How long has your business been located in downtown Txk?

What motivated you to choose downtown as your location?

I have always liked the historic sections of towns. To me, it’s so sad when you see them disappear and waste away. There was the beginning of a resurgence of our downtown, and I wanted to be a part of that. Plus, there is a different atmosphere in a downtown area versus a strip mall.

What do you enjoy most about being downtown?

I like the sense of community. All of the other business owners downtown all work together, support one another, and promote one another. And I don’t feel like you get that everywhere.

What makes you the most proud of your business?

I like that customers seem to feel welcome. We do get a lot of returning customers, and we actually get a lot of women who say they hate to shop. They keep coming back because they hate going anywhere else, and that makes me feel like we do our job well. We’re not pushy, and we won’t talk somebody into something just for a sale.

How have you seen Moonstone and Moss grow over the years?

We recently have been able to expand and add another room onto our shop. For me, it’s been a slow and steady process. We get a lot of returning customers, and every bit of growth we get is from word of mouth.

What are your future plans for M/M?

My future plans are to continue to keep what we have going and prioritize growing our online presence.
