to follow along as well. What can you tell me about your First Team All-District season and what led up to you earning such a distinguished award? I worked hard to earn it. Kody Finley is a Wide Receiver prospect in the 2022 class and plays at Ponchatoula high school in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Kody, brother of current LSU QB TJ Finley, is 6’5 and 200 pounds.

He has incredible high-point abilities to go up and get the ball over his opponent as well as incredible hands to catch a wide variety of passes thrown his way. He combines both abilities to be a monstrous red-zone threat. Outside of the red zone, He has good route running abilities to get open, and the hands to secure the catch. Kody is already a hard person to tackle due to his frame and toughness, but also has some yards after catch ability to make him a true threat all over the football field. Kody Finley has the ability to play on Saturdays, but more importantly, the smarts to get into any school with his 3.5 GPA. When did you start playing football? I started with soccer in the first grade, and then got into tackle football in the third grade.

250 pounds. Jackson is a very versatile player on and off the field. He seems to pinpoint where the action will be, and he always finds a way to stop the opposing team from making big plays. With a 3.8 GPA and ACT score on the way, the athlete shows that he can handle balancing school and sports.

What things are you looking for most in a football program? I think a very important part of a football program is a team that has a great sporting and academic tradition. Whose coaching staff is dedicated and has a tradition of the highest sportsmanship.

What motivated you to get into playing this sport? I have been playing football since I was about five years old. I think I enjoyed the competition and challenge that football gave me, and it’s something that has stuck with me.

What would you like to major in? I plan on majoring in Pre-Med. What’s been the highlight of your football career? In my sophomore year, I was injured and could not play a game against Lynden, this ended with Lynden beating Steilacoom 56-47. Later that year we met Lynden in the semifinals. I had returned by then and we shut them out 42-0 for the first time since 1979, I was then named WAIA Athlete of the week.

What type of things do you do in your offseason to keep yourself in shape? I take advantage of the football workouts that my team sets up every summer as well as taking initiative and working out on my own.

What has football taught you about yourself or life? It has taught me both sportsmanship and tenacity. Winning is important but how you win is more important.

mani Givens is a Running Back prospect in the class of 2022 and comes out of Woodlawn High in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Standing at 5’8 and 193 pounds, Amani is a successful powerlifter in another life. With maxes such as a 550 squat, 350 bench, and a 300 power cling, he shows incredible strength and pairs it nicely with his 4.5 40 time. Amani is at his best when he can lower his head and run through you to the endzone. However, he has three down back capabilities as he can stay in the pocket to pick up blitzes, run the ball of course, and more importantly, catch the ball out of the backfield for big gains. Givens is much more than a spectacular athlete, he is a leader on and off the field who excels in the classroom with his 4.25 GPA. When did you start playing football? I started playing when I was six or seven.

Who got you into football? My dad and Walter Payton. Watching my dad play got me into it, and watching Walter Payton run the ball hard got me into playing hard like I do now.

Who is your biggest influence? Bo Jackson, he could really do anything. He had speed, he had the size, he was powerful, and he was very explosive. He did not just play football, he was very versatile.

Did you start out at any other position? I used to play linebacker as a freshman. I can still play linebacker, but they want the height to go with it.

What would you say are some of your strengths? Not one person is going to be able to tackle me, and when I see the hole, I can explode real quick. I see it, I go through it.

What NFL player would you compare your game to? Saquan Barkley, not only can he run, but he can also catch the ball too. We both have big legs, and even though he has got big legs, he is very shifty and elusive just like me.

How do you prepare for an upcoming game? I try to eat healthy and light like salads, fruits, and a lot of water. I try to stretch to stay loose for the game too.

rylan Green is a safety prospect in the class of 2022 from Lafayette Christian academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is a dual sport athlete who not only plays football, but baseball as well as an all-district center fielder. Baseball runs in his family, as his cousin is Major Leaguer Marcus Semien. This athleticism seamlessly translates to the gridiron where, at 5’11, 175 pounds, and a very high football IQ, Brylan Green makes the safety position look easy. From zone coverage to man, he puts the receivers on lockdown while also using his ballhawk skills to rack up six interceptions last season. He also provides major support in the run game using his quickness to plug up any holes in a hurry.

Lafayette Christian also used Brylan in Special Teams where he had one kick returned for a touchdown. All-in-all, putting him on the field will always be the right decision. Brylan Green may be disruptive on the field, but he’s anything but in the classroom with a 3.57 GPA. When did you start playing football? I started playing football when I was around six or seven and fell in love with it.

Did you start out playing any other position? If so, what was the transition like? The first time I ever played DB was in my freshman year. I was always a Running Back and Wide Receiver.

Technique wise, I needed work. My athletic ability helped, but once I got comfortable with the position, it got pretty easy.

Who is your biggest influence? I would probably say my parents. It was not the athletic part of my life; it was growing up and them engraving in me how to do things I needed to on the football field and to carry it there.

What NFL player would you compare your game to and why?

Honestly, I can’t really compare myself to anybody. Some people would say that I’m honey badger 2.0 though. We both play fast, have good IQ, and are ballhawks.

What is your favorite aspect of your game? For me, my favorite aspect is being three steps ahead of everybody on the field, I always tell my teammates where they need to be. Me knowing I can outsmart you on the field is a big thing to me.

Going into your senior season, what are your team goals along with personal? A team goal is definitely to win a 5th straight state title, and a personal goal would be to double all of my stats from last year.

What would you want every scout to know about you? Definitely my height, a lot of coaches think I’m too small. Besides that, it would be my love of the game. If they pursue after me, they’re going to get a dog.

If you had the choice, would you rather a 4th down TFL or an interception? The 4Th down tackle for loss. Especially in a close game because everybody is going to feed off of it.

arson Willich is a class of 2022 inside linebacker for Blue Springs High School football in Blue Springs, Missouri. Carson is 6’1 and weighs 205 pounds with room to add more weight to his frame. Carson aggressively flies to the ball and has a high motor on the field, along with great anticipation skills as he routinely accelerates to the line and into the backfield to rack up the tackles for loss. Willich also takes great angles when pursuing the ballcarrier in the open field and is a strong tackler. In addition to his defensive skills, Carson shows great versatility and plays the h-back position on the offensive side of the ball. As an h-back, Carson is an aggressive blocker and showed reliable hands when being used in the passing game. Off the field, Carson has a 3.8 GPA which shows he is capable in the classroom as well.

What is your favorite lesson that you have learned in your football life? My favorite lesson is learning how to overcome adversity and stay resilient through those moments.

How would you describe your game? I am a fast, long runner and a physical player who plays with great energy from start to finish on both sides of the ball.

Who do you model your game after? The player I model my game after is Ray Lewis. I admire his physicality and his strong leadership in every moment.

What made you want to play football? I just gave football a shot and liked it from the beginning, so I continued to play. In Missouri, most people do not start playing tackle football until second grade, but I started in the first and just played up.

What is your favorite aspect of playing linebacker? My favorite aspect of playing linebacker is racing to the ball and anticipating the snap count. I like the challenge and how impactful I can be in the outcome of a game.

How would you describe yourself as a person? I am intelligent person and a great leader who is willing to do anything to help others in need. I also have great integrity.

rew DeArman is a class of 2022 outside/middle linebacker for Bowie high school in Arlington, Texas. At 6’1 185 lbs., Drew has a great build to either stop the run or drop back in coverage. The former corner translates his pass coverage skills to the linebacker position; this allows him to be versatile in any defensive scheme. Drew’s elite speed gives him the ability to make tackles sideline to sideline, proof of this is in his 4.6 40-yard dash.

The dual position athletes tackling technique is perfect, stopping offensive players in their tracks. Drew is exceptional on the field and in the classroom with a 3.2 GPA! Expect to see a lot of big plays from Drew DeArman in his senior season.

Would you consider yourself to be more of a hard hitting or a conservative tackler? I would consider myself to be a little bit of both.

I see you often play off the edge and go against tackles, what’s your favorite move to get past them with? I don’t necessarily have a special move, but I use a swim move and then I go under the offensive lineman.

What do you look for as soon as the offense snaps the ball? I look for the quarterback and the offensive tackle to see what they are doing. If the tackle blocks down, I know it’s most likely going to be a run play, if he goes into a pass block, I drop back into coverage.

As a Linebacker, what’s your favorite blitz to run? I like contain blitzes off the edge to control the line of scrimmage.

What gap do you prefer to shoot? I prefer to shoot the C gap.

Do you see yourself more as a pass coverage or a run stopping linebacker? I do both really well, but I like to drop back in coverage and play the ball. Before I became a linebacker, I played a little corner and safety and then I got too big and switched positions.

In your film you play both middle and outside linebacker, which one do you prefer to play? Why? Again, I like both positions, but I like playing outside linebacker more because I have had more reps at it.

At the linebacker position, would you consider yourself to be a leader?

If so, what are some challenges you face as one? I do consider myself being a leader, one challenge that I faced is that my dad was my football coach. People always thought I didn’t deserve what I given, so I have to prove it to them every play.

I think Isaiah Simmons mirrors my game the most.

Javae Gilmore is a safety/linebacker hybrid in the class of 2022 and plays for Amite High School in Amite, Louisiana. Javae comes from an athletic family as his older brother, Amani Gilmore, was committed to the university of Kentucky as a dual-threat quarterback before transferring to the University of North Texas Mean Green. With this athleticism, he plays both the safety and linebacker positions with great energy and brings good cover skills to blanket the opponent. When going after the Running Back, he keeps his eyes up and glued to the ball in order to use his great block shedding and tackling abilities to get after it for the tackle for loss. When at the safety position, Javae can play both coverages effectively while using his leadership abilities and high football IQ to direct his teammates to their right position’s pre-snap. Amite made good use of his athleticism, playing him at wide receiver, tight end, the aforementioned safety and linebacker positions, as well as the lead blocker in goal – line situations. No matter what side of the ball Javae Gilmore is on, he is sure to bring his energy and heart into every play.

What made you get into football? It just runs through our family, my brother played, and I followed after him. We have always loved and wanted to play the game.

Keshlon “spidey” Jackson is a Wide receiver in the class of 2022 and attends Lake Charles College Prep in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Keshlon is a little undersized at 6’0 and 178, but he does not let that stop him. In fact, he uses it as fuel for his fire. He brings great top-end speed to the position as well as shiftiness, which was very prominent in his tapes. Both of these attributes help him become a deep threat with impeccable yards after catch ability. Besides his receiving skills, Keshlon also offers good run blocking from the position and can help on special teams by being a return specialist. Overall, he is an explosive Wide receiver who can take the top off of defenses as well as be a pesty guy to get down. Jackson does all of this while being a leader not only on the field, but in the classroom too with his 3.5 GPA. What are some of your hobbies outside of football? I really do not have any hobbies, besides working out to be honest.

His elite pass coverage is what has made him known around Missouri as he recorded 17 pass deflections through 10 games! Hutson displays his incredible open field tackling ability in his film as he often lays the wood on opposing receivers. His work on the football field may be impressive, but his work in school is equally amazing, as he achieved a 4.0 GPA! Ollie gordon

llie ordon is an electrifying running back in the class of 2022 for Trinity high school in Euless, Texas. At 6’1 210 lbs., Gordon’s build allows him to be effective in any offensive scheme. Although his build gives him success on the field, we have to attribute it to his football IQ and ball carrier vision as well. Gordon’s ability to find the open hole gives him a competitive advantage at any level of football. When he finds open field, which is very often, he is nearly impossible to tackle one on one. He proved this his junior year, posting 2,083 rushing yards on 209 carries. Gordon was able to frustrate defensive coordinators by averaging 9.96 yards per carry, or nearly a first down every time he touched the ball. Running the ball isn’t the only thing Ollie is good at, he can also catch the ball out of the backfield. He can line up as a wide receiver or expose the defense through screen passes. His speed helps him create issues for defenses wherever he is lined up as he ran a 4.4 40-yard dash.

Gordon excels on the football field and in the classroom posting a 2.9 GPA. Gordon is definitely a player to look out for in his senior year.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start?

I started playing football around the age of 4, because it was my favorite sport.

At 6’5 200 lbs., the senior tight end possesses an incredible build at such a young age. Omari can line up anywhere on the field, creating mismatches wherever he is. His versatility as a tight end isn’t the only thing that creates issues on the field, he also specializes in route running. Because of his impeccable footwork and agility, linebackers have extreme trouble guarding him in the passing game. Don’t let his size fool you, or you might pay, as he ran a 4.7 40-yard dash. uinton Conley is a class of 2022 student athlete at Pembroke High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Standing at 6’5 and 205 lbs., his build has made him an absolute nightmare to any defense. With his height and athleticism, it makes it nearly impossible for defenses to stop him; this is on full display in his film where he often jumps over opposing players and makes incredible catches. His height is not the only thing that defenses have to look out for, he is also faster than anyone on the field. He even ran the same 40-yard dash time as Dallas Cowboys rookie star receiver CeeDee Lamb, at 4.5 seconds! This combination of size and speed has made his name known all over the state as he received the honor of being an All-State Receiver last year. His work on the football field is not his only impressive feat in high school, he also achieved a 3.2 GPA! Conley has shown what he can do so far, and we should definitely be excited to see him in his senior season next year.

Favorite route to run? I like the dig route, I think I can always win those, whips and china routes as well.

Would you consider yourself a physical, speed, or route running specialist? Physical, with my releases I get more physical than others.

Favorite skill move to do in open field? Depends on the situation.

How would you rate your blocking ability? I put my blocking ability really high, with my physicality, I take pride in blocking whoever.

Billy Sanford is a class of 2022 athlete for Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas. Sanford primarily plays on the defensive side of the ball in the linebacker and safety positions. He has the ideal build for this linebacker/defensive back hybrid at 6’1 185 lbs. His raw physicality and ball skills allows him to make plays all over the field. Sanford can either make the hard hit, causing fumbles or pick the quarterback off and take it to the crib. Billy isn’t just a physical specimen though; he also has a great understanding of the game. His vision helps him recognize the play and adjust accordingly. Billy may be a star on the field, but he is also one in the classroom with a 3.0 GPA. At the end of the day, who is someone you look up to? I look up to my mom.

Wentric Williams III is a running back for Liberty High School in Liberty, Missouri, in the class of 2022. Standing at 6’0 and 185 pounds he has a great build for a halfback that can do it all. With his speed and quickness, which he credits to running track, he seems like a player that is impossible to tackle in the open field. His impressive speed and agility are displayed in his film along with his 4.5 second 40 time! His speed isn’t the only thing to credit for his incredible play; he also shows his ability to expose defenses with his great ball carrier vision. If all this was not enough, he can also break any tackle that is thrown at him as he averaged 6 yards per carry! Although his talents on the gridiron are impressive, he also shines in the classroom, posting a 3.6 GPA. Williams is approaching his senior season and is an exciting player to look for in the future.

When did you start playing football and what got you into it?When I was 8, my father put me into it because he played and I was really athletic.

Favorite moment of your career so far?This past season in a playoff game, we were down one score, 38 seconds left, 30-yard line, I got a handoff and broke loose while breaking tackles and looked into the crowd and my teammates.

enny is a running back in the class of 2022 from Mission Viejo High School in California. Watching some of Kenny’s tape, he is fast and has the ability to outrun the other teams defense. When he runs he can move left to right with ease and shake a defender. His side-to-side quickness and athleticism help him when a lane gets filled and give him the ability to jump step and find a new hole to run through. After he gets through the line his speed and acceleration help him get away from defenders and outrun them once he is past them. Kenny is a fast, twitchy athlete and always seems to find a way to fall forward and make something out of nothing when he has the ball in his hands.

How have you been staying in shape during the long pause on football in California? I did a lot of running during the days and worked out with Tony at Saddleback Strength. I also did coach Johnsons’s workout plan.

What or who introduced you to football? From a movie. I’m originally from Haiti. My first time playing football was my freshman year of high school.

What is your favorite part about being a Running Back? The trust my coach and teammates have in me to get the yard or yards we need and the feeling you get when the line and the team create a great play and just being a part of that environment.

If you weren’t a RB what position could you see yourself playing instead?

Safety, I have good side-to-side quickness and I feel I have a pretty good instinct of what the other teams play will be.

What are some of the goals you and your coaches have set for the upcoming season? Doing whatever it takes to win the game, mainly just getting as many yards as possible to help the team win.

Why should a college coach look to add you to their program? Hard Work and Dedication. Where I come from you don’t get many opportunities. Just being a good return on investment working hard helping the coaches not wanting to let them and my teammates down.

How would your coaches and teammates describe you? Energetic. I’ve always felt if you’re not having fun you’re not doing the right sport, so I try to bring that energy with me to practices and workouts hoping it feeds off onto my teammates and coaches.

Do you do any other sports? I used to play soccer, but I do track now. I feel track has helped me a lot with my running form and endurance so I can make long runs without running out of gas.

Do you have a favorite NFL or College Player you look up to? What from their game would you want to add to your game? Leonard Fournette. I’d love to add his power and ability to brush off tacklers. I feel it gives him a good ability to make plays when he can power through a defender and stay balanced on his feet.

What are your biggest strengths? My speed and strength. I’m able to make linebackers bounce off of me, but at the same time with my speed I’m able to run the outside and cut the corner then outrun my opponent.

What is something you’d like to improve on? My elusiveness and shiftiness, and just being able to read the defense and know what they are throwing at me each play.

How do you manage doing schoolwork and football? I try to ask a lot of questions in class and go to the academic support when I need more help.

Have you thought about what you might want to major in? Business. I really I’d like to get into real estate. I used to build houses in Haiti and I’d like to be able to get inventors and help build houses in Haiti.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned from playing football? Everything you do opens an opportunity and you shouldn’t waste the chances you are given.

What does football mean to you? Football is a way to represent who you are. It keeps me grounded as a betterman and teammate. I’m just thankful God gave me the opportunity to play this sport.

What drives you to continue football at a higher level? The chance to further my education, be a better person, and represent God. What is the biggest adversity you have faced and how have you come out of the other side better? Being so new to the game. I’ve had to work at understanding the game and reading defenses, but I have not been afraid to ask questions to my coaches and I feel that has helped me a lot.

Cody is quick for his position and has the ability to make plays on offense by getting ahead of the running back and making a downfield block. On defense he has the ability to disrupt plays using his speed and strength. With his 4.4 GPA, he has shown that he can handle balancing school and sports. He will be an interesting player to watch over his next few seasons in high school.

Obviously with COVID the season was postponed this year. How have you been able to keep yourself football ready with such a long delay on the season starting? Coach Johnson has really held us accountable, along with the upperclassmen. We would call each other and make sure we are on schedule.

Coach Johnson also makes sure that we are on time and in person where and when we need to be.

What are some goals you or your coaches have set for the upcoming season? Just being ready for my junior year. A lot of the Offensive Line is graduating and I need to be ready to be the leader of the line . I’ve also been working to be more consistent on offense and defense.

How long have you been playing football? It’s funny because I began playing flag football around 5th grade, but then I started playing tackle football in the 8th grade and I just fell in love with the game.

What/ who has motivated you to keep playing football? Wanting to go to college and I feel that college gives me a great chance to do that. But also making my family proud, especially my grandfather who has been so supportive of me helping whenever I need it.

Tell us who you are? This is your chance to tell your story? Not to be cheesy, but a Diamond in the rough. I feel like I have been overlooked because I only recently had a size explosion. My Uncle has been like a father figure to me and helped me be who I am today. On the field I want to prove I am the best and should be feared on the field.

What has been one of the biggest adversities you’ve faced? And how have you come out of the other side better? Having to play catch up. All the guys who have come ahead of me have been great for awhile. Another one had been gaining weight as a lineman, but that has taught me mental toughness and improved my work ethic.

Have you always played this position or have you played any other positions? I played Reciever and RB in flag, but in tackle football I have played mostly OT and DT. If you weren’t at the position you are now what position do you think you would be playing at? Why? Tight End because I am taller and fast for my size, plus I am not afraid to take hits.

How has football impacted your life? It has given me a good sense of brotherhood and almost a second family. When I am having a hard time I know I can lead on my teammates to have my back.

What has football taught you about yourself and life? Nothing is ever handed to you. Like my coach says “You have to earn it” and work hard for what you want. I’ve also learned responsibility. Coach Johnson is huge on guys keeping each other accountable and being where we need to be on time and getting our work done. He’s taught us to be good men outside of just good football players.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? Playing Division 1 football.

What NFL or College Player do you look up to? What from their game would you like to add to your game? Quentin Nelon or David Bakhtiari, obviously they are two of the best in the game and get paid like it. What I like about them is they are quiet and just put their heads down and focused on the work. They are also good teammates helping teammates up when they get tackled and just good locker room guys.

What are your biggest strengths on the field? My strength and speed. My legs are strong and I’ve generally been able to move faster than most other Offensive Linemen. At Defensive tackle I feel I’ve been good at eating up double teams and my get off is quick so I tend to catch the other teams O-line off balance and can attack from there.

What is something you would like to improve on this year and get better at? Just getting stronger, but for DT I want to find a few more moves and get comfortable with them. At OT I want to just keep solidifying my pass blocking.

While watching his film it is evident that no defenders are able to keep up with him, which makes sense since he ran a 4.57 40-yard dash. His speed isn’t the only thing DBs fear from Glenn, his route running often ends with defenders on the ground or 10 yards behind him. If all of this wasn’t enough to convince you that he is elite, his stats this season might do it as he racked up 1265 yards and 16 touchdowns! As Brody Glenn enters his senior season, we are excited to see him prove himself and maybe even end his high school journey with a ring.

His versatility on the field is what makes him such a great player as he can block anyone on the field as well as being able to catch any ball thrown his way. His ability to win 50/50 balls is amazing and nearly no defender stands a chance against him once the ball is in the air. That not all though, he is also able to beat defenses overtop with his incredible speed and quickness. Ezard is the ideal do-it-all receiver and with all his potential, we should be excited to see what he can do in the future.

When did you start playing football and why? My dad and my uncle both played at Missouri state, they both coach at my high school now, and ever since I was young, I was just brought up into football.

Favorite moment of your career so far? We have a hog that we run out of before games and running out of it is amazing, seeing all the fans before a big game is awesome.

Our quarterback from sophomore year, Paxton DeLaurent, he showed me how to be a good leader and broke me out of my shell.

Kyron Henderson is a class of 2022 Wide Receiver for Justin F. Kimball High School in Dallas, Texas. Although he is only a high school senior, Kyron possesses a build most receiver dream of at 6’6” 200 lbs. With this build, he is able to be any kind of receiver you need him to be, either going up for jump balls or making a play after the catch.

His versatility as a receiver makes his potential unmatched at the next level. He may be a star on the football field, but his excellence in the classroom matches that with a 3.7 GPA. Kyron Henderson is definitely a player to look out for in his senior season.

wen Pewee is a Class of 2022 Outside Linebacker/Wide Receiver for Cy Park High School in Cypress, Texas. At 6’3” 190 lbs., Owen’s build allows him to be a threat off the edge, but also be a receiver that can make an immediate impact. The hard-hitting linebacker can be seen sacking the quarterback or dropping back in coverage to make a play on the ball. The defensive hybrid consistently gives offensive coordinators headaches with his versatility. Owen proves this in games recording 50 tackles and 3 pass breakups. On offense, Owen can be seen jumping over nearby defenders to make difficult catches. Owen is a leader on the football field and in the classroom posting a 4.3 GPA. Look for Owen to improve his overall game next season as he will have increased involvement in his offense.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start? I really started playing in 7th grade because my first sport was basketball. I chose to play because everyone told me I would be pretty good at it.

ravis Gray is a class of 2022 Left Tackle for Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Colorado. Travis has the optimal build to protect the quarterback’s blindside at 6’8 290 lbs. At first, Travis’s sheer size gives the opposing defensive lines nightmares, but you also have to worry about his technique and knowledge of the game. It seems like any defender Travis gets his hands on they immediately are out of the play. He can either take you to the ground with a pancake or drive you all the way to the sideline; he proved that last season with 27 pancakes. Travis understands blocking schemes that helps him fully utilize his potential. He shows this with his double teams and climbing to the next level.

Gray’s determination to play till the whistle blows and his ability to run block makes him an asset wherever he is playing. Travis can also be asset in the classroom as he had a 4.0 GPA this semester. Expect Travis Gray to develop his game even more in his senior season.

Why did you choose to play football and when did you start?

I started playing when I was 6 or 7 years old. I originally wanted to because my friends played, then I realized my family’s history.

What life skills has football taught you over time? Football has taught me how to be focused, the importance of teamwork, and how to be a leader.

Where do you prefer the Defensive lineman to line up on you?

Why? In a run play in a four technique, it makes it easier for me to get to them and to have leverage. For pass rush, I like a 5 technique so I can get depth.

As an Offensive Lineman, what’s your favorite play? My favorite play is anything that I get to pull and get to the next level.

Have you always played left tackle, or have you moved around?

My sophomore year I played right tackle, but I can be versatile in any spot.

Favorite part about playing on the offensive line? My favorite part of playing offensive line is protecting the quarterback.

What current or past player, do you think your game mirrors the most? My cousin Joshua Gray, we have the same technique.

Does your jersey number hold any significance to you? No, but I did wear my dad’s number for a while.

Do you play any sports outside of football? If so, how have they helped you become better on the gridiron? I played basketball last year, it helped me with my footwork and helped keep me in shape.

Outside of sports, do you have any hobbies you like to do? I like to work out. I liked hanging out with friends before Covid-19.

What is your favorite pre-game song to listen to? I like to listen to “We Ready”.

In your opinion, what is the best aspect of your game? The best aspect of my game is my run blocking.

How do you think Covid-19 impacted your junior season?

Covid-19 postponed a lot of recruiting opportunities. A lot of the camps I was going to get more looks got cancelled. We also missed out on 4 games for the season.

Do you have any goals for your senior season? Improve my overall game, my pass blocking and run blocking, and strengthening my ankles.

At the end of the day, who is someone you look up to? I look up to both my parents, they keep me in check.

Describe a time where you were going through adversity, how did you get through it? I was 320 pounds and I needed to lose weight. So, I changed my diet, worked out every day, to be healthier and get more looks from colleges.

Finally, what are colleges going to get out of you? Colleges are going to get a leader, team player, and a hard worker.

arry Podell is the star center at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. The senior lineman is listed at 5’11”, 280 pounds. Don’t let his size fool you, the young athlete creates big gaps in the run game using his speed and opens the pocket for his quarterback using his instincts. His passion for the game has led to valuable leadership and mental toughness for his team. The young athlete is also impressive in the classroom with a 3.0 gpa. After speaking with him, I am willing to bet that the future is bright for this young man.

Tell us about yourself? Who is Harry Podell? One thing that comes to mind is that I am someone that is always outgoing. I love to work and be around friends and family. I take pride in my work and protecting the quarterback no matter what. A big thing that makes me different is my passion for the game. I embrace competition, as a smaller lineman who is only 5’11” 280, I love competing with the bigger guys in general.

How has the sport of football impacted your life? What has football taught you about yourself or life? It has impacted my life in a lot of different ways. It changed the way I woke up in the morning and helped realize I have things to accomplish. As a teammate I cannot take a day off when I know my teammates are out there working. It gave me the passion to keep going, even though I am under recruited and undersized. Certain things that would push others back, I believe I strive off of.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you? My coaches and teammates will describe me as someone that is always willing to put in extra work. Someone that will lead the line and need to be the one to take charge, someone with a loud mouth and will be a vocal leader.

What’s been the highlight of your football career? A big moment was making Varsity team my sophomore year.

Knowing that my coaches could put me in and I would be there for them. Gaining the trust of varsity coaches and players.

What are some hobbies you have outside of sport? I’m big on Leadership programs, I am part of the ASB program at my high school, I love building stuff. My friend and I are building a boat, taking apart the engine and focusing on the engineering.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I hope to still be pursuing my dream of playing college ball and seeing how far I can go with the sport of football. I plan on starting my own company that surrounds myself with the things I love. Starting an auto-mechanic business and things along those lines.

I know you have a long offseason ahead, but what are some of your goals you wish to accomplish for next season? I want to get stronger in the weight room, lose weight and gain muscle mass. Since I am undersized, a big thing I want to work on is speed and power.

Have you had to adapt the way you have worked out since the pandemic? If so, how? A big thing for us in California, is not knowing if we are going to have a season. It can be hard for some to find motivation at practice. The guidelines the state has provided can be challenging for a young player. We do not know if we are going to play even though we practice every day. Also wearing a mask has been challenging as well.

We are protecting ourselves, but it can be hard to breathe.
