This month's selections were made by ourguest judge,CarlosEnriqueGozaloAra(Madrid,1964) He is a professional painter and Advanced TechnicianinPlasticArtswithacareerspanning since1987.ExhibitinginMadrid,Barcelona,and Marseille, his work has earned international recognition, including prestigious awards in Franceandillustrationprizes.Transitioningfrom traditional painting to photographic and digital media, Gozalo explores the tension between memory, the sacred, and technology. Through layering textures and patterns, he creates visual palimpsests where figures decompose and reconfigure. His practice invites active contemplation, reflecting on the erosion oftime, digital noise, and the complexities of contemporary faith and experience. His work, “Medea,” was featured on thefrontcoverofthe AprilIssueofTheForwardianGazette.
