Glacier Express

The “World’s Slowest Express Train” takes you on the ultimate leisurely journey transSwitzerland at the gentle pace of 24mph.

Starting in the shadow of the mighty Matterhorn, the train will skirt the edge of the River Rhone before ascending to altitudes of over 2000m through the Alps and then wind through the Rhine Gorge. The Glacier Express trundles across 291 bridges, including the truly spectacular Landwasser Viaduct, finally completing the day-long trip on the UNESCO World Heritage Albula Line, shared with the Bernina Express.
