Mike Wilson - President, White County Fair Board of Directors The 2020 White County Agricultural Fair has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise in cases. We were hopeful that by mid-July, the cases would be dwindling. However, that was not the case. The fair board and volunteers spend lots of time planning this event, and it’s very difficult to cancel, but we feel this is the best decision for our county. White County has done a good job keeping the cases at a low number, and we certainly don’t want to slow that trend or be a contributing factor to the numbers increasing. 2020 has been a different year, to say the least. With the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen closings like never before. Work, school, restaurants, movies, and just about any social gathering. I know, for my family, the fair holds a special place in our hearts, and lots of memories have been made. I hope this commemorative edition of the White County Fair Book will give you the opportunity to reflect on years past and bring back those wonderful memories made. Thank you for the support you show the fair, and we look forward to seeing all of you at the 2021 White County Fair.
