DAZZLING BEADWORK IN COLORFUL COMBINATIONS

The Society of the Four Arts brings brightness and color to Palm Beach this fall with the art exhibition, Ubuhle Women, Beadwork and the Art of Independence, opening on November 14. This exhibition showcases a new form of bead art, the ndwango, developed by a community of women living and working in rural South Africa.
“I was attracted to this exhibition because of how bright and colorful the artwork is,” said Rebecca A. Dunham, The Four Arts’ head of fine arts and curator. “Then after I Iearned about the process involved in making these vibrant pieces, I developed huge respect and admiration for the artists and their craftsmanship.” — Continued on Page 5
