History in Brief With over 40 years’ experience, Pullmantur Cruises are Spain’s largest cruise line, consisting of ex Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises vessels. In 2006, Royal Caribbean acquired Pullmantur Cruises, bringing the brand outside of Spain. This was a positive move, raising their profile and providing a much stronger and more equipped fleet, along with a wider selection of destinations.

Our fleet is comprised of both mid-size and larger ships, for a more intimate experience and atmosphere similar to that found on many of the resort ships in operation today.

Sovereign and Monarch know each other well from their days together in the Royal Caribbean ranks, but that’s not all they have in common. This large vessel has the same capacity as her sister (2733) and is also exactly the same length. Her 12 decks have lots going on for all passengers to have fun, including a Broadway theatre, casino, games room, solarium, library, nightclub, climbing wall, table tennis court, gym, spa and beauty salon, as well as a variety of cafés, lounges, bars and restaurants.

Formally known as ‘Monarch of the Seas’, Monarch is one of the larger ships in our fleet. She can hold just over 2700 passengers and has a full range of facilities to keep you entertained during your days at sea. From the casino to the disco, the fitness centre to the spa; her 12 decks house plenty of amenities that help this ship live up to her regal name.

Our mid-sized ship Empress, offers room for a slightly more modest 1800 passengers. With a wide range of entertainment and health & fitness facilities, all centred around the striking central atrium, boredom will not be something you ever become familiar with. Do I need to book my customer’s flights separately?

No, all of the cruise holidays featured in our brochure include flights and transfers as standard. If your customer wishes to change their flights or opt for a rail option, just let us know at the time of booking and we will arrange this for you. The prices featured on our website are cruise-only in order to provide flexibility for guests who may wish to depart from regional airports, by rail, or add on a city break before or after the cruise. When booking, just let us know your customer’s preferences and we’ll do the rest.

Are there any medical services on board?

There is always a doctor on board and nursing staff that can see guests during consultation hours or at any time if there is an emergency. Our medical facility is equipped with the most frequently used medicines, clinical supplies and surgery equipment for emergency use.

Are the cruises suitable for pregnant customers?

Guests are permitted to travel with Pullmantur provided they have not reached their 24th week of pregnancy before the last day of your cruise. Pregnant women most take a doctor’s certificate stating they are fit to travel.

What is the currency on board?

Euros. Guests will hardly have to spend a penny however as all our cruises are all inclusive with food and drinks already included in the price. They will be given an id card when they embark so if they do happen to indulge in any extras whilst on board, such as casino tokens, premium beverages or a night at our speciality restaurant, they can simply show this card and we will add it to their onboard account. They can then choose to settle their account by card or cash at the end of the cruise.

Is there a minimum age for travelling?

We are unable to accommodate any babies under the age of 6 months at the scheduled date of departure.

What is the dress code on board?

We want guests to be comfortable so casual is the order of the day. Advise your guests to bring suitable footwear if they are planning on practising any sports, and something a bit ‘special’ for the Gala Dinner such as a cocktail dress for the ladies, and suit and tie for the men. Please note however that bathing suits and shorts cannot be worn in our dining areas after 7pm.

What are the dining arrangements?

There are two sittings for dinner in the main dining room to accommodate different lifestyles and nationalities, at 7.30pm and at 9.45pm (approximate – varies according to ship). On Sea Days, the late sitting is at 10p, Guests can choose their sitting preference at the time of booking.

Alternatively, guests may choose buffet dining which is available in the bar/restaurant between 7.30-10pm.

Is a visa required for the Baltic Capitals cruise?

If guests choose to explore St. Petersburg independently then yes, they will need to obtain a Russian tourist visa before you embark your cruise. However, all of our organised Pullmantur excursions cover the cost and practicalities of a visa and we will deal with all the required paperwork with the Russian authorities.

Can you accommodate a guest with a disability?

For safety reasons on board, we limit the number of disabled guests. All disabled guests must travel with a companion. Please let us know the extent of any disability when you make your booking, so that we can ensure our facilities will be suitable.

Can you book pre and/or post-cruise stays?

Yes, as part of Fred.\ Holidays, we are perfectly placed to book city stays both before and/or after their cruise.

We can also organise twin-centre holidays, inclusive of transfers to/from the ship if required. Simply let us know at the time of booking and we will do the rest.
