A New Library for Silverdale

Project Update Volume 4: Bringing the Community Together Every day we are closer to fulfilling Central Kitsap’s need for a new Library.
This journey began over 30 years ago, and it’s been so exciting to help realize this dream. Together we’ve raised over 94% of our $5.5 million goal! There’s
still time to write your name in Silverdale’s history. Until the end of December,
gifts totaling $1,000 or more will be recognized on the new Library’s donor wall.
The Next Chapter As we began construction of the new library, it became clear we had so much Pacific Northwest beauty around us. The high school campus already featured accessible walking trails and multiple sports fields. Expansive windows were included in the library’s design, giving patrons stunning views of Dyes Inlet and Mount Rainier. To create more opportunities for families to move their minds and their bodies, the Friends of the Silverdale Library made another gift: a beautiful outdoor playground! This wonderful addition to the campus truly brings the outdoor spaces together for the whole community. The Central Kitsap School District’s long term vision includes music performance and rehearsal spaces, an administrative center and an outdoor amphitheater and plaza. As Silverdale continues to flourish, we will always find ways to grow alongside our community. Sincerely,
