OUR HERITAGE ON THE RIVER With roots throughout Europe and along distinctive Austrian and German waterways, a passion for river cruising is a part of our very DNA. Our Co-Founder and President, Rudi Schreiner, grew up in Vienna, at the heart of the Danube River, later venturing to Peru, where he built a raft and set sail along the Amazon River. While Rudi fueled his adventurous spirit, our Executive Vice President, Kristin Karst, was discovering the magic of travel in her hometown of Dresden, Germany, sailing with her family along the Elbe River. A thousand miles away, our beloved late Co-Founder Jimmy Murphy was realising his passions for people and travel from his home in Ireland, planting the seeds for his future career.
