The 5th Annual Pocono Pride Festival was held in Stroudsburg, PA, on Sunday, June 1st. Due to several delays, I was unable to attend a large portion of the festival. However, the closing events I experienced provedworthwhile,andIwasgladtobethere."

Thefestivalencompassedalargeareaofthetownand includednumerousvendors Thefestivalfeaturedthree stagesfilledwithliveandrecordedentertainment Flags and bannerscelebratingNationalPrideMonthadorned the lampposts and area, commemorating thehistorical andongoingstrugglesoftheLGBTQ+community.

The REBEL Stage, located on 6th Street, was surroundedbyartificialgrasstogivetheareaarelaxed, outdoor feel that complemented the performances Although I arrived after the scheduled performances had concluded, earlier in the day, the stage featured youth performances, story time, and family-friendly musicalacts,interspersedwithsetsbyDJE.V.E.

TheSpotlightStagewaslocatedonthecornerof6th and Main Street near The Renegade Winery Sylvia Thompson of Create and Be servedastheMistressof Ceremonies, presenting several musicians and poets, with DJ Gold FM providing music between performances. I was only able to experience the performance of comedic singer-songwriter Jessica Delfinobeforeexploringtherestofthefestival

Thefestival’sCenterStagewaslocatedinthetown’s courthouse square and Carol Ann and Sharron Ann Husbands(alsoknownasClanAnn/CarolAnn)exuded a magical charm that enhanced each performer's time on stage. The lineup included singer-songwriter Dina Hall, drag performances by Belle Pepper and Kay Gorgeous, and Black Cherry Loveé DJFrankBiShop spun tunes between performances American Sign Language Interpretation for the deaf was provided by Inclusive Communication Services during the Center StagePerformances.

The 5th Annual Pocono Pride Festival is saidtohave begun with a simple dream among a fewfriendswho wanted to see themselves and their LGBTQ+ community represented and accepted by the larger community Theycollaboratedwithcommunityleaders to develop the concept of the Pocono Pride Festival Eventually, the Pocono PRIDE Coalition emerged to provide ongoing support and resources for the LGBTQ+ Community across the Pocono Mountains Region.

In addition to presenting their annual festival, the Pocono PRIDE Coalition has presented additional events in celebration of National Pride Month They include TheStroudsburgPridePubCrawltakingplace inthenumerousdrinkingestablishmentsthroughoutthe town on Saturday June 14th beginning at 7pm and a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Pocono Cinema in East Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday June21stbeginningat9pm PleasecontactThePocono Pride Festival at wwwpoconopridefestivalcom for moreinformation

ThePoconoHeritageLandTrustinEastStroudsburg, PA, heldanArtist’sReceptionfortheir"IWonderasI Wander" Exhibition featuring the work of Tricia Lowrey Lippert on Wednesday, June 4th. The

exhibitionshowcasedanawe-inspiringcollectionofoil paintings,mixedmedia,andpastelpieces Theseworks aimed to reveal both the grandeur and the intimate details of nature. The reception was well attended. Manyconversationstookplace;abundantrefreshments accompaniedtheart-relateddiscussions.

The Pocono Heritage Land Trust works to preserve importantlandsinthePoconoregion Foundedin1984, it originated as a local land protection organization at the recommendation of The Nature Conservancy. The Trustfocusesonlargeparcelsof100ormoreacresand historically significant lands that represent our collective culturalheritage ThePoconoHeritageLand Trust existsforthebenefitofitscommunity,including presentandfuturegenerationsofresidents,visitors,and touristsinMonroeandcontiguouscounties

Their "I Wonder as I Wander" Exhibition, featuring the work of Tricia Lowrey Lippert,willbeondisplay until June 30th. Orange (or 'O')recentlyhostedacaptivatingArtists’ Receptionforits'HumanConnections:JazzandFigure on Friday, June 13 The exhibition, hostedthroughout the establishment’s inviting coffeehouse in Delaware Water Gap, PA, showcased evocative artwork celebrating the human form. The evening's ambiance

was beautifully enhanced bythemesmerizingnotesof livejazzperformedbytheJoeMichaelsTrio Adiverse groupofartistsparticipated,withtheircompellingwork complementing pieces from the permanent O Collection.

The"HumanConnections:JazzandFigureShow"was hosted by Trisha Lowrey Lippert, who collaborated with the late Sara Bauer Ms Bauer recently passed away, but she was an integral part of O’s artistic contributiontothearea,havingestablishedthevenueas arenownedhavenforcreativity.Thisexhibition,andall future shows, will be presented in her honor. Her profoundloveforlocalartistswillcontinuetoresonate with all who knew her; through these exhibitions,her legacywillcontinuetoinspire

On a truly summery day, music filled the streets of Milford, PA, as theboroughcelebrateditsannualMusic Festival. The three-day festival ran from Friday, June 20th, to June 22nd. My visit on the 21st proved to be quiteanauditoryadventure
