Full Transit Panama Canal, Inca Discovery & Chilean Wines 24 days departing 18th November 2022 Departing Fort Lauderdale aboard Holland America Line MS Oosterdam you will make your way to Aruba and its luscious white sandy beaches before heading onto the Panama Canal. Your journey is a full-transit along one of the most astonishing human-made wonders known to man, definitely one where you will always want to be on deck with your camera ready, as you venture deep through the Panamanian rain forest. Following your transit you will arrive later on your cruise in Callao (Lima), Peru, a tale of two cities. Colonial charms abound in the city’s historic centre, where it boasts impressive plazas which are overseen by Baroque and neoclassical cathedrals, palaces, monasteries and remnants of ancient city walls. But a different Lima emerges in the cliff-hugging seaside barrios of Miraflores and Barranco. Miraflores, Lima’s modern face, is a bustling enclave of chic restaurants, bars and nightlife. One of the city’s allures is navigating between the old and the new. This is a real highlight of your itinerary and as you enjoy two overnights in port you will have plenty of time to discover. Your journey will continue through to San Antonio where you will disembark and transfer to Santiago, where you will stay for the next 4 nights. During which we have included a visit to the Maipo Valley Wine Region with a certified sommelier on a full-day wine tasting tour and a half-day private trip to Valle Nevado with cheese and wine. This will also be a chance to experience the true beauty of the Andes mountain range. Finally we have included a 4-hour tour of Santiago itself, helping you immerse yourself in the political, cultural, economic heart of Chilean culture.
