The Promise of Paradise

One day, Abu Bakr went to visit the noble Prophet. He was sitting at home and Abu Bakr stood at the garden gate, waiting for permission to enter. The blessed Prophet enquired of another Companion who was waiting to visit. The Companion, pointing towards Abu Bakr with his finger, said, “It is Abu Bakr requesting for permission to come to see you.”

On hearing this, the Messenger of Allah said, “Please tell him to come in, and give him the good news that he has a place in Paradise.”

Smiling, the Companion approached Abu Bakr, saying, “O Abu Bakr, the Messenger of Allah announces that you have secured a place in Paradise!”

Words cannot describe the feeling of joy that bloomed in Abu Bakr’s heart on hearing this news. He felt he was the luckiest man in the world. Praising and thanking Allah in his heart, he walked in and sat at the side of the noble Prophet.
