Working from original sketches, using collected and plant-dyed fabrics, Sally uses machine embroidery and appliqué to create whimsical lampshades, bowls, and 2D pieces.
Inspired by the beautiful High Peak landscape, my paintings start unplanned, using loose acrylic washes in a watercolour manner then evolving with bold expressive knife work to create a rich textural image.
