Beyond the numbers, we invite all the members of our credit union and our communities to find out what makes our focus here at Fox Communities Credit Union so special.

Over 80 years ago, this credit union began in the Combined Locks Paper Mill, as several workers decided they wanted to help others. They pooled funds together, lent money to those in need, and tracked it all using pencil and paper.

We continue to live by this simple but fulfilling mission of people helping people. This is what the credit union philosophy is built on. We have grown over the years, from a small team of mill workers coming together for a common need, to more than 100,000 members with over 22 locations spanning the Fox Cities, Green Bay, Lakeshore, and surrounding areas.

5 Made It Happen

In 1937, a group of 15 employees at the Combined Locks Paper Mill each deposited $5 to start what would come to be known as Fox Communities Credit Union.

T HE BEGINNING...

So Many Shiny Shovels

Since our first groundbreaking in 1979, we’ve used dozens of “golden shovels” to commemorate the beginnings of branch offices throughout the Fox Valley and beyond.

Our CEO

Greg Hilbert was hired in 1980, as just our fourth employee, at the Combined Locks Credit Union.

From there, he went on to lead the credit union through growth and expansion.

Since 2016, Fox has brought thousands of people together for Bike to the Beat, a chance to cruise a family-friendly bicycle tour, jam to live rest stop concerts, sip local brews, and enjoy snacks from local restaurant vendors. Riders can also enjoy a party at the end of the course. All the cyclists’ registration fees are given to the Fox Cares Foundation to support area non-profit organizations aligned with the Foundation’s mission of fighting hunger and homelessness, and supporting the arts.

Fox celebrates the talent and spirit of our high school theater superstars! At the annual Fox-sponsored Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards, students and their families get to walk the red carpet, pose for paparazzi, and perform on the big stage. The winners, in the lead actor and actress categories, go on to the national competition.

Fox supports making summer nights a whole lot brighter‌and hotter! Flame-throwing burners light up hot air balloons tethered along beautiful waterfronts at the annual Fox-sponsored balloon glow events in Manitowoc and Green Bay. Seasonal open-air igNight markets, backed by Fox, feature mash-up art, life-size games, local food and drink vendors, live art, music, and so much more!

Colorful Skies

Held at the beautiful Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers, Fox Communities and Shoreline Credit Union sponsor one of the largest kite festivals in the Midwest. Thousands come to marvel at the giant show-kites, precision stunt-kite teams flying dual/quad-line kites, and spectacular colorful ground displays. And if that wasn’t enough, families can also enjoy the fireworks show, release of sky lanterns on the beach, and free kite-making for kids!
