CHAMPAGNE MAURICE GRUMIER VENTEUIL, CHAMPAGNE Domaine Grumier is committed to using eco-friendly growing practices and is one of the domaines using the lowest levels of vineyard additions in the whole of the Champagne region. Both of these wines have a signature style that lies in the exceptional quality of its highly controlled barrel fermentation and final blending.

DOMAINE DE PANISSE CHATEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE, RHONE VALLEY WINEMAKER: AXEL AND MARILOU VACHERON The younger generation at Le Clos du Caillou as of 2020 purchased a spectacular property north of the family estate in Courthézon. The winery is made up of a 15th-century farmhouse (the “mas”) and cellars, surrounded by some 16 acres of prime Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, in the heart of lieu-dit ‘La Janasse’ in the far northeast corner of the appellation. With many vines planted in 1924 and terroir that echoes Châteauneuf’s finest, winemaker Marilou Vacheron and her brother Axel are more than well-positioned to craft seriously compelling and characterrich southern blends.

DOMAINE THIERRY MOTHE CHABLIS, BURGUNDY WINEMAKER: The Domaine Thierry Mothe has been a family property since 1887, handed down over several generations. Today his three sons, Jean-Louis, Thierry and Vincent work the 55 hectares of vines. These vines are planted exclusively to Chardonnay, and produce wines that are fragrant, fresh and lively. The winemaking is thoughtful and precise seeking to showcase bright, mineral fruit character with judicious use of French oak as support at best.

FINCA MONTALVILLO RIOJA, SPAIN WINEMAKER: JAVIER MURUA The Montalvillo Estate occupies an extensive hillside on the Sierra de Yerga, at the easternmost end of La Rioja.

The estate is framed by the wide Ebro valley and the sierra. It has 240 hectares of vineyards, 15 of which are organically farmed. And it has four red and seven white grape varieties.
