Tony Prince A legendary figurehead in Radio, Tony met Elvis Presley twice and climbed a 180 foot mast with Tony Blackburn on Radio Caroline. At the age of 15 be shared a jockey’s life with Willie Carson. In 1959 he borrowed Ringo Starr’s cowboy boots to enter a singing contest at a Butlin’s Holiday Camp. Between Radio Caroline and Luxembourg he appeared on Coronation Street and in Pantomime in his home town. In 1968 Prince joined Radio Luxembourg as part of their first live team with Noel Edmonds, Kid Jensen and Paul Burnett. He has sung with Paul McCartney and was the first DJ in the world to interview Elvis in his Las Vegas Hilton dressing room on two occasions, and once introduced Elvis on stage. This and many more stories make up the colourful life of Tony Prince.
