This month's selections were made by our guest judge, Abigail Santiago. She is a Pennsylvania-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of anatomy, psychology, transformation, and emotional memory Influenced by both her medical background and deeply personal symboliclanguage,herpaintingsblendsurreal organic forms, anatomical structures, florals, andvividcolorpalettestoexaminethetension between beauty and discomfort, fragility and resilience. Her work often navigates themes of identity, grief, healing, feminine power, human connection, and the unseen emotional landscapes carried within the body. Through layered textures, intuitive movement, and symbolic imagery, she createspiecesthatfeel simultaneously intimate and otherworldly, inviting viewers into spaces that are both psychologically charged and visually immersive. Her work, “Energy Sees,” was featuredonthefrontcoveroftheMayIssueof TheForwardianGazette.
